Best donut place ever! Customer service 10. Out of 10! Gave me a free donut but sorry couldn't show it because I ate it right away and btw the cinnamon roll was soft delicious and heavenly best just the best like always!

So we've all been to donut places and they're all the same, right? WRONG, I was skeptical that this little strip mall shop next to the Grocery Outlet was worth the trip but I got schooled. First of all the proprietress is amazing friendly and helpful. The selection of donuts is wide and they are bursting with freshness and homemade flavor. Just to give a quick example of the over the top commitment to quality at Sunrise, I ordered a custard filled donut so she pulls a chocolate covered rectangle from the case and proceeds to fill it with delicious custard right then and there. No sitting around getting soggy. She also threw in some donut holes and a blueberry donut that was still warm. If you can spare a few calories, this is a great stop. Bring a dozen to work to lock in that "employee of the year" badge you've been coveting.

Best donuts in town thus far. Service within the small shop was quick, including the picking of donuts, making sure you get what you want, updating you as you go as to what number you're in, and cashing out. The line behind me was 3-4 people by the time I left. $12.00 for a dozen of the mixed donuts was a great price. The sprinkled cake donuts came in a variety of colors which enticed my kiddo. All different types of other donuts including the cruller (my favorite)/ chocolate, sugar and glazed original/ maple and chocolate bars/ apple fritter and some others were available. Beyond the donut types, their availability and the service, the staff was nice and opening and the store seemed overall welcoming. The donuts themselves were fresh, well balanced and soft in the perfect bite kind of way.

Everybody knows Sunrise donuts has the best donuts in Petaluma. I really like how they are not super sweet and the baking quality is first class. The lady Alice who runs the place is friendly and her foods are yummy. Try it for yourself!!!

We spotted this place after leaving sushi in the same shopping complex, and popped in on our way out of town, a little farewell to Petaluma after a great vacay. Boy, its safe to say it would take a lot to make me get emotional about donuts, but Sunrise Donuts made it happen! This babies are the freshest, most delectable little pillows of goodness we've ever tasted! Each variety we chose was the best it could have been, from the chocolate croissant to crullers, to the kids' chocolate bars. The owner was friendly as could be, and the pride and love he takes in creating those masterpieces comes thru! Bonus: 2 little donut holes magically appeared in the bag too, who even does that?!?! What an amazing little touch! If you find yourself near this place, just go. Don't second guess, don't hesitate. Diet later. Donut now!

Everything you would ever want or need in a donut shop. Super friendly helpful service. The raised glazed are lighter than air and so is the cinnamon roll, surely there can't be any calories involved here. This was such a delicious way to ruin my wife's and my New Years resolutions, we'll be back!! read more

I have never met a donut I didn't like...until I met a Sunrise donut. It made me think that maybe the owners do not like or eat donuts themselves. Somehow managed to be tasteless, dry and greasy all at the same time. read more

I sent my teenager in to make a purchase at the nearby grocery. He went to pay but his debit card failed. I guess you have to have money in the account for it to work? He was upset as was his little sister. The nice lady there said little sister could wait there while my son fetched me. Actually my money. .. When they came back to me worth a box of donuts they told me the woman have little sister three free ones "for being such a sweetie". And they were delicious. read more

Pretty good doughnuts. Doughnuts remind me of when i was young and my dad would take me to the doughnut shop for breakfast sometimes, so i guess u can say doughnuts hold a certain memory for me, so its important that the doughnut place is good... sunrise hits the mark pretty well, if u get there early enough the doughnuts and glaze are still warm. I do have to say theyre one of the more pricy foughnut places ive been to, used to paying $1 for a dozen doughnut holes, this place is $2.25. I do have to say There coffee is not good. Also i wish they had lottery scratchers, a typical morning with my dad was a dozen doughnut holes(always thrilled if there were a few extra) a small bottle of apple juice, and hed buy scratchers and let me scratch them, so it would be nice if they had them. read more

The woman who helps run the shop is the sweetest thing ever and always remembers what I like (apple fritter......theirs are to die for). I can tell she is just genuinely an amazing person. My kids were craving real and authentic donuts! I have probably driven past this particular place thousands of times and never thought to give it a try! We walked in and the owner warmly greeted all of us. She has an amazing smile and has some amazing customer service! We got 7 donuts which were ALL out of this world! Made fresh daily! She is also a generous one! She threw two "free" donuts in for us to try since it was our first time. Come and give Sunrise Donuts a try! It's an absolute must! read more

My go-to place for my occasional donut fix as a treat. The lady that is usually serving there is really nice to everyone. There's nothing fancy here, pretty much the usual stuff, but I've never had anything that left me disappointed. Reasonable prices and always reliably made. Recommend any of the glazed varieties. read more
