Sunset Gardens was OUR FIRST & LAST VENUE that we looked at. I wanted to have GARDEN WEDDING. We live in LA and wedding here can be VERY EXPENSIVE and our friend suggested that we should look up some venues in Las Vegas because most of the venues there have Wedding Packages which majority of what you'll need are included in the package and AFFORDABLE. We REGRET NOTHING. Everything was PERFECT! We booked the "OUTDOOR WEDDING" 75 people, and we paid $75 PP for the EXTRA people we had after 75 guests. Our wedding was on SEPTEMBER 9, 2017, we booked our wedding day back in Oct. 2015, which was 2 yrs prior to our wedding because we knew it's the right venue for us. We booked the "TERRACE ROOM" TERRACE ROOM was the BEST, it has the most lighting outside which was so romantic and it's PRIVATE... Everyone can chill outside under the lights after the ceremony.... For 2 yrs I booked this place, I would always look on YELP constantly for new reviews, new pics and anything thats happening the LATEST here at Sunset Gardens. I was always worried that something wrong will happen BUT EVERYTHING was perfect there at Sunset Gardens. Hair Stylist made my hair so horrible. I was not happy with the outcome. ***UPGRADES*** =SATURDAY Wedding Day FEE $500 extra. =VIDEOGRAPHER was $525 and another $75 for highlight montage, coming out to "$600" for video. On Friday April 27th, 2018 I married the man of my dreams at Sunset Gardens and it was nothing short of magical. My husband, Tim and I were blown away by the overall experience. It was an absolute pleasure working with the Sunset Garden team. The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for in terms of food, atmosphere, scenery, price and overall experience. We live in Oregon and nothing locally compared to the packages Sunset Gardens offers. The entire staff were nothing but helpful leading up to and during the course of our wedding. Tim and I are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with them. They went above and beyond the call of duty. Whenever we needed something or had a question, they always were responsive and quick. They understood our vision and it turned out beautifully! As an all-inclusive wedding venue we couldn't fault anything. The chapel and banquet hall were exquisite. The food was out of this world and all our guests commented on its quality. Table side service during the reception was appreciated beyond words. Access to the unlimited bar was all the rave. My husband and I were able to truly enjoy the experience without worrying about a thing. The photographer... I literally have no words. He captured so many special moments so artistically that I cannot gush over his skills enough. Thank you for immortalizing one of the most important days of my life, Spencer. I cannot rave enough about this venue and the staff!! It was the best day of our lives, and the amazing people at Sunset Gardens made that possible for us. THANK YOU to our photographer Spencer, coordinator Tony, Reverend Linda, DJ Syd, Kathy "the cake lady", and everyone else involved; from the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful for the experience you provided us. We do not live in Nevada, but we love visiting Las Vegas, so a destination wedding in our favorite city was what we wanted. After countless hours of searching online for the perfect venue, Sunset Gardens seemed to have it all, at a reasonable cost. We relied on reviews and photos, as we did not tour this venue before our wedding day, and I am SO glad we chose to get married here. The venue is gorgeous! Tony was so great to us. I can tell he genuinely loves his business. He took care of EVERYTHING. I didn't have a bouquet picked out the day before the wedding, so he just picked up the phone and ordered me one. He took my box of decorations that I shipped in, asked me what my vision for them was, and took care of the rest. He explained every detail of how our day would be. He put our mind at ease and took the stress away from "wedding planning". Kathy, "the cake lady", was very pleasant to work with and she made it so easy for us to choose a cake from a different state - She gave us TONS of options and was very flexible with what we wanted. We didn't bring a cake topper so she used some flowers and it was gorgeous. She showed me our cake when I arrived to the venue and greeted me with a hug and warm wishes. Spencer Burton was our photographer. He is truly talented and amazing at his profession. We decided to get 2 extra hours of photography around the Las Vegas strip before the ceremony and I am absolutely thrilled with our photos. If you choose to do this and pay the extra $300 you will not regret it! We chose to do our "first look" at our hotel (The Flamingo) where Spencer met my husband outside in the gardens. He gave great instructions and took beautiful photos of his reaction to seeing me for the first time that day. After taking photos there, we went to the Bellagio. The backdrop was breathtaking, and the fountains weren't even on! Next we chose to go to the infamous Las Vegas Sign. Spencer saw the long line of people waiting, and with our limited time frame he instructed us to stand off to the side of the line and he would angle the photos so that it looked like we were the only ones