On the day the sprinklers installation was completed I asked to see the sprinklers on a smartphone using What's up because I do not live in Florida. I was told I need to use FaceTime but I do not have an Apple phone so could not use it. I was transferred to another employee of the company who was extremely rude and threatened to put a lien on my house the next day if I do not pay for the work without seeing the completed job. After a very stressful conversation I managed to convince the employee that I need to see the work completed on What's up. The sprinklers check was done a few weeks after the lawn installation because the company had no earlier appointments. Correct watering of the new lawn in a timely manner after installing is critical. I was very surprised the company had not planned for it in their schedule. I was told by the technician I would get pictures of the system after the sprinklers adjustments after the lawn was installed. I never got them. Overall the service of the company is very bad. read more

I am not sure where the 4.9 star rating originated but it sure was not from installation of a drip irrigation system. I have converted from sod to a landscape of Florida natives and did not want to continue spraying water all over the mulch in between plants which only encourages weeds in the mulch. My request was a quote for a drip irrigation system. What I got after the quote was a bunch of drip hose layer on top of the existing mulch and not one drip emitter at any plant. To boot the brand new valve system was installed with a huge bow in the PVC. That all had to be removed only to next get miles of delivery hose, which now got buried and at least 50 sprayers which deliver 23 GPH. The whole point of Florida natives is to conserve on water. The valve manifold was replaced, #2. I proceeded to remove the sprayer and plug and/or replace them with drip emitters and discovered that the 2nd valve manifold was leaking at two of the valves. I was fed up! I requested a repair of the leaks and when the worker came to replace the manifold for the third time, I was told that the "supervisor" wanted me to sign something that said the 3 year warranty on the job would be null if I removed sprinklers or in any way altered the poor work they had done. Of course I did not sign anything of the sort. After the manifold was replaced, #3, and the guy left, I discovered AGAIN!!!! a valve leaking at the manifold. How could this be?!?! This would be the 3rd time. Please DO NOT use this company. They have no idea what drip irrigation is nor do they stand behind their work. I have never been so disappointed in trying to support a "local" company. They have failed me and will fail you too. read more

Called Sunrise because of a pressure problem with two circuits and coverage problems. Skyler told me what he was going to do and I paid for the service and repairs. The first time the sprinklers came on my neighbor asked why I was watering his house. None of the heads had been adjusted and the wrong nozzles were installed in several places. There was also a huge leak in the back yard. When I called back I was able to get two service techs that told me it would be another $400 to fix the leak that I had already paid for. I told them no way and they can expect a bill from another company to fix the problem. They called the next day and decided it would be better to make the repair than go to court. They fixed the leak the day after but never adjusted the spray patterns. They are an overpriced nightmare. read more

It is a not a review of thier service because the appointment i made was never done. I had a scheduled time of 2 - 5 and it was confirmed. I received a call at around 2:30 saying they would be there between 4-5, at 4:30 they called and said they were running behind and would need to reschedule for another day. The worst.... Had a complete installation from scratch coming to over 10k. One of the zones had problems and would just leak everywhere instead of activating 1/2 the time. After being called out I was told they installed to many heads on that zone. They would cap 2 of them but would need to charged me 200.00 to do it. Mind you this is within 3-months of the install. As I had new sod at this point I just paid the money. Still doesn't work, and now I am having to call a new company as they don't even respond. Find another company, don't use this one. read more

Had a leaking valve. They came and said it was fixed. On the next run of the system a pipe burst which they said was unrelated. In addition the original valve continued to leak. I called them again for the original problem, again they said it was fixed. It is still leaking. I paid $650 in total. read more

Our sprinkler system died for unknown reasons We contacted a local sprinkler company in St. Pete with good reviews, and they completely bailed on coming out. No call, no show. We decided to go with the Sunrise Irrigation because they had a ton of great reviews. We had Mike Green as our tech. He was on time, super polite and super knowledgable. He had a very easy going attitude and found the problem immediately. It was something to do with a pressure valve / switch on the pump. He found it so quickly. He then went around and adjusted the sprinkler heads to make sure our yard was getting the right amount of water. I was really really really happy with the customer service from start to finish. I am writing to revise my negative review of Sunrise Irrigation. They have addressed all of my issues and did so very quickly, once I wrote my first review. They were also able to show me some things about drip irrigation that I had not previously understood. Had I been more available, the project likely would have gone much more smoothly. I believe they are a skilled and professional company. There were some "bumps" along the way, but they were quickly remediated. Just bought a new home in Palm Harbor. Within a week I noticed I had some irrigation issues. Called sunrise irrigation. They were booked 2 weeks out but they called me 1 day later and came over ASAP. Very nice people. Both service contacts have been superior. Techs arrive on time, clean, friendly and ready to get the work completed. I have interacted with Kyle and Mike H., both very competent guys who will not stop until the problem is resolved. They are willing to address our concerns with great knowledge and professionalism. My sprinkler system was 20+ years old and was showing signs of low flow through the sprinklers, moreover one of the valve boxes was buried under some Cypres roots. I asked Sunrise to come out to help me find my valve box. The tech showed up as scheduled (Jose) and I asked him for a couple different quotes. One quote to find my valve box, remove the roots, and install a new valve box. The other, I asked him for a quote to find my valve box, replace the valve box, and replace the valves and timer. He first inspected my sprinkler system to verify nothing else needed attention. About an hour later he came to me with three quotes. Quote 1, find and replace the valve box. Quote 2, find and replace the valve box and replace the valves and replace the back flow valve. Quote 3, all the above and replace the timer. I chose to go with quote 2 and he started working immediately. It took a about 4 hours to complete. The sprinkler system is working perfectly now and I couldn't be happier!!! Jose was very friendly and very professional. I would highly reccomend Sunrise Irrigation, and do plan on hiring them again in the future. read more

