WOW... and not in a good way. You can't bill your RV park as a stargazer's destination while employing Clark W Griswold with his camper lit up like it's Christmas time. He had more damn lights on that thing, burning all night long, than a car dealership. Not to mention, they borrowed the moon tower from the Dazed and Confused set which stayed on all night as well. Needless to say, not ideal if your intent was watching the meteor shower. For an added bonus, the maintenance guys moved a picnic table against our RV door and left it there, trapping us inside! If you just need a place to park overnight and plan on staying there, be sure to pack some bug spray. There was a higher concentration of mosquitoes than I've ever encountered anywhere else in all of my travels. They were large too. If you were so inclined you could probably saddle them for an aerial view of the property. read more

The location is "ok" the experience is not! It's amazing how a little power can go to someone's head. After trying to communicate the wrong doings of the park it was obvious that the woman that runs the office reservation desk was more than enthusiastic to just be down right rude and nasty. After making reservations a full year and advance, the park decided to change all of the rules and the cost! Do not give these people a credit card! Our stay went from being a 4 night stay to a required 7 night stay and the charge of a "golf' package without authorization! The only thing this woman would do to attempt to accommodate us was to offer that we pack up our entire set up and move to another spot for a night. Even though nobody would be using the spot that we were in, in which we reserved a year ago! End result, we packed up and left a day early. She actually had the nerve, when I was alone to tell me that I could scream, holler and throw myself on the ground and it would not change anything, she was bound and determined to screw us because we spoke up in front of others in our large group! She would not give us the name of the manager or the owners and said we would not be able to contact them. Look at the other "Yelp" reviews and take them to heart! She will make your stay miserable if she can! What a true loss for this park. I hope they get a clue at some point! Another customer lost! My family has been coming to this campsite for a few years in a row and raved about the convenience and the ability to get our large family together. This was my first year attending and was incredibly disappointed in the place. First, the golf course is way overpriced for the way it is maintained. Your shoes sank 3-5" on all fairways and greens due to excessive water, not to mention having to fish your golf ball out of 5" of gross water at each hole. There are grasshoppers surrounding the fairways to where you have to duck in hopes to not get pelted by them. Then there are the mosquitos at every hole, not even the best spray can keep them away. Second, the pictures are definitely not as advertised, there are mostly all dirt campgrounds with a few that have grass. The campgrounds again, are infested with mosquitos. Despite spraying myself every hour, I ended up with 58 bites. For the price they charge, spraying their property might serve useful and make guests more comfortable. Lastly, the hosts lacked professionalism, manners, communication skills and were everything but welcoming. We were consistently yelled at prior to 10pm to be quiet. Also, there is a way to ask us to be quiet, morris code from a flashlight and screaming don't necessarily do the trick. We did a family golf tournament and were cursed at for being on hole 18 with 20 minutes left until we had to turn in the carts. Maybe if they managed their course better people wouldn't have to wait 5-8minutes at each hole to tee off. Overall, my family made the best out of the experience we had and are more than happy to be 86'd from this place. I would highly encourage you to find another place to enjoy your time. p.s. We have stayed and tried to stay here. I think this is a "last resort" kind of place. It's really all there is in these parts. First time time we stayed on the asphalt camp ground was brief . Not aesthetically pleasing but functional. Best advice from the people who work here was to visit Blue Lake. That is now our go to camping place. This place though....no. We called this weekend for a spot and we're told they are full. We ca e through the place today an$ 5here is space. The woman was not friendly an$ seemed to be holding out for a multi night booking....but she couldn't seem to be transparent on that - for whatever reason. Anyway, you don't have many choices in this area....I'd just suggest you make your visit brief. Food is meh. RV facility is functional. Not exactly the campground advertised with pictures they show. We got here and the full hookup sites are all dirt no grass. I needed to work while friends went golfing but their internet does not even show up at our sites. We were looking forward to using the free kayaks and paddle boards only to find the lake was 18 miles away, not on the property. The mosquitos chewed us up the minutes the sun went down. Super nice place. We RV'ed in back up spot 11. Beautiful view out the back into a meadow, on the end of the row. There is a tent site in the grass next to 11. It was quite and guest were respectful. Staff were super nice and informative. Breakfast was amazing, very fast, and good food, with an even better view. I suggest taking a drive out to Blue Lake and West Valley Reservoir. But lots to do just on site, even if your not a golfer. We fished the ponds on site and caught, large mouth bass and blue gill. read more

From the 395 hwy turn onto 64 (jess valley road) it's apx one mile, not the 6 miles our gps said. Look for their sign and flags. Nice rv park, we were in a back-in by the meadow. Had nice shade trees and a patch of grass. Noticed the level above us was pull through sites and had no shade or grass. Surprised to see group areas that you could "circle the wagons " Very nice idea for groups. Enjoyed our stay here read more