there. I am amazed. We were there for maybe 4 minutes and got the most incredible photos. We then took breathtaking photos at the venue. The variety and amount of backdrops and posed/candid photos that he provided was incredible. These photos truly exceeded my expectations in the best way and I will cherish them forever. Spencer was not only an amazing photographer, but also very kind, professional, and easy to work with. He creatively thought of every detail and it reflects in our photos. DJ Syd was so fun. He called me the day before our wedding to go over some details. We talked for a while, it felt like he was an old friend that I had known forever! He asked me what songs I wanted played at certain times during the wedding, and when I was stumped he gave great suggestions. He suggested that we play "Have I told you lately that I love you" during mother/son and father/daughter dancing, and it brought happy tears to their eyes. It's now my dad's favorite song. My guests loved Syd's energy, his delivery was fun and charismatic. Reverend Linda was such a kind and caring person. She made me feel at ease and did a beautiful job marrying us. She was easy to communicate with and even gave us a nice variety of pre-written vows for us to choose from since we did not choose to write our own. She was passionate and genuine during our ceremony, and her words about our marriage were beautiful. Our photos show her with a big smile on her face at all times. The food was delicious! Everyone had seconds, and thirds! They told us that we could take as much as we want home with us, and food left behind would be donated to a local food shelter. The bartenders made great drinks and everyone always made sure our plates and glasses were full. Overall, the efforts of all of the employees made our day perfect. BEST DAY EVER!!! Married on October 10th, 2019. My husband and I chose Sunset Gardens for our ceremony and reception venue not only because it was a beautiful venue inside and out but also because Tony and the rest of the Sunset Garden's staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We had big visions for our special day and were told the venue would help us set everything up that we brought in from the outside no problem. Something else that was very nice about this venue is a lot comes with the package ...DJ/MC, Day of Coordinator, Photography, Cake, 4hr Reception, Food, serving staff, 4hr open bar with bartender, some decorations, and discounts for certain vendors. We had 125 guests which to us was a big number, but the ceremony seating was laid out nicely and the reception room was well laid out to where there was plenty of space and didn't seem crowed at all. Nice big dance floor as well. We hired out for photography because it was one of our most important things for the day, but we did use Sunset Garden's Videographer, Dave. Video Dave did a very nice job on our highlight montage and full length video. Happy to have gone with the venues recommendation. Kathy the cake baker did a fabulous job on our cake. It looked exactly how we envisioned and tasted great! Syd the DJ was awesome and kept the flow of the wedding/reception going through the night! The evening was one for the books, and went smoothly. Everyone had a very good time, especially us! My only complaint was because there are many ceremony/reception spots within this venue, after our ceremony we had to wait inside the small dressing room before we could take pictures with the wedding party and family because there was another ceremony going on next to our spot. We almost missed the lighting we needed, but luckily they let us go out and take pictures as long as we were quiet. It just took a little longer than we had hoped to finish with pictures and make our grand entrance into the reception hall. Other than that everything was perfect! I had my wedding here 11/5, and I wouldn't change a single thing! I had such bad anxiety before the event, and literally wish I didn't because every single thing fell into place perfectly. i spent most of Sunday at sunset gardens, I made use of the dressing room all day! we met our stylist Mya there and our make up artist Holly, there was plenty of room for all of us to get ready, I walked around a bit to check on reception room set up, and Sugar the woman who did my set up was fantastic! I only made one small change which is amazing for me because I'm notoriously fussy about decor placement. Nikki our planner was fantastic she had champagne waiting in the room for us, she got us a rack for our dresses, and checked on us periodically. she did a great job managing my wedding, my bridal party and I are still singing her praises, she was professional, but still incredibly fun! I'm so thankful for her! Spencer our photographer was amazing at giving direction, he was fun, but clearly knew what he was doing, I get anxious taking photos because I'm not super photogenic, but I can't wait to see our photos from the wedding. our ceremony was gorgeous, the terrace garden and gazebo where perfectly lit, the lighting was fairy tale like, I wore a black dress and had a slightly darker aesthetic, but gothic brides your decor will absolutely work here! Linda lead our ceremony beautifully, I couldn't stop looking at my