At booking she assigned me a room number and a door code. We didn't arrive until late, about 10pm. So we let ourselves in and got settled. We were happy to find a very clean room with all the amenities you could want. A varied assortment of teas and coffee. A comfortable bed. A tv equipped with Roku for all of your streaming needs. WiFi access. A hot shower (after you gave it a few minutes to warm up). All of the fluffy towels you would need (1 floor mat, 4 bath, 4-5 hand towels, 4-5 wash cloths). Also had divine smelling amenities (2 shampoo, 2 conditioner, 2 body wash, 1 hand soap bar, and 1 skincare bar). It was a super cozy room, and I would happily stay/ vacation here again. I can't recommend these accommodations enough. We paid $142.84 and it was well worth it.

Affordable and well-run, even on a low-occupancy Monday. They even provided free firewood at the tent site. Be sure to check out their cabins. They look really cute and comfy. Only downside, tenting, is that due to Hwy 6 construction, lots of detour traffic goes right by Red Rider. Kinda noisy, but didn't disturb my sleep after 7 hours pounding the Cuyuna Bike Trails!

The weather got chilly quickly, so I didn't have the opportunity to try the rest of the amenities. The pool is currently closed for construction. (There is a nice pool at the YMCA in Grand Rapids which we used one day for a $10 day pass). We stayed in a two bedroom lakefront cabin which was nice, but fairly rustic, and one of the bedrooms had absolutely no storage, (no closet, shelves or dresser). Next time, I think we would stay in the lodge rooms, which are a bit more upscale, with fireplaces, full kitchens, Jacuzzi tub and nicer furnishings. They have a restaurant/bar on site with a an outdoor patio and nice view of the lake, which is convenient. They also have free coffee and muffins in the morning at the front desk and at Otis's.The staff and management were incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend, and look forward to coming here again, hopefully when the weather is a little warmer!

Lakeside cabins are traditional cabins filled with up north charm. The lake shore has a great beach for kids and a large dock for adults to sit and talk, enjoy the sun and be able to keep an eye on the kiddos. Boat rental is available or bring your own boat. The Rave and swim raft are great additions to swim out to and get away from others on the main dock. Paddle boats, paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe are also available to resort guests. On appearance it is a very cute little motel. We checked in with another couple around 3PM. We were given room #108, which had new carpet. You could tell the beds were older and the rest of the room could use an update. We left for the party around 4:30 PM, got back to the Ripple River Motel about 9:15 PM. Crawled into bed about 9:30 PM and made a phone call to our daughter. With the light from my cell phone I happened to catch a bug crawling on my pillow case. When I smashed the bug it was full of blood. It was big enough to see. When we jumped out of the bed and turned the lights on the bed had at least 50 bugs we could see. I took pictures and called the front desk to let them know the bed was infested. We also told her we would be checking out, as would the other couple (3 1/2 Hour drive back home). The front desk manager refunded our money immediately. She also apologized up and down. She told us to come back in a month and the room would be perfect. We have thrown away our luggage & clothes. BEWARE!!
