Deeply disappointing and frankly unethical. This contractor submitted a backdated, grossly inflated invoice full of exaggerated charges after I moved out of a rental. Several of the listed "repairs" were for normal wear and tear or pre-existing issues. Even worse, my former landlord texted me saying the contractor told her I shouldn't get any of my deposit back. That's not just unprofessional, it's completely out of line. And mind you, this invoice didn't even include the actual issues I reported to the landlord while I lived there... things that genuinely needed repairs. Those were conveniently left out, while inflated and fictional charges were added to justify keeping my money. This invoice wasn't about documenting real work. It was a clear attempt to help a landlord pocket a tenant's deposit through false or misleading claims. Thankfully, I challenged it and recovered my full deposit, but the fact that this contractor participated in something so blatantly dishonest says everything. If this company is involved with your property, document everything and know your rights. I wouldn't trust them for a single estimate, let alone an honest one. read more

A great company. Doing business with them from start to finish was very easy. They are very professional, they answer ALL my questions by both text and verbal. The estimate process was great, they did everything via pictures and they did everything they told me they would do and then more. When the job was done they asked multiple times if I was happy with the job. They did little all of the touch-up paint I needed done plus all of the touch-up they found. The worst painters ever! I have screens with paint overspray, I have white paint overspray on an expensive ceiling fan. I had my door jams carved out to place hinges in our original 1947 home when the contract specifically states the doors would be removed, stripped and repainted. The person that comes out to give you a consultation for "several" painters works for Sunrise and he's the person that runs the social media part of the business too. Therefore, when this critique posts he will say my wife is extremely difficult, I'm an asshole and that we are both racists because the company is founded by an immigrant. These guys are bad business people, bad painters and overall just not to be trusted! How do I know this? Because they threatened to put a contractors lean on my house when I tried to discuss issues like carving out wedges in our closet doors and the huge mess they kept leaving. I have lots of pics that I would be glad to share with any one who is interested. We went with them because of the detailed work order and the star ratings. Don't buy into the crap. This was the response when we posted our original one star review: "9/22/2021 If Any of our clients have questions please give us a call directly. These are clients that want something for free and don't want to pay. We may have to put a mechanics lien on their house to get paid . We almost backed out of the job because the wife is extremely difficult to work with , she wants to dictate how your company operates from customer service to labor. She thinks she can find someone below the owner of the company to change the owners decisions . The husband was never involved in job besides letting the estimator in to take the pictures to start the estimation process . Which the wife complained because she wasn't their and wanted us to redo the whole estimate. We are not the first contractors or company to have issues with the Wife as everyday she was venting to us about other companies. These clients think because we have an accent they can try to degrade us. Client bought wrong hinges and want us to put them on they don't fit . To put hinges on its 200 they want to withhold 1700 . Absolutely  do not recommend any contractors working with these difficult clients ." These guys are a complete scam! We had a large remodel and were extremely pleased with our contractor, as well as the contractor that redid our entire backyard. Recent job painting most of our interior. They finished the job but it was painful. Some examples of issues: 1. First day they arrived at 10am then left to get the paint. 2. Never worked a full day from 8 or 9am to 5. Usually a 4-6 hr day. Sometimes did not show until 11am. Very loose schedule. 3. Didn't tape off hardly anything. Just close by hand which left thin spots requiring second coats and touch ups. Not efficient. 4. Several times said a room was done but when we inspected we found tons to fix. 5. Overpainted a wall from the ceiling that was not supposed to be painted. They had to match the color and paint the entire room. 6. Used flat white ceiling paint on white eggshell walls which I had to fix. 7. Numerous touch ups required by me after they left on thin spots that did not cover well. 8. 5 day estimate took 7 days and still left me with several hours of touch up. 9. Had to hire a subcontractor crew in order to make up lost time. 10. Did not fill nail holes and paint over them. Just left them open many times. I probably missed a thing or two but that's enough. I asked if they could paint my stained front door. They wanted $700 to do it. I passed. I would not hire Sunrise again. read more

John and all the family where great. A bunch of normal guys. I was told it takes a week and I was quoted a price, to my surprise that was it. They came pressure washed the house painted and then I walked around looking for missed spots. They paint the doors and everything is included in the quoted price. Nice , easy to work with and questions answered asap. I gave 4 stars because I was not happy at first with there two coats of paint I thought it needed one more coat in some places. Great team ... Couldn't have asked for a more efficient company to complete my exterior

Project took twice as long to complete. Although it was a small space I had to repeat my requests at every check in. I put post notes on certain areas I wanted a certain color but they removed and painted incorrectly color anyway. After spraying texture I had to ask them to wipe down all the excess that was everywhere. Asked them to clean the front and back entrances when job was done. They said they would bring a hose to do and never did. They used wall paint to paint metal railing and it started peeling off before anyone even touched it. Jon said he would come fix and never did. One wall in bathroom had nail holes painted over in new paint but rest of wall was left with original paint. They said doing a smooth finish on ceiling after popcorn removal was done would cost less but some areas were extremely patchy so I had to have textured to conceal sloppy job. Price went over estimate and lead Jon still asked me for a bonus. read more