husband, it felt like she knew us personally even though we only talked briefly before . dj Dale Savage and are were on the same wavelength, everyone got up and danced at some point, and I danced alot! Our server Lexi was on top of everything, everyone talked about the amazing service we had at the reception and how delicious the food was. our bartender Mike was on point, guest love an open bar, and we loved our signature drinks. we used all the vendor sunset suggested including Natalie from petals flowers and events, she did my ceremony flowers and I loved them , I also had my cake done through cake designs and Dawn totally nailed it, my cake was also freakin' delicious. Can't give 10 stars so I'll settle for 5. Future brides (and proactive grooms) Sunset Gardens is the real deal. Yes. I know you think there is a "fine print" section you think you missed when looking over there services (and prices) but believe me, they provide what they say will provide and more. Their service was amazing. Pre-wedding: Leading up to the wedding Sunset Gardens was always very prompt with responding back to me via phone call or email. No question too small. Everything was taken care of. 5 Stars. Petals Florist: Natalie Hannigan did a wonderful job creating the perfect florals based on the vision I had for the wedding. She's direct and to the point...not a warm-fuzzy type. But that's not the point. I feel women are expected to be like Martha Stewart or something. 5 Stars Tiers of Joy: Kathy Rude worked with me to create the perfect wedding cake AND a groom's cake. Even in her emails you just know Kathy is sweet and kind. It was especially awesome to have our free third tier on the wedding cake. (We had over 50 guests with the Something Blue package). The cakes looked exactly as I imagined. The taste for me seemed not as fresh as I'd hope. 3.5 Stars for taste and texture. 5 Stars for presentation Bowtie Tuxedos. We went with David Bridal gowns and Men's Warehouse Tuxes. But due to the craziness of coordinating it all with wedding party all over the U.S. we could've just used the services offered by Sunset Gardens. The apparel looked great. We didn't use the service but from what I could see they have a great selection. Joleon Salon: With our Something Blue package we had $100 credit toward salon service. Me and the Bride Squad were using the Glamsquad 702 for hair and makeup. I offered the credit to my mother-in-law but she wanted to hit the strip. So, I used the credit for my bridal mani. My nails looked perfect!!!! 5 Stars Pastor Larry: Wow! Just wow! He was very warm, friendly, and funny. He made our ceremony fun and personable. Bonus, he even submitted our marriage license in a timely manner even though they were super busy and it was a holiday. Thank you Pastor Larry. 5 Stars Anthony: Very friendly. Unlimited photography was included. Pictures are good for the price. Only one photographer. The session is fast. We get to download all pics and use a $50 credit for prints 5 Stars Video Dave: Package upgrade. Dave was very nice. Our video was DVD. We don't own a Blu-Ray. But we're surprised the quality is so grainy. Quick-Turnaround a plus. 3.5 Stars DJ Syd: In case you haven't figured it out by reading the other Yelp reviews, DJ Syd is da man!!!! I was a bride once and I read through the Yelp reviews and other third-party sites and one thing kept coming up as a hit or a miss for Sunset Gardens. The DJ. If you are a music enthusiast then you'll definitely want Syd. If you don't care and you just want some background noise then still book Syd. He's fantastic. He worked with me via email and phone calls to ensure the wedding music was just as I envisioned. He kept the party bumping and my friends and family really enjoyed themselves. 5 Stars Which brings me to a side note...if you have the option and budget to add a bonus hour to your reception, ADD THE HOUR. At midnight we had to kick everyone out because we were paying for limo shuttles and those ain't cheap. We were sad to see everyone trying to stay for more but alas, the night was over. We underestimated how much fun our family and friends would have. One more hour would've been perfect to squeeze in more dancing and time to wind down the night. Gigi: Our on-site wedding coordinator was our wedding angel. I don't know how else to describe her. Gigi I am sending you digital hugs right now. Can you feel them? Before we even stepped foot into Sunset Gardens we already confident our wedding would go perfectly. Gigi is da woman! (It'd be weird if I called her da man...) She handled us with warmth, wit, and patience. She's direct..this lady is on the move, but it's with YOUR wedding in mind. I don't know how she does it. I got a glimpse into her world and it's BUSY. Even my husband was impressed by how she made our important little details HER important little details. He was like, how did she remember our details and you can clearly see she works with hundreds of brides (or more) in a month. We are still amazed at her fine attention to details. We also appreciated Gigi stating guard for us while we enjoyed our meals. Everyone warns you that the bride and groom don't get a chance to eat. This review is mostly for the owner. I was married at Sunset Gardens on 9-19-23. There