It was so unique sitting at a floating bar with our adult beverages & snacks as we slowly cruised in and out of different parts of the bay. Weather was perfect. Captain Larry is Da Man! We stopped by this cafe for breakfast after church on Sunday, and it did not disappoint. First thing you should know - the cafe is located upstairs from the bait and tackle shop. On the first level, there is a little counter with about four seats that you can use to eat (as well as picnic tables outside), but upstairs they have a little seating area with spectacular views of the bay. There are only about nine tables, so the place is not very big. We waited a few minutes for a table to be cleared off, which we didn't mind. They serve breakfast all day and the menu is quite solid, especially for being a little roadside eatery that's attached to a dock. It was also pleasantly surprising to see that they had specials for the day, too! The food was hot, tasty, and reasonably priced. All of the staff were super friendly, too! They had everything we needed for crabbing with hand lines: a spacious and sturdy wooden boat with plenty of handles and tie-offs, a great size canopy for myself and our kids, a fair rental price for the day, helpful and pleasant staff who showed much appreciated initiative, and we even spoke to Bill for a while about the best spots to crab that day. He provided an easy-to-read map with notes on sand bars and other areas to avoid and general helpful boating instruction. We brought our own supplies, but they were at the ready to supply anything we needed or forgot. I will definitely go back to Bill's for future trips! Top notch service! All you NJ Sea Hunt owners, beware!!! NJ Outboards is the…read moreworst. They had my boat for warranty issues, had no choice to bring it to them or haul it to LI or MD. The weekend prior to them picking it up, the motor went. Yes, a 2024 Yamaha f200 with 60 hrs on it went. It was filled with water. Anyway long story short, they had my boat for over a month, didn't take care of the issues that they were initially there for. And the motor took well over the 8hrs Craig Estelle, the service manager claimed it would take. it actually took over 10 days. When I get the boat back, it's all messed up. They destroyed 5 panels of sea deck, didn't do repairs, and my motor trim isn't working properly, or the gauge. To top it off Paul Gioe, the owner, blocks my emails. I sent all the managers an email demanding the repairs to be made. And Paul calls me and tells me " We are not working on your boat. You are no longer allowed to bring your boat here. We are not dealing with a Philadelphia wise guy." He also claimed the boat looked like that when they got it. And he has pictures. But he would not send me them. "I don't need to prove you anything." This is how they react when they mistreat customers property, and the customer wants it made right. Such a circus act over there. Just be careful. Yes this is my second review on the place, but I didn't take my own advice and go to Long Island or MD.
