I was a former employee and client of Equestrian Resolutions. I purchased one of my horses here after falling in love with him while I was working there. He is absolutely amazing and I never felt that Nora or Bob were anything but totally honest about him. Unfortunately life and a hour and half car ride took its toll and got in the way of me continuing to work with them. I have been riding for 20+ years and I can not express to you the wealth of knowledge I have gained from working there through spring and summer nor can I tell you how invaluable my, hopefully ;o), life long friendship with them is. It is so unfortunate that people behave this immaturely with the cover of a keyboard when they have one bad experience somewhere. I can only theorize that this is simply because they do not want to keep up with this level of expertise. I urge you not to judge by someone else's review and to try this facility out to see for yourself the lifetime of knowledge Nora and Bob have to share. I was willing to drive an hour and half numerous times a week, and was thrilled that I could offset my cost through riding horses, just to gain the knowledge and experience that these two will give you. Gas and car maintenance are expensive but working here has taught me lessons I will keep for a lifetime and you can not put a price on that. If you are serious about learning to ride, training horses, or need help with the unmanageable horse that every farm has then this is the place for you to be. You will be amongst people who have spent their entire lives learning about horses and training them. Ones knowledge of horses will never stop growing and these two are leaps ahead of the rest. As far as the accusations against quality of hay and grain...these are absolutely just blatant lies. Nora and Bob have the best quality hay (very soft and green) and grain I have ever seen and they are very generous with it as well. The quality is always consistent. This is coming from someone who has worked on numerous farms, the horse owners may not know how good they have it but I am sure the horses do. The horses always had a healthy body weight and the stalls were always immaculate. The accusations about the stalls not being cleaned baffle me. I have personally witnessed the routine on many occasions. Water buckets are cleaned regularly as well, which is something I have found not to be common amongst other farms. They pay great attention to detail in horse care and training. Their barn and property is also set up with safety in mind. I think this is very important as I have worked in places with unsafe conditions that can get a horse or person hurt. You can tell that a lot of thought went into how to best build place for functionality and safety. Just off the top of my head, the gates swing easily and wide and shut to an "automatic" latch, the barn isle is clear and wide, the ceilings are high, cross ties are set up with ample room in between, rubber mats are used in slippery places, the stalls are very spacious, all doors slide closed with ease, there are feeder doors on the stalls, and the entire property is fenced in so a loose horse will never end up on the road. Every detail has been thought through to ensure that everyone remains as safe as possible in such an unpredictable sport while working with such big animals. read more

So comical that when things don't go someone's way they run to social media to complain. People need to get more educated before opening there mouths. Obviously we are dealing with living creatures and anything can happen. I bought a cat once that died 2 weeks later, should I dig him up and bring him back to where I got him from? He also scratched maybe I should get a refund for that? Bob and Nora are honest, caring and very knowledgeable in their field of expertise which is horses. When you purchase a horse and it's fine all checks out and you try that horse a few times, no one can predict what happens after it leaves the property even if people do not mean to intentionally ruin a horse it happens so often. I purchased my horse from Nora in September, a few weeks later we noticed huge changes in him. Nothing like I bought in September, he was fresh, bucking, biting and plain miserable. Circumstances brought me to change barns and I decided after much research to go to Nora & Bob's place. Thank god I did my daughters are learning how to ride better and why he was acting up and we are close to having him back exactly like before I'm so glad all it took was someone's knowledge and great training to get him back. In the first 3 1/2 years I owned my mare she went through several layups at her previous barn due to health issues and an injury. With all that time off she developed some very serious behavioral issues. I moved her to Equestrian Resolutions to put her in training. After the first two weeks she was much safer to handle and a happier horse. Bob and Nora worked very patiently with her, and me to quickly get the most urgent issues sorted out. My mare will always be a bit of a handful, she's a strong willed and bright horse. Bob and Nora never claimed they could correct her 100% and as a realist I didn't expect a 100% change, they continue to help me learn how to deal with the remaining issues. They have been open and honest throughout the entire retraining process. In addition to dealing with the behavioral problems they have worked with me to develop a diet and exercise program to manage her medical issues. I wish I had found them sooner read more

After looking at tons of different barns, this place is by far the best, most well kept and friendliest barn I have been to! I came here to find my first horse in December of 2014 and Bob and Nora were a huge help in letting me try different horses until I found the one I connected with from the moment I saw him! I've now been boarding there ever since and definitely plan on staying! They help me with any question I have and I am always learning new things on horsemanship from them each time I go. I am so lucky to have their guidance as a first time horse owner and grateful for finding a place that teaches me new things each time I go and where the horses come first! Most importantly, you're able to have fun in riding and always have a great experience with everyone here, which is something I haven't experienced in any other barn. The facility is one of the best for your horse. Being in the horse world, it is one horse farm I recommend to friends looking to board their horse in the Howell Twp. area. Boarders are from different disciplines and ages, and all are friendly to each other. The owners offer trailering to those wishing to attend horse shows, trail riding events, and more. Riding lessons are available. The barn is clean, updated, and safety rules are always a priority. The paddocks & fields are designed to accommodate all of the horses. Finally found my forever home for me and my Layla. Both me and my horse are very happy at Equestrian Resolutions after 9 years of looking! Bob and Nora two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I have boarded my horse here for over 1.5 years. The barn is always clean, the farm is quiet, the fields are excellently maintained, and the boarders are very friendly. Nora always keeps an eye on my mare and I am notified if any problem occurs. She and Bob work closely with any new farm help in order to provide the highest level of care to the horses here. Bob is also very helpful, leaning a kind word or helping hand regardless of what is needed. I would highly recommend this farm to anyone! read more

I have to disagree with Jackie, and i know personally the horse she was sold and had even tried him myself for a few clients. Nora and Bob have an amazing understanding of the relationship and bond between a horse and rider. They work extremely hard to help all of their clients find their equine match. I have been taking my Granddaughter to Equestrian Resolutions for over a year and this is one great barn...She loves Nora and Bob, she considers them to be family. They have taught her so much in riding, taking care of horses and just to be a good kid. I can't say enough positive things about Equestrian Resolutions.