were a lot of complications with my wedding and when I brought these concerns to Tony he was completely dismissive and defensive. One of my major complaints was a racist statement made by DJ Syd. My husband is Mexican so I explained we wanted English and Spanish music played. DJ Syd asked what my mother-in-law's name was and I said Maria. He then said "What's his dad's name, Jose?" And burst into laughter. I mean obviously this wasn't the worst thing to ever be said but it was completely offensive and very awkward. When I told Tony what happened his response was "I've know Syd for a long time. He's not racist I mean, he's black". I'm still shocked at that response. Other issues I had with the DJ was that songs I wanted played at certain times weren't played, songs I specialifcally asked NOT to be played were, he randomly played jazz and very strange songs, and also I had multiple guests (from different groups) tell me the open bar was never announced. People were not aware they could go to the bar to get drinks while we took pictures (which took a long time bc we were late & also have a very large group). Tony's response was "your guest just weren't paying attention". They decided to pull up grass from the outside area so there are several pits of dirt. I understand that landscaping needs to be maintained but the photographer set us up right in front of the dirt instead of several other locations that have a nice background. Overall my wedding was beautiful. I am just beyond disappointed with management and the DJ and wanted to give a heads up to other brides. I feel invalidated and pretty upset. I will say, there is a female server (blonde hair, short, with an 18 month old baby) I'm so sorry I don't know your name. You were absolutely amazing. You helped me more than my coordinator even did. You are an absolute doll and I appreciate you so much. You made my night better. read more

Sunset Gardens staff are super friendly, professional and so helpful. We are from out of town, have a 3hr time difference and had to bring all our extra decorations and such. They worked on our schedule, assisted us, answered all our questions promptly and did a phenomenal job decorating the venue. The food was fantastic too and so was our cake. They did more than we could imagine for. And made it easy for us. We are very pleased with everything they did for us. The DJ did an outstanding job as well. Dale coordinate with us too on when to hype and slow down the music. The guests really had fun. Our photographer Laurie, she's so awesome!!! Not only did she give us our digital pictures fast, they are very gorgeous. We didn't know what or how to pose on pictures but she made it look natural for us. She coordinated with our videographer as well. She's very professional and gets the best pictures for the the special event. She knows how special the day is and she does everything to make sure you get all the best pictures and memories to keep. Better than we hoped!!! Our wedding was on 9/20/19 and I cannot say enough about how amazing our experience was at Sunset Gardens! We worked with Tony (owner), Gigi (coordinator), Natalie (Petals Florist), Kathy (Cake), DJ Syd (music) & Anthony (Photographer). The grounds were spectacularly beautiful, the reception room was perfect, Tony was amazing, fun & easy to work with, Gigi kept us organized and on track, Natalie created BEAUTIFUL flowers, centerpieces, uplighting and decor, the cake was DELICIOUS and beautiful (white cake/lemon filling), DJ Syd was over-the-top great and easy to work with! The timing on the ceremony was efficient but the flow was not rushed. During the reception - we didn't have to do a thing except enjoy our guests!! My husband and I were served all night w/food and drinks & our guests were treated to a beautiful buffet. The food was FABULOUS (carving station/special chicken entrees) plus they even accommodated many of our guests with delicious vegan choices. During the reception, the music and volume were perfect and DJ Syd kept everything flowing beautifully! Kathy created the most beautiful and delicious cake and was super easy to work with. Anthony was great! We did the "first look" option and took the majority of pics before the wedding with a few post ceremony sunset pics - this allowed more time with our guests at the reception. I have so many things to say about the experience of getting married, I don't even know where to start!!! When my fella and I decided to get married in Vegas, it was because it's a fun city where there's a lot to do, a million places to stay, and a lot of options for the trim level of our wedding. Originally we thought it'd be like 30 friends. Ha! We had 30 friends over for Thanksgiving. We booked our March 1 ceremony back in September, thinking 30 people. We figured we'd get married, hit a buffet and then the strip. Then we started telling people about the wedding. Guest list goes from 30-50 to 80-120 within weeks. East Coast family wants to fly out and join us. LA friends can't wait. Even my good friend who lives in Maui wanted to come! It's great to be loved! But we needed to get real. And we needed to get a reception venue. So I yelped and I emailed around. I got some quotes that would be reasonable to most brides... but