Also, pretty obvious, but a backpack is much more sensible than a bag with handles when you are searching for shark teeth and fossils and need to use your hands. The office manager sent me an email today talking about 'not playing games' and threatening to take possession of my boat for an $800 quarterly bill that I simply did not see the email for - maybe get an auto pay service??? The next message included a THIRD request for proof of insurance that was in actuality the FIRST request. The same insurance that they have on file with the same policy number for YEARS....so more load on the customer for some unknown reason... If you are deciding between 2 spots - do not go here...there is zero wifi/cell service, and the staff is now rude and entitled. Go to a good place where the store is stocked, bathrooms are clean and they actually upkeep the facility or maybe invest in things to make it easier to have a FUN experience like a real billing system.

The clubhouse has a general store with snacks, drinks, beer, wine, and supplies. The lower level has washers and dryers along with full bathrooms with showers and a weight room. The building and docks are well lit and the staff is awesome! The have the boat hotel for people that want to store their boats out of the water and not in a slip which is what we do. The thing that keeps me coming to this marina is the absolute convenience that the staff affords us boaters, since I keep our boat in the "Boatel" I can call down and ask them to put my boat out and they will gas it up if requested. This saves me time and makes for an incredibly enjoyable time on the water. There are dry docks for also cleaning your boat. In all honesty this marina is what probably keeps me living in the area, I have wanted to move out of Stafford but when I tour other marinas I am not impressed with them. Hope Springs has spoiled me in terms of what they do at the marina. Also there is an onsite repair shop called affordable outdoors, they sell boats and repair boats. The also handle my winterization and de-winterization for me and any repairs I might need. It makes it a lot of fun when you can show up and hop In your boat and go! From the beginning, the driver was late which put the family in panic mode. They had lots of luggage that needed to be loaded and the driver showed up 8 minutes late, which caused unneeded stress. Calls to customer service to check on the car were immediately put on hold and then disconnected. Rather than putting the family at ease, the dispatcher was rude, sarcastic, and dismissive and ruined the ride for the family. I later spoke with the manager & owner, thinking they would make it right, but instead, they made excuses and dismissed the complaints & concerns as "things that happen". The fact that this company puts themselves first before their customers and makes excuses for their own actions, speaks volumes about their lack of customer service & satisfaction.
