So, this summer, I signed her up for private softball lessons at D-BAT with Coach Jayme, and I honestly couldn't be happier with that decision. After just one lesson, my daughter's confidence skyrocketed. She was tracking the ball better, rotating her glove correctly, and finally beginning to understand the fundamentals of catching. In one session with Coach Jayme, she learned more than she had during an entire season of Little League. The biggest change, however, wasn't mechanical. It was her confidence. She enjoyed that first lesson so much that she begged me to sign her up for the week-long softball day camp. As the week went on, I watched her excitement for the game continue to grow. She wasn't just getting better--she was falling in love with softball. As for D-BAT itself, the facility has been excellent. The pro shop is well stocked with softball and baseball equipment, sunglasses, snacks, drinks, and even baseball cards. There are plenty of batting cages available for rentals, lessons, and camps, and everything has felt organized and welcoming every time we've visited. There are also bleachers and sitting areas for parents to watch. We're still new to the softball world, so I don't have years of experience comparing facilities. What I do know is this: My daughter asked where she could get better. We brought her to D-BAT. She left believing she could. As a parent, that's about the highest compliment I can give. We'll definitely be back.

I am about the same distance between this dbats and the one in Peoria and prefer this location as they are more consistent. I will continue to come back. I highly recommend a membership if you plan on going atleast once a week, it easily pays for itself.

This may be helpful if your child doesn't have time to draw but for any blossoming artist who spends hours of their own time sitting and drawing there isn't any value to this time at Kat's verses being at home. I'm not sure the "teacher" has any sort of special training; actually i don't think I ever even saw the teacher or had any feedback from him/her(?) in the 4 months we attended. During this time I saw no change in skill or ability from this class. He didn't particularly enjoy it either. It seemed that the front desk assistant frequently taught the class which started late and ended early regularly. My son benefited from the Young Rembrandt's program at his school more than this program and YR, for the most part, just taught him how to shade. So the bar wasn't set extremely high. This school also requires a registration fee ($60) to even try any of the classes and also requires a credit card on file which they cannot update except in person. There isn't any online account management.. They don't allow for over the phone changes and their withdrawal policy is also very strict so we ended up paying for a month we didn't want. They also sent my credit card information entire number, expiration date, ccv code, address and full name (!) in clear text VIA EMAIL unencrypted which is very very horrendous security policy for a company who requires this information be provided. They are not obviously not PCI compliant so I'd be wary of providing them this information. They aren't particularly nice or friendly either. We won't be back.

It's been about 3 years since my Girl Scout troop came to this ranch (see my previous review). Since then my kiddo and I have taken classes at the ranch and we both became volunteers at the ranch. We come to this ranch about as often as we can. The owners make it a point to make everyone feel like family! This IS our family now!!! Aside from the joys of the ranch, my kiddo has advanced riding skills so much that my kiddo has participated in the Black Rodeo, Competitive Horsemanship and Riding and trail rides. Like my kiddo, experienced students at the ranch can participate in parades, shows, and more as volunteers representing the ranch too! If you'd like the same opportunities, you just need to saddle up and start your horsemanship journey, or expand it, at the RR! And, For the person who wrote that they called and no one answered... keep in mind, this ranch runs off of its volunteers. There is a limited paid staff and a small army of volunteers who support RR. This ranch serves as a large animal rescue. This ranch is a place of escape for victims of a variety of situations and this ranch services folks with a variety of physical, emotional and mental needs---- on top of the herd of horses, goats, pigs and dogs that live there. THERE WILL BE MOMENTS WHERE ACTIVITIES ON THE RANCH TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER ANSWERING THE PHONE. Please, be gentle and understanding. Call back, leave a message and give grace. My eleven year old daughter has had a magnificent experience with EVCT. Over the past year, or so,…read moreshe has attended Audition Workshops, been cast in Main Stage productions and a Junior Main Stage production, taken camps and Master classes, been in troupes, and attended classes. Staff are very competent, highly enthusiastic about all aspects of theatre arts (writing, acting, dancing, stage management, directing, make up, costume design, music, choreography, set design, tech etc etc), nurturing, and there is very strong overall sense of community. My daughter has undoubtedly grown in various ways - willingness to try new experiences, confidence acting on stage in front of ~200 people at the fantastic Mesa Arts Center theatre, made good new friends, carefully managed her time, flexed her memory skills, dealt with the setback of not being cast, been a responsible and positive cast member, improved her acting, dancing, and singing skill. Thank you to all at EVCT for cultivating such a safe, welcoming, and encouraging space for children who want to try theatre! There seems to be something for every young aspiring actor at EVCT.
