4 days after, still groggy and

Took my cat to Sunset Eastern Vet for a $50 bath. They said they wouldn't do it unless her shots were up to date. I agreed to that $100. Left her there, got a call that she was being aggressive and they would have to sedate her $100. I reluctantly agreed because she was already there and all the BS charges. She came home like a zombie. I gave her 3 days to come out of her daze, no eating or drinking. She just laid there. And had a big sore or something on her nose. I thought it was chapped from dehydration. Called vet wanting help, they wanted to charge more. I begged for an IV, they agreed $68. 3 days later, she's still bad, barely drinking. Called for help, wants to do labs and stuff which is too costly. I settled for an injection $55. She finally ate half a churu this morning and a ton of water. Im really disappointed with this vet. They had no compassion and shouldn't have given the cat vaccinations and anesthesia at the same time. This is all their fault, they hurt my kitty and couldn't care less.

I have had a lot of pets and. Since I have moved to Vegas I feel Sunset Eastern has been the best clinic my fur baby has gone too. Dewy actually gets "happy" to see the clinic and runs to the door of the office. She has boarded there several times and loves the staff and doctor! She is now 14 years old and is at the sunset of her life. Diagnosed with progressing heart failure, Dr was compassionate to explain how I could prolong her life but that she is nearing the end. I appreciate how my choices were offered to me. I choose to not allow my Frenchie bull to suffer but keep her living just a little longer to say"good bye".

We went in to have our 8week puppy checked because she started having a runny nose yesterday. They had us wait 30 mins in our car then when we went in to check-in the 'RN' said they had two active Parvo cases, and didn't want to see the puppy there.. like thanks but why make me waste 30 mins to tell me that! Rude!

Thank you Sunset Animal Hospital for making the passing of our beloved Bella dog so much easier in the comfort of her home with her family near. You were so professional, kind, caring, and respectful. We were able to say goodbye as well as her furry sisters, and you took care of everything so we didn't get overwhelmed with details. Our family thanks you and would highly recommend your services to anyone searching for in home euthanasia options.

Seriously! The reviews are legit! Wow! I wish I had changed vets long ago! Besides the reasonable spay and neuter prices, Dr Grantz is the nicest and most patient vet! Not only did she answer my questions, her and her assistant did all the vaccines and exam right in front of me!!! I got to hold a Kong peanut butter treat on a stick for my pup to eat to distract her while they administered the shots. What a great idea! Seeing my pet cared for and not wondering what was going on when she disappeared into a back room, like my last vet, was comforting! That was one thing I missed when I lived in Ohio..... the exam in front of me, so I am happy to have found this Vet! While I liked my last vet, I didn't care for the attitude of many of the people and other vets who worked there. So finding this place was a huge relief! Dr Grantz did a spay on my standard poodle Monday, with the smallest incision and my puppers is doing great! Thanks for the text this morning to check on her! Great job to everyone who works there!

I brought my dog Hobi here to be put down March 17, 2018. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. She had been my constant hiking companion for over 14 years. It was all so sudden. I didn't book an appointment. I just showed up when they opened. The staff was polite and understanding and tried to make it as painless as possible for me and I'm sure for Hobi to. I'm finding it hard to write about it even now. I just wanted to thank the staff for their understanding and their professionalism. I'm sure they deal with situations like this all the time, but they did a great job.

I highly recommend Sunset Eastern AH! Their staff takes such good care of our dogs. My dog Biggie has had quite a few bumps in the road this past year and we started coming to this animal hospital. Becky and the rest of the team are always so happy to take him in and they are so good to him. I appreciate that they are more affordable and take care credit, especially in the current times. Its hard to save let alone save for possible animal emergencies right now. Thank you guys for taking such good care of our pups!

I've never had to go to two appointments for any spay or neuter in the past so we thought it was odd but moved forward anyways because we liked this Office so much. Since she was already on her cycle, they said they couldn't do the procedure until after she was over it. But they said the pre-check appointment would be fine to conduct. After the pre-check appointment they scheduled the follow up appointment for the procedure. We arrived at the appointment and during intake they stated that there may be an additional charge if they find that she's internally swollen from her cycle. We asked if it would have been better to have come back when we knew for sure she would be ready. They stated yes it would have been better if we had come back the following week when we would know for sure. Are you serious right now? You guys are the ones who setup the follow up appointment! At this point we're now confident that they are either bait and switching or else price gouging. They had already started the intake before we comprehended the predicament they put us in. We ended up getting charged for that appointment (but not the additional precheck steps; whatever that's supposed to mean... again, never had so many appointments for a spay) and left saying we would contact them to schedule another appointment for the following week. I called the following day and then proceeded to call every two days. After the first week, we stopped leaving messages since it was clear no one was listening to them or following up with them. We then proceeded to call every day instead; different times of the day. Here we are, weeks later, no one has returned our phone calls, no one seems to answer the phone, and what's even worse is after those two appointments you would've thought that a "good vet" would have followed up! But nope, dead silence. If I wasn't disabled and hubs wasn't my full-time caretaker then he would've just gone there instead of calling. But leaving the house is extremely challenging for me and leaving me alone is dangerous. So every time we leave the house it's a precarious situation. So you can imagine our frustration with the lack of care that this vet seems to show. They seem to have very little respect for people's lives or time. But this negative review is not based solely on the lack of respect for our lives or time. After all, what's important is the care that our pets receive. As it stands, the multiple appointments for a spay procedure sounds more stressful than helpful to the pets. When it came to the follow up appointments for our other cat and our dog, there were serious discrepancies between the different vets in this office. During a particular follow up for our cat who had kidney stones, the vet went down a laundry list of concerns and we questioned why none of this was brought up just two weeks prior. She seemed to be taken back with our response; it was almost as if she was treating it as a new patient intake appointment. After a few minutes, it was obvious that she hadn't checked his prior records even though this was a "follow up appointment". She claimed it was some excuse about not seeing the correct test. So I'm sorry, you did in fact look at his prior records but acted as if this was a new appointment because you didn't find a specific test? Seriously, what kind of BS excuse is that? And my complaints are obviously nothing new. If you look at their reviews, the complaints are exactly as we state; lack of respect for their patients families and their time, and inconsistent care that could prove to be very dangerous, as is evidenced by their negative reviews. And with each of those negative reviews, they claim that they take the reports very seriously. Clearly that's just a line of BS since they seem to have not improved on those complaints. At this point, we had already decided to not bring our pets back in. We were going to complete our cat's spay procedure and then find another vet. But honestly, I'm not even confident we could move forward with the procedure given all of the scheduling issues... or would they try to charge us for all of that all over again? I've lost any confidence that this vet has any integrity.

