My daughter had the time of her life at a week long riding camp.. it was so informative and she learned about caring for and riding the horses , I loved hearing about everything she did every day:. I highly recommend Baymar Farms. I just had both my daughter's birthday party there yesterday. 9 and 7 years old. Although it was raining.... that didnt stop the party. The party room and indoor arena was amazing! They have the most beautiful grounds as well for an outdoor party and most importantly for horse back riding lessons as well which we do!! My girls truly love it there. Beautiful horses of course. Also cant forget the amazing staff :) thankful we found a place like Baymar! read more

What a lovely place - Beautiful property, beautiful horses and very friendly staff. It was very easy to get here in Central NJ.

My husband loved his lessons here. I own horses and ride but my husband isn't a horse guy, so I got him a Groupon for a set of three lessons as a present. He wanted to continue after the three because he liked it so much (but we ended up moving too far away at that point for him to continue). They put him on the old deadhead school master for his first two lessons and then moved him up a notch to a slightly more responsive old school master. I liked that they were moving him up instead of letting him stay at the same comfort level, even though he had just started. The instructor also didn't let my husband be sloppy with his equitation which I liked as well (I hate when so many men do the hunched spine, feet forward posture when riding, who teaches them to ride like that?!). The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the owner tried to not take my valid Groupon when I first called and tried to get me to buy their more expensive lesson plan instead. But eventually she took the Groupon and it worked out great. read more

Baymar Farms is a lesson stable on Harbor Road in Morganville right off of Route 9. I hadn't ridden in a number of years and was looking to get my legs back before I delved further into the horse world and Baymar Farms was a great place to do it. When I called the, the owner Ellie answered the phone quickly and enthusiastically, referring me to her instructor Lu Ann. At my first lesson they matched my ability perfectly. Lu Ann was terrific - patient, knowledegable, and encouraging - just the right touch with me. She was great with her more advanced riders as well. At each lesson I was given a different horse and all were responsive and well trained. I was able to get a feel for how different each horse was to be ridden. These patient, safe lesson horses are great for those just starting out or just restarting out like myself, lol. I bought a lesson card and the pricing was fair. Overall- good pricing, Good horses and well kept stables. Recommend! read more

Baymar Farms is top notch from start to finish!! Ellie, the owner, is super responsive, the property is gorgeous and their summer riding program was beautifully executed. They took every precaution to keep the kids as safe as possible in the midst of COVID-19 while allowing them to learn and have fun too. My daughter shows at Baymar Farms and I have to say that they do a great job for their shows. The staff are always available for questions and concerns and address any issues when they arise. The show rings are beautiful and kept in pristine condition. The managers do a great job at listening to ideas and suggestions to make the show experience better for everyone. I boarded my horse here for a year and a half and he was so well taken care of. I'm a college student so I could not make it to the barn that often but I still never had to worry about his care! I would highly recommend boarding here. read more

I have been at Baymar for almost 20 years. I started out taking lessons, and eventually bought my favorite school horse, and have boarded him there since 2001. Jim and Ellie have worked harder year after year to continue to improve the facilities as well as the quality of instruction in the lesson program, and care for the boarders. They consistently look for ways to make the farm a more welcoming and enjoyable place for the riders, parents, and horses. The riding rings are always immaculate, the fields are well cared for and green, and the stalls are cleaned with care. The barn staff is friendly and genuinely cares for the horses here, everyone from the awesome guys that do the day to day stall cleaning and feeding, to the instructors, and to the owners, Jim and Ellie. My horse injured himself last year, requiring some pretty high maintenance care, including hand walking during the day and eventually individual turnout. They were able to get the summer camp kids involved with taking him down to the wash rack and hosing him on hot days since he was stuck on stall rest, helping him get just the right amount of stretching his legs, and getting some one on one attention that he loved. And just a couple weeks ago he colicked pretty badly. Ellie was the one that noticed he wasn't acting right when she checked on them in the morning. She left a message with me, and then immediately called my vet and got him on the way over before I even saw her message less than five minutes later. She worked with us intensely all through that day, and in the week following to give him a special diet of soaked food, and monitored his condition super closely, checking on him around the clock. Jim has also gone out of his way to help us, all the way back from when we first bought him and didn't know what to do when he had any tiny little bump or scrape, through trailer training him, and even with this last colic episode, helping us with offering up his trailer when ours was not in usable condition, on a day he was already breaking his back working on improving the water lines. All in all, I've been here for almost 20 years for a reason. The people here care deeply about the horses and go above and beyond time and time again, and that's what counts with me. read more
