When it came time for my mom to move to an independent living community, Atria Senior Living was the only community that I toured for her. From the moment I walked through the door for my tour, it was clear that Atria was where she needed to be. I looked at other places online but none of them offered everything that Atria offered. I no longer worry about my mom's safety or well-being. From the time she gets up in the morning, the Atria staff is making sure that she is up and moving. She has three delicious meals every day. She goes to group exercise several times a week. There is music, movies, and many social events that she attends. And she has maid service once a week so she doesn't have to worry about her apartment upkeep. She is free to enjoy the fun stuff that is provided by Atria. The biggest change though in her life is that she has so many new friends. Moving to Atria is one of the best decisions we made as a family. No regrets.

Which leads me to the comfort pack(meds for pain and comfort). Vantage said it would arrive next day. Now Sunday Aug 16 at 9:42 pm, it might be here around midnight. The order was never submitted by Vantage to pharmacy until today (was supposed to happen Friday). Now we're are dealing with pain and discomfort waiting anxiously for some relief for our loved one. All we get are excuses. Doesn't include equipment we've been waiting two days for that is now supposed to arrive Monday. Can't do anything cause they are under hospice care. Just have to suffer until Vantage decides to get on the ball. Hope to update with better results, not holding my breath. Good luck hiring them

Never received in person visit from hospice chaplain...even when mom passed 3. Delivery of hospice meds to wrong address...hospice nurse was prepared to notify police and make a report, search my moms residence due to narcotic nature of missing meds. My sister and I, not Vantage nurse or personnel, did due diligence and discovered the meds had been delivered to another address to a person with similar name. 4. Poor bedside manner...except for person who performed hygienic duties. She was efficient and pleasant. 5. Person who picked up hospice equipment seemed angry. He apparently had been assigned after designated person did not show up. Overall not a pleasant experience given the circumstances.

I had a great apartment location after moving from the 4th floor (with two dogs) to the first floor. The staff were great, and Doug - the manager - as well, did everything they could do to make the residents comfortable and happy. I realized there were some limitations on what the staff were allowed to do for the residents, so I was fine with that. I've worked in the public for 58 years, as I also know, you will never please everyone. There were often times when things went wrong due to weather, equipment breakdowns, utilities, etc, but nothing ever due to the negligence of the staff or management. Life in business, and in general, is unpredictable, but when you have a corporate office to contend and wait on approval, you can't always get everything done expediently. The staff and management would ALWAYS be there to pitch in and help make things better for the residents. The only thing is, I had to move to another complex due to cost of things at Watercrest that I no longer needed - but, not because I wanted to or due to ANYTHING I didn't like there. I loved it there and wish the place and staff at the place I've moved to was as great as Watercrest. If you are a reasonable and fair person, you will love it there!

He is never professional in appearance or customer service and a big liar! They jack the prices of rent up but don't provide the services they claim are there! When you try to make a complaint to corporate, there is only one person there and she claims we need to send the complaint to her FIRST to review before submitting it! Which means it never gets reported, especially if it's negative! The turnover rate for employees is ridiculous! From the front desk to dining services says a lot about that place! It's sad, they charge so much for rent and take advantage of the seniors there, but never keep their word and it never adds up to services they state they provided! I would NEVER refer anyone here! Our experience has been a solid 10 with every aspect of the community, and we wouldn't necessarily qualify as easy to please. The grounds and buildings are immaculate, staff in all areas are friendly and accommodating, and the food in all dining venues is consistently restaurant quality with incredible variety. Residents are genuinely enjoying their retirement here and there is a relaxed, friendly culture. There is an impressive range of activities, classes, interest groups and entertainment. Having spent a 40-yr career in healthcare, I asked to tour the assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing units. All reflected high quality care in immaculately clean, homelike surroundings. As long term care goes, this is as good as it gets (as a former nursing home administrator and director of nursing service, I'm in a position to assess this accurately). We researched life plan communities for several yrs and are satisfied that we made the best choice, as more than 20k other Erickson residents have done across the US.

No appetizing meals as before the takeover, no chicken, salmon, beef, no real meat, not even McDonald-like chicken tenders. Sandwich comes with cheap deli meat, no tomato, no lettuce, mayo only. No nutritional food pyramid for seniors is evident. Guests are not allowed to eat in the dining room with their LO. Ex Dir stated she knew the food was bad, and not nutritional, but it was a supply chain issue. She offered no solutions. Hopefully change for the better will occur soon. Am supplementing healthy meals as well as HEB deliveries. No covid testing done on residents after they are quarantined. Very few guidelines via the State of Texas are enforced like those for a nursing home. New management brought in new staff. Sadly it is lacking a healthy actively engaging environment and cleanliness.