I would never talk bad about a business but I feel the need to warn you all and say think twice before sending your beloved animal here. My poor baby Darla had a seizure so we rushed her here asap. They took every hard earned dollar and pulled on our heart strings and poked and prodded her veins dry. Finally, we just had to get a second opinion. So we discharged her against "medical advice" and took her to another vet who said there was nothing wrong with her and after one overnight stay, they discharged her. It's in the new Walgreens and where the Babk of America used to be. It's import to tell you where it is because the address on Google maps places it in the incorrect area. We saw Dr Wagner ! She listens with her eyes! I have a terrible time trying to communicate because of a brain injury. Dr Wagner and all of the staff are so amazing in their true care for not only the patient ( my sweetest huge dog) as well as my trying desperately to tell them what I have observed of my dog.. my words come out differently than I see in my head. So, this group has been very excellent in communicating. The office was very clean! The front desk has a very sweet lady working the desk and appointments. They do text which is easiest for me to understand which is crucial in my current situation. The front desk lady is named Val! What a total sweetheart! I was late because my dog refused to get into my vehicle. She thought she was going back to the rescue. This is my fault because I was so worried about my dog, she didn't want to go when I was upset. I tried for 45 minutes to get my huge dog into my car and she absolutely refused. I calked Val and she sent me the information to call Pets & Claws NV who promptly drove to my home to grab my 124 pound stubborn dog and wisk her to the vet for me. . I had the option of going with them or driving behind them. I chose to drive behind them because I really wanted the vet to have time with my dog knowing she would need sedation to be examined because she felt so poorly. The staff was not upset with me for being over an hour late, I pray they know I truly tried so hard because arriving late is my worst nightmare. I don't like to keep people waiting especially busy vet clinics. If you have a pet in Las Vegas you will know finding a vet you can trust is close to impossible. I LOVED this vet clinic. I brought my own dog treats because I know what treats motivate my baby better than anyone. . We chose the freeze dried beef liver. The veterinarian had the same treats! The room was so clean. They had a small blanket for my dog to lay down on and brought her a clean water bowl 1/3 ice and a little water over the top which is perfect so the dog drink too much in case they need anesthesia. My dog eagerly drank the water then enjoyed kicking the ice. There was a welcome sign with my most precious babies name on it! I thought, how classy and welcoming. . The techs that I met were extremely kind and supportive. I'm sorry I don't remember their name. My brain wasn't working since I was so stressed from being so late! Like my dog, I was very apprehensive because I wanted help for my girl and since I worked so hard to get there, my brain took a big shite. Great not. Yes I know the dog picks up my anxiety but I've had horrible Dr visits as well as veterinary visits since I came to Las Vegas over 20 years ago. It's worse now since my brain isn't normal functioning like it used to. The technicians talked to me first then the doctor came in. The area where I sat, was long enough for me to kind of lay down since I was exhausted and fearful hoping they could help my dog. My anxiety was at 119%. The Dr took time to hear me , I had kept a food and water diary for my dog for several weeks so I was able to give her exact portions of what at what time. I wanted to make sure my dog could have anesthesia for her exam. She was in a bad way and I hoped for a thorough examination without extra pain for my dog. The doctor explained what she was going to do and took my dog to the work area and allowed me to go home to wait. I was called a couple hours later and the vet left a message that I could pick up my dog as she was coming out of anesthesia . I called to see if the transportation was available but they were busy so I called the vet and they said they could get my dog into my car. Thankfully my dog was loopy but happy to see me. The bill was very close to the estimate so no surprise there. Yes veterinarian bills are not cheap however I was very very pleased with the accuracy of the original estimate. The doctor took time to show me the images of my dog and explained every detail of her exam. Not one vet has ever done this for me. I appreciate the extra time as this is MY child. She showed me everything. Then she explained the medication needed that they had prescribed. My dog was due for her rabies . I really don't want a rabies shot because they have a NEW one that resembles the mRNA shots we all horrible we're forced to take in 2021. I knew I absolutely refused to have the new rabies shot and she had the original version which is the one she gave to my dog. This I appreciate more than most could .