Our families have been coming to Likely for many years. This past weekend to Likely was the most unpleasant, unprofessional and rude camp hosts our families have ever encountered. The 80 family members came to celebrate an "80" birthday party for one of our family members. There were approximately 40 of us golfing. We were criticized, cursed at, treated so rudely as we golfed. No need to be so unkind. We had a big group and we followed all the rules. We understand that the campsites had to be quiet by 10:00 pm. We apologize that we went over the curfew still singing, giggling until 10:20 pm. Hosts told us our voices carried and we were to loud. What do you expect with 80 people. We went to bed abiding the hosts rules. Next morning host went to our family member who organized this function and told her that was strike #1 and we had 1 more chance before we were kicked out. Saturday night was our birthday celebration and we had a Rib Contest. At 9:15 the Camp Host came to our family gathering to tell us to turn the music down. Not 2 minutes later as someone was trying to turn the music down, camp host yelled saying to us "Turn that music down". We said "We are"! Even after the music was turned down, the host was still rude and told us we had to shut down. I told the host it was only 9:15 and he was being unfair. I then said "we will never be back again". He said "Good!" Next morning he told the family member organizers that we were done and not allowed to return. What a shame for the host to be very unreasonable, unprofessional and basically made this function difficult at his facility and for our family. Many other campers told us how wonderful it is to have such a big and loving family. They all told us to have a blast. We tried our best to make this a memorable celebration. although the scenery is beautiful, if you are going to play golf or interact with the staff , they are snarky and unfriendly, you can't have your own cooler and have to pay for drinks to get a club cooler, the lady wouldn't let me ride in a cart to be with my family because I didn't have clubs and said they only had 2 seaters, when they clearly had 4 seaters, only to be told they were in short supply but the whole carport of carts was full. if you want to pay for rules. come here. plenty of them. communist California. here's a reason to move out of California if you haven't. no warm welcome here. Great ATV friendly RV Park with an awesome 18 hole golf course. Full hook ups with pull thru and back in spots. Grounds are well maintained. There are 2 nice hiking / biking trails on the property, one goes all around the course. Great little restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch with patio seating that views the course and hills. The Likely RV park and golf course is a hidden gem! We brought a group of Veterans for a squirrel hunt and were generously hosted by Dennis and his staff. The setting is beautiful, the golf course is challenging and impeccably maintained, the staff is friendly and the food is wonderful. We were amazed to find such a great course hidden amongst the foothills and ranches. Just passing through and not golfers, we spent a couple of nights in the RV camp. Beautiful sunrise & sunsets, peace & quiet, with many places to walk our dog. He gave the place two dew claws up! I wish we had eaten at the club house, but we will next time! My husband wants to stay a little longer when we return and that is saying A+! We visited the nearby bird wildlife sanctuary and had a wonderful hike listening to the chorus of Canadian geese! read more

This is a hidden gem of a course about a 1/2 hour drive south of Alturas. It is a challenging 18 hole course that is set in a landscape of rock, sagebrush, and junipers. The fairways are a mixed bag - it can be difficult to get the grass growing in much of the hardpan soils of the area - beware of hidden rocks. The greens are outstanding and well kept. It is a long course that can be walked, but there is a great distance between many holes. If you go OB in the rocks, watch out for rattlesnakes!! What makes this place so great is that you can get on without a tee time and have the place to yourself on a weekday. The clubhouse food is outstanding, Many people like the option of staying in the RV park, they also have cabins to rent. read more

We've been wanting to stay here for quite a while to do some ATV riding, and just spur of the moment came through in the RV and decided to spend a night a little while ago. What a great spot in the middle of nowhere. Easy access off Hwy 395. Beautiful drive into the property. And absolutely neat, clean, and beautiful views everywhere in the RV park itself. The RV spaces are wide and level, and staggered so the views aren't blocked by the neighbors. Our only regret this visit was that the restaurant wasn't open. We will be back, and back for a much longer stay. read more

Stayed here & played golf many times...left great reviews then...not this time. Needed to cancel due to wildfire smoke & health issues but lady informed us, since we paid the full amount up front we cannot receive a refund. She stated that is the owner's rule...ownership might have changed because we have never been treated this poorly. She wouldn't even meet us halfway. Not as if they had to refuse anyone, i.e. wildfires. Lesson learned do not pay full amount up front. read more

Likely Place is a bit off the beaten path, but if a quiet, natural setting is what turns you on, this is the best place to be fully-hooked up in your RV. Long pull-thrus and 50-amp electric are not exactly roughing it, considering the remote beauty all around here. The night skies here are really, really dark, so the stargazing is incredible. If you're into golf, they have a nice 18-hole golf course and a driving range, all with stellar views of the Warner Mountains. The on-site restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch, and is available for catered dinners too. We loved the free Wi-Fi too. :) read more

We are brand new full time RV-ers and stumbled upon the Likely Gold and RV park....what a find! We don't play gold BUT we are traveling with two Labradors who need exercise to stay sane (and keep us sane as well :) ). There is a nature trail that goes around the perimeter of the gold course, it was beautiful! There is a pond right by the RV spots that our dogs enthusiastically tried out. There is a big grassy area (not gold course) where we could launch balls for the dogs to chase without fear of them getting into trouble. Quiet, peaceful, friendly, great food....no doubt we will be back. read more

We've stayed in their "Villa" a couple of times. This year there seemed to be a lot of unorganization with the staff in RV Park & check in. They use way too much air freshener in the rental. It makes you wonder what they are trying to cover up. It's clean, comfy, but a little high priced compared to what you get at other vacation rentals. But, it is right on the golf course. Our friends were staying in the RV park. Their reservations were messed up. Food at the restaurant is limited but very good. read more
