Stay away from this place. The heath care providers have misdiagnosed me twice and sent me to see specialist that were not needed.

Dr Wu was very helpful and knowledgeable yet personable. Dr Patel is definitely charismatic, personable and helpful. The nursing staff were genuinely caring especially Yessica, Haylee, Sherilyn. Sherilyn took care of me with zero signs of annoyance every time while rapidly assisting me and genuine cared for my well being as a person. When I vomited, she was patient and genuinely caring. She rapidly yet constantly provided me with food when I asked for food after no solid food for approx 24h. Haylee stood out by how much she cares for her patients in making sure I was fed which is a big deal because I hadn't had a meal in over 24 hours. Though a nurse in training, Southern Hills would be unwise to not hire Haylee as a nurse when the opportunity arises. Yessica, just wow. The nurse that everyone would want. She acted like a patient advocate and helped in make sure surgery heard my concerns. While helping me she seemed genuinely concerned. So Yessica I would say: efficient, patient, professional and a true patient advocate (aka nurse). Southern Hill is very fortunate to have her. Would I return as a patient in need. Yes.

Too many fingers in the pie and too many people telling you what to do with your health care with completely different directions . It has been 14 days since my appointment, and I still have not received the information I was supposed to get about my medication. The staff was supposed to send it, but never did. I even called to follow up, and still nothing has been provided. What makes this even more frustrating is that this office does not work with any insurance, so you are required to pay a very high fee upfront. For the amount being charged, I expected much better communication and follow-through. This lack of organization and responsiveness is unacceptable, especially when it comes to important health matters. A good doctor alone is not enough when the office staff fails to support patients properly. I hope they improve their processes, because patients should not have to chase down essential information after paying so much out of pocket.

Scheduling was a breeze and I got a timeslot for the week immediately after my doctor referral. Their automated reminders and online patient portal helped in collecting all the required details prior to my appointment. The office was very clean and organized. Check-in for my appointment was quick and I only had to wait 5-10 minutes before I was called. Dr. Ansley and Jennifer were both very friendly, helpful and empathetic throughout the appointment which I really appreciated. They made sure I was comfortable and they addressed all my questions around the Pap Smear and the screening test. Highly recommend WHASN based on my experience!

Four months ago I had to call to remind them to refill my birth control prescription, there, I scheduled my annual checkup with my main provider (she's the one who has seeing me ALWAYS SINCE DAY ONE), I scheduled in advance to be able to be seen by her. A month ago, I had to called them again to ask them AGAIN to refill my prescription for the last month before my checkup, they messed up and didn't authorize the prescription refill until a week later, of course I missed a whole week of treatment. When I get to my appointment I find out that there is a male doctor performing my annual checkup, I wasn't feeling comfortable and when I asked my options they told me I could pay for my visit (they barely had taken my vitals at this point) and scheduled another visit with Tiffany and making sure I specified Tiffany (when I did FOUR MONTHS IN ADVANCE), or stay and be seen by the doctor. So, since I'm a student, I cannot afford two visits in a row, I decided to stay. My main issue wasn't him being a man, my fear was not being listen to since he is not my main provider, I wanted to see PA Tiffany Hendrix, she's wonderful, she's being my main provider for over two years, and she is so kind and patient with my questions always. I felt dr Arthur on a very defensive mode, I didn't feel listen by him and for most it felt like he didn't want to answer my questions but more like I was wasting his time. One of my concerns was switching my bc pill, he basically suggested one and without explaining anything related to this new -to me- pill, he left the room. I came to find out that this pill is way out of my budget which I told them several times that I'm under a type of budget since I'm a student. Now once again I'm missing my treatment (I take birth control because I have PMOS) and no one is answering the phone or my messages. To put the cherry on top, they rejected my insurance for first time ever in years, charge me more than I was expecting to pay, and now I received a notification that I still owe them THE SAME AMOUNT I already paid, so I called to billing and SURPRISE! No one picked up the phone. I can tell Dr. Arthur Herpolsheimer is good, even the best on what he does, I wanna believe it was all a huge miscommunication or misunderstanding, but I definitely didn't feel fully listen to during the appointment, and I honestly wanted to see my main provider due to all my concerns and questions. I don't know what happened or why all this mess up over mess up is happening now, but I'm very disappointed and frustrated with this place.

I went to see Mary Nara at P-3 Medical Group for TMJ treatment. In the state of Nevada, TMJ is an…read moreinsurable medical condition. I told her that in my previous doctor's records, she would find the signed Medical Necessity Script needed for the oral surgeon and prosthodontist to file the treatment plan with Aetna. Every time I talk to her and mentioned it, she changed the subject or ignored it like it was not her problem. My lower jaw was sticking out one inch to the left and I could not eat. I went down to 92 lbs and eventually went into the hospital for failure to thrive. She asked me what I thought the problem was and I told her it was from the TMJ. It was causing so much pain that I could not open my mouth to brush my teeth or eat and the anxiety it caused was unbearable. I mentioned several times that I had two businesses, but I could work until it was fixed. The misalignment of my jaw was so severe, it knocked out almost all of my teeth which now made it a medical for dental claim. I have been permanently disabled since 2008. It took me over a year to find an oral surgeon and a prosthodontist that could repair the damage. They said it would take one year of oral surgery, and they could only replace my now damaged teeth with implants and that dentures were not an option. My oral surgeon also said that because it had not been treated, I developed Periodontal Disease and was at risk of having a stroke. Mary told me she had 1500 patients and she could not remember everything, so I was totally neglected until I almost died. I was invisible to her and everyone at P-3 Medical Group. My sister was so mad and upset that she flew to Las Vegas and called Mary as an emergency. She reminded Mary that there was a previous Medical Necessity script on file, but I needed a new one from her. I did everything on my own, which included finding the specialists that could treat my injury and getting verbal permission from Aetna to proceed with the claim. She told Mary I had to do everything on my own without her help and all I needed from her now was the Medical Necessity script so they could file the claim. Mary refused to give me a Medical Necessity Script and told me to go to the UNLV Medical Dental School. Both my sister and I hit the roof. She STILL did not understand that TMJ is an insurable medical condition. There is no way that the UNLV dental school could help me. No dentist could help me because it was a TMJ medical problem. Her neglect ruined my health and my life. It forced me to cancel all of my business clients and contracts. I am 5 foot 6 and still only 92 pounds. Complaints have been filed with Aetna who I had been working with closely on this claim. A lawsuit is pending against Mary Nara and P-3 medical group for neglect and punitive damages.