From Ashley on the front end dealing with all the craziness and panic mode etc., to the tech's doing the work and handling the panic mode etc !!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE !! This used to be a good company, not no more. We called them out over a month ago because our water bill was every high. They sent two young guys, one of them was being trained. They told us the programming was all messed up. They supposedly "fixed" the issue. A month later our grass is completely dry!!! I go over to check and they NEVER programmed it!!!! we call them again and they sent a different guy "Lenny" yesterday. Lenny comes and tells us the previous guy set the days, and then didn't set the times. He set times on a different program and our grass was never being watered because of this error. Lenny said he programmed it back and going forward it will be running fine. Before he left he reassured us we will not be charged because of this error. (Before he came the girl on the phone and supervisor said we will be charged and that it's the techs call not too charge if he finds something wrong). Well being that he saw his previous fellow coworker messed up our grass big time he didn't charge us. Reassured my husband he will put all of what the other guy did wrong in his notes and on the invoice and email us. Well guess what? never got an email. Went over to the garage after he left and Lenny had our sprinkler system OFF. When I put it back on run, once again it shows that the system was programmed for ONE day. I call back the irrigation company and spoke to a girl named Alicia. At this point I'm furious, Alicia tells me in the notes Lenny did not state that it was the guys fault from the previous time. I said where are the notes? we never got an invoice or email. So supposedly she sent it over. Still have not received it. I asked to speak to her supervisor and Lenny on 3 way. I had a real gut feeling this would happen and his story would change. She told me the supervisor was on lunch. She'll call me back once she gets back. NEVER DID. When I tried calling them back again they have already closed. So today the supervisor Dina decided to call me. I explain to her what exactly had happened when Lenny was here and what he told us. She decided to proceed with going against me and practically accusing me of lying and saying her men would never do this. I have absolutely no reason to lie. She was one of the people that told me we would be charged for Lennys visit unless he found a mistake. Well guess what? We weren't charged!!!!! He found a mistake!!!! So Dina now contradicts herself trying to cover up so their company doesn't look bad. I said call Lenny and have him get on the phone. Let's all three way and let me call him out. He told us completely different stuff from what he wrote down She supposedly "spoke to lenny" I'm pretty sure that didn't happen. She was just reading his notes. Well where's the invoice!? why can't you let me see it!? I STILL did not get it!!! These notes are being hidden. Wonder why? maybe because Lenny did write that your guy messed up and you don't want to show me? Dina of course hung up on me, liars liars liars!!!! Tried calling back, of course she cowardly didn't answer. Waiting for Monday to speak to the owner. DO NOT USE THEM. I should have listened to all the people in tarpon springs that warned me. Their customer service is terrible. They've offered to fix valves over and over and each time they fail. They also did not remove old plumbing that was above ground as promised. They've had to come out 3 times. Still to no avail. When I escalated to management I was given mistreatment and spoken to like a child. I informed them I was recording the conversation. I was then told by the lady I wouldn't bully her. I explained this is not bullying I'm simply recording the conversation. She hung up the phone. I've also been told the lady that's in charge doesn't have a vm system. We are past the 1950's phone system. I paid them to completely put in a whole new system and remove the old. read more

Purchased a house in 2015 that had been neglected by it elderly owners, causing a constant water leak for over a year that no one could locate, so had outrageous water bills from Pinellas County Utilities. Called numerous sprinkler companies, who charged me large amounts of money, yet never corrected the problem. Then called Sunrise Irrigation, who capped off the problem area, changed numerous sprinkler heads, adjusted the time on each individual section, and advised me when to increase my watering time. Now my sprinkler system is working the way it should, and saving me money, especially since I am a Disabled Senior on a fixed income. read more
