I love Trinay Hogan, but the receptionist there just does not care. They are extremely unfriendly and rude. Never greets with a smile. Just making an appointment seems impossible. I made an appointment and waited over an hour and nure said your next and 20 minutes later I will still waiting when I asked no one had any idea. The staff are not caring about patients' needs. The only quality of care is Trinay herself. Seeing her seems difficult because you have to bypass her receptionist, and they leave a bad taste in your mouth. They absolutely need to work on people skills. It drives people away just from their attitudes. Unfortunate Trinay has to be in a facility where no customer service training was conducted for receptionist. Trinay is by far the most amazing NP I have seen. Let's hope my next appointment is better. Been holding off because of such poor service. read more

Just switched to Anthem medicare supplement. Was assigned a nurse practitioner by the insurance co. I called and immediately got a phone message stating if I left a phone number someone would get back with me within 24 hours. Left a message . . . no response. Called again and left a message . . . still no response. I called Sunset clinic directly and requested an opportunity to schedule an appointment to see my physician's assistant. Was informed that I could not schedule until Feb. 1 when my policy becomes active. According to Anthem, they should have been able to schedule me with my member number in hand. I kept calling until i finally got through, I explained i did not receive a call the day before, thats when the staff kept me on hold for 20 mins but ended up hanging up on me. When i called back to tell them what had just happened, they didn't even acknowledge it. They place me on hold for another 5 mins, comes back on the phone and says i missed their multiple attempts to call me, bullsh*t. they never actually called and i have the call logs to prove. Went in for blood work. Mind you, this is my first time getting it done and I'm coming in as a new patient. They drew around 5 vials of blood from me and no one shared any post care instructions. Not even the doctor. So, because I thought I was good to go once the doctor tells me "so ya, we will chat later about your results and just go ahead and schedule that Pap smear with me and you're good to go", I decided to leave. Was feeling slightly dizzy and lightheaded, but thought it would go away. Nope, stuck with me all day. Decided to go to the gym bc no one gave me instructions on having to refrain from going or drinking lots of water, juice, eating after or anything. Bad idea, I guess going to the gym isn't part of what you should do after getting that much blood taken from you? How the hell am i supposed to know. This is new to me and this is your profession, people! Don't really think they're formally trained or maybe just out of school? Don't recommend wasting your time coming here bc you'll leave feeling like you just got out of a chop shop. I literally am writing this thinking, how are you in the medical field, treating patients, and can't even do the bare minimum? Trinay Hogan was nice, but the lack of training and experience in this office is horrible. This is not like working at Taco Bell where if u forget someone's sauce it's no biggie. They wrote a referral for my mother in law's knee, we went to Desert Radiology but they could not schedule the procedure, called 3 times left 3 messages, went to the office to request and the medical assistant was defensive and rude, asked the doctor and he was also rude. The service from the doctors and assistants is fine. The wait time is usually not too long. Masks are required, but the receptionists only wear them if patients are paying attention. The older receptionist isn't courteous. I didn't have a mask and she was reluctant to give me one. She kind of has an attitude. This opinion is based on several visits and phone calls. I've been coming to this location for along time now, it's quick , easy , and they have always taken great care of me. I've seen all the doctors at this location and you can't go wrong with any of them! Especially Trinay Hogan, she's so sweet and has the most bubbly personality. She has a big heart and really shows she cares for her patients. I think the hardest thing to find in a doctor from my personal experience , is someone who actually listen to what you are saying and not disregarding everything you say and that's exactly what she does, she listens and actually helps you! read more

My husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. He has Mr. Morris a PA as his physician. He is WONDERFUL and GREAT!! Very caring and accommodating. I deal with Patricia a member of the staff at this Sunset Road location. She is AWESOME!! She makes sure Mr. Morris is on top of stuff with regard to my husband and ALWAYS will to help. She keeps in touch with me via email to see how my husband is doing. I can't say enough about the caring and truly wonderful staff there is and the most wonderful 2 people I know that my husband and I have there at Sunset Clinic. The only reason I'm not giving this clinic one star is because of the person who saw me, Dr. Le Ha. I think she's actually a PA, but I call her doctor. Starting this off on a positive note, I really love Dr. Le Ha. She's super super nice and is very willing to listen to everything I have to say. Not only that, but she was willing to spend time and give me advice as a premed student. That means the world to me. She actually cares about her patients and gives out great advice to those willing to listen. As soon as she walks in I'm greeted with a true smile and we hold out an actual conversation. It's been a while since I found a doctor I actually liked, so I'm so glad my mom recommended her to me! She can also speak Vietnamese, which is great for my parents since Vietnamese is their first language. If you're more comfortable speaking Vietnamese, she's very good at explaining in Viet. Now the reason for the bad review is from my last visit. I had to wait AN HOUR AND A HALF for JUST a blood test. Like really? I didn't even need to see the doctor. I had already gotten a checkup the previous week and only needed to get my blood drawn by a nurse to send it in for testing. I was told by the front desk that it would only be a 20-30 minute wait. Okay, I get it. But over an hour? That's unacceptable. I had to actually go up to the front desk and complain about it. They told me the wait was because they had "special patients" that needed more attention. However, I made an appointment and I have other things to do. I would understand if I was a walk-in, but I was not. I had classes later on that day too, and it wasn't until I mentioned that I had to go to class where they finally took me in to get my blood drawn. I hope they can figure that out, because I really love Dr Le Ha and the only reason I'll come back is for her. tldr; LOCATION: This place is located near ikea and right by the McDonalds. The sign that says sunset clinic isn't very clear. You'll see it after you park in the Durango medical plaza. STAFF: meh. The front desk people weren't rude, but they were not super welcoming either. Dr. Le Ha is amazing and is the only reason I go here. Her Vietnamese is good! WAIT TIME: terrible. prepare to wait for over an hour for a simple checkup even if you have an appointment. Well I gave this place a chance and what do you know they screwed me out of $25, because my follow up (for blood work) to my original visit for my "wellness exam" which is covered under my insurance. They coded it so I would have to get charged. So when I called she said yes it's a follow up to the first but it's a diff visit so you have to get charged. I'm struggling with how to convey my feelings about Sunset Clinic. I used them last year for an annual physical that is required by my group health plan. The staff was friendly, service was fast and efficient, but I'm frustrated that I'm being billed $115 for an unnecessary follow-up visit to review my blood work and labs. I have a high-deductible plan with UHC that covers preventative work for 0 out-of-pocket. So, the initial visit for a physical and lab work was covered at no charge to me. Sunset Clinic called me a week or two after the first visit and wanted me to come back in to meet with the doctor and review the labs. I was not told this would be a separate charge from the physical and so I assumed (which I should not have done) that this visit was still part of the physical exam. The review of the labs took all of 5 minutes, wherein the doctor told me the results were normal and everything looked fine. That could have been done over the phone and, in my opinion, this follow-up visit was nothing more than a way to bill me for an additional office visit. So, be careful when using Sunset Clinic and ask them up front what the charges will be for each office with your plan. read more

I have now been to this doctors office 4 times since I've lived in Las Vegas. I have seen 4 different doctors (which is fine, but interesting.) All the doctors are nice enough, but I have always had to wait in the exam room for at least an hour waiting for the doctor. I have worked in a busy surgical office, so I understand waiting, but to wait that long every time is ridiculous. On top of that, I don't WANT to come in, I'm forced to come in every six months to refill a prescription I've taken for ten years.
