I have always felt safe while walking around the neighborhood as well and I have never had any problems with safety while living here.The building itself is very nice, very clean, and has a laundry room and a gym. More importantly, the Goldfarb management team has been so professional, helpful and are actually friendly (the people I have had the chance to interact with are Trevor, Anwar and Jason and they have all been so helpful and professional). They really care about my comfort and respond quickly to anything that needs repairs. This place really is a great find.

What impresses me the most about living in this building is how clean and orderly the facilities are. Our live-in superintendent, Victor, does an excellent job with the upkeep, and the laundry room in the basement enjoys a compliment of relatively new and industrious machines: 4 *huge* dryers, and 5 washers -- including one double loader. That's more than enough to accommodate a 7-story tenement, believe it or not. I rarely need to wait for machines. The block the building is on is also quiet and working class. In all my time living here I've yet to witness a disorderly incident outdoors or within its confines. It's probably because of the heavy police presence from the nearby courts, sure; but I've lived in the Bronx all my life and this is the safest neighborhood I've ever seen. But perhaps the best thing about living here is the courteous and speedy response of the maintenance department. Residents have easy access to help in the form of a quick phone call, or a filled out online form dropped into the inbox of the management agency's website. I've never lived anywhere else where help is this convenient. I once filled out a repair request and, literally, within 30 mins of hitting 'send' our building's super came to my door ready to repair the problem. That's insane! I don't know who I bribed in a prior life or by how much, but my luck really paid off the day I moved into Sheridan Plaza.

The building looks newly renovated, clean and floors look shiny. My elderly mother was sent there and she was very nervous staying there the first night. I was trying to leave but was hesitating bec I felt bad leaving her alone and nervous. One of the nurses sat with her and told her that she was going to stay with, not to worry. She told me to leave and not worry bec she wasn't going to leave her. I was right away at ease and grateful. Actually, all the nurses were caring and attentive. I feel proud to have such a wonderful facility in our neighborhood!

We told them about it in April. We've called, emailed, visited in person and they refuse to do anything about it. Heat has been shut off time and time again. Horrible management, they are in the middle of a lawsuit. The tenants have had enough. Maintenance is super nice, but of course they only hire our people to do the work they don't want to deal with. The management company will change its name over and over so the issues they have don't follow i guess. If you have an issue with you apartment, takes 2-3 months for it to be fixed. IF they even send someone to fix it. Once the guys come it they definitely get the job done. Until to threaten to stop paying rent, as stated in your lease that they should "manage" then they hurry to get the job done. Had to call my own exterminator to do what i needed as well as fix the gap between the bottom of the door. Just tacky ! Expect mice, bugs, bed bugs, no heat, no hot water. It's just very bad. These landlords are just painting over years of damage an issue and trying to sell at high prices. After living in the space you will see the floor is cracking and the ceiling leaks. The stove set off the fire alarm and smelt heavy of gas for the first 2 month. We really could use and call over and over to have someone come check it out. Our apartment is one of the "nice" ones though compared to the issues others have told. You should try to stop by before renting for a tenants meeting. All the tea is spilt at this fun event. Random people form the area come to the court yard to fight, smoke, drink, and do other thing annoying ace people who don't got it together do.
