There are only a few seats inside near the windows where you can people watch or be watched by the incoming line while you enjoy a delicious assortment of pastries. I got the prosciutto, fig and jam puff pastry. So yummy and the crunch on the layers were definitely on point. I also grabbed me a chocolate chip cookie which is huge and probably the same size as my face. And of course my sweet tooth wouldn't let me walk away from the register without grabbing a brownie. Took my girlfriends here for some pregame breakfast bites before one of our tournaments and they loved everything they got. So many things to choose from, you'll probably leave with a box. Found this location after driving around Petaluma and decided to give it a try. came around noon and initially there was no line however after we ordered the line blew up. We ordered: 1. Strawberry maritozzi: Of all of the pastries this was actually my last favorite. I felt like the bread was a bit dry and flavorless. The cream was good however and not too sweet like your typical American dessert. I think if they could some how use a different type of bun that isn't as dry, this would be amazing. 2. Caprese Sandwich (wrap): This was incredible. I really liked this sandwich. It was so flavorful and the balance of the pesto and chicken was amazing. Highly recommend. Very large and filling too. 3. Mushroom focaccia: Loved this! Focaccia was fluffy and a very generous amount of mushrooms on top. 4. Passion Fruit pasty: I LOVED this! It reminds me of being in hawaii again and reminded me of the malasalas there however in a pastry dough form. 5. Chocolate pistachio croissant: High quality pasty very fluffy and light with huge amount of chocolate. Overall, I felt like the savory items were incredible and overshadowed the sweet items. Stopped by with my family around 11 a.m. and were greeted by a line out the door. Don't let that discourage you though--the bakery has a very efficient system, and the line moved surprisingly fast. Inside, there was an amazing selection of pastries, salads, and local products. My favorite was the chocolate orange cake, which was moist with a subtle orange flavor. My dad loved the vegetarian croissant, and my mom enjoyed the blueberry croissant. Everything was delicious, though the pastries were a little on the denser side. The real standout for me was the coffee. I ordered a plain iced latte, and it was strong, smooth, and not bitter at all. You can also add vanilla or classic syrup if you prefer a sweeter drink. Stellina Pronto is usually busy and has lines out the door. Thus, we decided to grab coffee from a coffeehouse first and sip while waiting in line and waiting for the food. Stellina Pronto has many options. This time, we decided to go there specifically for their pastries to compliment our coffee. We ordered at the front counter and waited several minutes for our pastries - which was odd because it wasn't heated nor any extras were added so they could've easily grabbed the pastry from the front counter instead of verbally calling us back by name. A better workflow will greatly benefit the speed of processing orders. Parking could be a challenge during peak times but there are parking lots and street parking nearby. The pastry was flaky, puffy, and the fruit was ripe and not sour. I'll be back when I'm in the area to try their other pastries and dishes. read more

The cream was also thick enough to not leak everywhere and didn't taste artificial. Really enjoy this one! ** strawberry and cream chiffon cake slice (3.5/5): didn't really feel like a chiffon cake or maybe it was on the drier side. It worked well with the mascarpone frosting though, which was smooth and a little too rich for me by itself. There wasn't too much strawberry besides the sweet jam layer in the middle. ** Brutta mi buoni (4/5): translated to "ugly but delicious," this craggly meringue actually caught my eye and curiosity for its looks. I'm usually not a fan of meringues, but this one was loaded with nuts and was tasty. Kind of tastes like a refined version of those Lucky Charms cereal marshallows in a good way! We noticed a line outside Stellina Pronto the first day we were in Petaluma so we knew we had to visit. We went for breakfast, there was a constant flow of customers, visitors, as well as many who appeared to be locals. The bakery is small, but the service flow was efficient. My croissant was fresh and very buttery. There was a great selection of pastries, sweet as well as savory. Employees were pleasant and service was quick. We enjoyed our coffee and pastries at the window bar where we could see people enjoying the pleasant spring morning in downtown Petaluma. We were in Petaluma and stumbled into Stellina Pronto when we were looking for some breakfast and what a find! The line out the door when we arrived was the first sign we were in for something special. When you walk in, there's a beautiful spread of freshly made salads, packaged cookies, baked goods, drinks, and all kinds of seasonal treats. Everything looked so good it was almost overwhelming in the best way possible. You order at the front after moving through the line (which, by the way, moves quickly thanks to the super friendly staff). The pastry selection is incredible, and it was hard to choose. They also had frittatas and a variety of savory sandwiches that looked just as tempting. We ended up trying the Pronto pull-apart muffin, which had layers of flaky puff pastry and apples--absolutely delicious. We also got the vanilla brioche bread pudding, and it was divine--rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. They also serve pizza for lunch, and if it's anything like their pastries, I'm sure it's fantastic. The coffee bar is just as impressive. I ordered a cortado, and it was perfectly made with just the right amount of milk. There are a few seats inside and some outside, making it a great spot to sit and enjoy your coffee and treats if you can snag a spot. I'm being generous with the two stars because at least my food wasn't rotting. But I was here this morning, shortly after another Yelper actually - her review mentioned the "trash service" by the workers here, and I have to agree. It was terrible. The prices here are crazy, and it's not that hard to actually be kind to people. I asked specifically how to heat the corned beef pastry at home, and I followed the instructions and it was stone cold in the middle and I had to pull it out of the oven because it was starting to burn inside. It was deeply disappointing. Customer service was lacking, and when my order was ready, the female staffer wouldn't even look at me - she was just concerned with chatting about plans with her coworker. I really wanted a container for that corned beef pastry so it wouldn't get smashed on my drive home, but she could not be bothered to stop her chit-chat. Stellina Pronto is the Italian bakery of my dreams. I grew up in an Italian American family in Providence, RI. There are very few places out here on the West Coast that remind me of the foods I grew up with. This is one of those places. In many ways, this bakery steps up even more than places I grew up with. The flavors, the textures and the quality of ingredients really shine here. On my visit the other day, I got one of their pre-made salads and two pastries. Their lemon ricotta puff is has a custard that is so delicious. The pastry is light and flaky. The passion freight kouign Amman is a similar pastry but it's baked longer with more caramelization on it. The passion fruit custard here is so tart and sweet. I wish there was more of it! I got the Tuscan Cobb salad as well. There are many elements in this salad and I love that. It has crunchiness from the chick peas and pancetta, the blue cheese crumbles have a strong flavor but I love it, the red wine-marinated egg is unique and fun, plus the chicken is really good. It's a tight fit, so you can expect to stand in line in a cramped space for a bit before ordering, but it gives you plenty of time to peruse their gorgeous creations and make up your mind before reaching the counter. I especially love the pistachio cream puff and can't say no to it whenever it's available. It has crunchy pistachio on top and an insane custardy filling that is unreal.
