Another year stopping on the adventure bike to get out of the tent and take a real shower. It's stopping points like this that make it all good. Susie and John are awesome, the place is nice and quiet. There's good food and a cool little store in town, and a convenience store/gas station across the street. I make it a point to stop here just because the hosts are so nice and it is a perfect place to decompress after spending a day off road across the black rock desert.

We had an amazing 2 night stay. We parked our 35ft fifth wheel (4 slides) and still had plenty of room, manager is very pleasant and easy going. Loved the "No fuss" check in and check out. We will definitely will be coming back. Thank you

This was our first visit but definitely not our last! What an amazing place. Our room was lovely,…read morevery clean, and the hot tub was great! The entire Surprise Valley are is beautiful. Can't wait to return. BTW... We were there the same weekend as the person with the dogs who left the one star review. We had occasion to speak with the men who work there a couple of times and they were kind and helpful, not at all as this person described. Seems this was more a her problem than a place problem.

YES this stay is all about the hot springs and having the PRIVATE POOL with each room. For me…read morethere's no place like it. I LOVE THE PRIVACY. I've been here several times. It is always AWESOME. It's obviously older but does not feel old because it is soooo well maintained. The grounds with the lakes and the geese with their babies make walking around to get a few steps in, a really nice experience. There's a deck with chairs next to one of the little lakes. All rooms have functional kitchens with pots pans dishes etc. AND a full size refrigerator. I checked out the bigger rooms with the indoor tubs and they are like apartments. HUGE. The indoor tubs have the same hot mineral water flowing through but I found the rooms too warm for me because they are more humid. I prefer the small rooms with the outdoor tubs. But if you have a big group the big rooms are a super bargain and I'm thinking you can open the windows to cool it off. The small rooms all have newer AC HEAT units that are fabulous. I'm not sure about the big rooms. You should ask. The outdoor tubs are showing their age because the finish has worn off from use but they are totally comfortable and always fresh and clean and comfortable. The office hours are short and the voicemail box seems to always be full so gettin in touch takes some patience BUT IT IS WORTH IT if you want a ONE NITE STAY. If you check the reservations calendar and see one available night between blocked out nights, you CAN NOT book it online but they will let you stay one night if you CALL THEM. You just might have to call several times. But again...worth it! If you find this review useful please VOTE!

We rolled up with no reservation on a Thursday night, and not sure what to expect. Other reviews…read morewere all over the map - some great, some not so great. Firstly, the person I dealt with at the desk (the new owner) was super nice, and we were able to check in to a beautiful, newly renovated room. The decor was Scandinavian minimalist, with recycled wood, and a large comfy couch for serious lounging. The room was ADA ready and sparkling clean. The bed was comfy with excellent linens. There are planned renovations to the bar/restaurant area inside the main building that I assume are now on hold due to current Covid restrictions. Secondly, the hot springs itself is a large, in-ground concrete pool that's open air. Total plus. While this portion of the resort is still to be renovated, the water is clean and hot. The pool is drained every night and refilled the following morning. The source water comes out at 140 degrees and is regulated to be around 98 to 100 degrees. It was a joy to float in the water, as bats flew overhead and the stars glowed in the evening sky. Don't know if I'll ever make it back there again, but I wish the new owners well and hope other Yelpers will seek them out for a stay and a soak. Lakeview is a fairly rural town but quaint and welcoming.

Nice hotel room. But the one soaking pool they have isn't that hot. Maybe 85-90 degrees? We were…read morethere when the wind was whipping sideways freezing us out, so it would have been nice to have a screen barrier on the end to protect from the wind. Restaurant was run by 1 server who also was the bartender. Took a long time to get waited on, as they were busy. VERY COOL natural geyser going off outside. Worth the stop just for that! I hope they continue ie to remodel and upgrade this. So much fun branding to be done and revamping the immersive brand experience if they tap into that. This could be a wonderful drive-to destination...