seemed totally out of scale in my mind. You can buy a car with $16,000... and a wedding is just a party. Sunset Gardens came with lots of yelp love, and a totally lovable price tag which was only the tiniest smidge out of our range.. close enough to make room. The pictures were beautiful, and Tony, the coordinator, took really great care of me! I didn't have to do a damn thing. In my opinion, that's exactly how it should be! We talked over some options for linens by phone, the menu, the cake, all the details were totally seamless and easy. I'm sure I could have made it difficult if I tried- or if I were indecisive, but hey, I'm simple. I just want vanilla cake and prime rib. The week before the wedding, I decided I wanted to have a candy buffet. So I ran around town, bought all this fun glass ware second hand, went to Jack's wholesale candy (review to follow) and called Tony. "Should I make a diagram? how big is the table you'd use for this? Tony says "How ever you want it to be. Whatever you need, I've got it." Best answer ever. I dropped our stuff off the day before the wedding, and I was honestly blown away by how awesome the place is. I mean it, it's tear-to-your-eye beautiful! Everything was totally seamless- the DJ was cool, the bartenders took good care of everyone, wait staff was friendly, food was good, cake was good too, even my crazy candy buffet looked beautiful! We got married here last night (10/17/15) and it was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! Highly recommend. We booked the Sunset Room as our destination reception and so we never saw anything or did any tastings in advance except for the video calls. Everything came out amazing and more beautiful than I expected. The cake had to be one of my favorites, and the food was delicious and had a lot of variety to accommodate special dietary requests. The planners were so attentive and the bartender kept our guests happy. The photographer was the sweetest and got the best pictures posed and candid! I would have liked to speak with the DJ further out because music is so important to me, but it was fine and he gave us a good time! read more

After looking at numerous places around town, I decided to get married at Sunset Gardens. The decision was made easy by the simple fact that they did the most stuff for me so I didn't have to. Laziness wins, once again! I had somethin like 6 months to prepare, and in that time all I basically had to do was buy a dress. They arranged the ceremony, set up the rehearsal times, arranged the reception, decorated it, catered it, provided a DJ, a photographer, the works. Now, the me of today wouldn't have wanted something like that, but the me of 1999 loved every bit of it. I was especially impressed with the photographer, he took some beautiful shots, and the grounds themselves are gorgeous. My husband and I got married here on 8/5/16. I couldn't have asked for anything better for a destination wedding. With my family in Texas and his in Ohio, Vegas was a fun in-between. We didn't visit before the wedding, just went off the great Yelp reviews! The process was easy and left us with zero stress. We made our downpayment about a year before the wedding and kept in contact with Sunset Gardens through email. When wedding time came, we had a quick day-before wedding rehearsal with Samantha. We brought all of our extra decorations that day (probably should have shipped them now that I think about it - more packing room!) They set everything up for us and opened up the bridal suite for me & my girls a few hours before the wedding. Samantha really kept us in the know, on time and calm. The staff also took time to help my dad, who was ill. The ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. The buffet and cake were so good! Everyone loved the environment and food. Our photographer Spencer was also the bomb. My crazy wedding party had a great time with him. He took more than 1,000 photos of us. All of them were gorgeous. I know my way around photoshop so I didn't get the upgraded photoshop deal they offer. Sadly, a few days after the wedding my dad passed. Samantha and Spencer immediately helped get us some photos of him from the wedding. It just shows how caring this place is - even after our wedding day. I highly suggest Sunset Gardens! read more

Decent place for a non-Vegas wedding in Vegas. Definitely much nicer than any of the hotel or ballroom weddings I've been to. The outside area (for the actual wedding) was set-up very nicely. Lot of twinkling lights, etc. But they lose points because of the plastic chairs. And the planes coming in for landing were annoying. At most times (especially if you were sitting in the back), you couldn't even hear what was going on or being said. The inside area (for the reception) was ok. Nothing particularly notable about it. But the tables and everything looked great. The bar area was very small with limited selection, but the bartender was very nice. The buffet was bleh (which was pretty much exactly what I was expecting). The dance area was also pretty small. I do have to say, though, that the staff seemed really on top of everything. They stayed hidden and out of the way, but if you were paying attention, you could truly see all they were doing and how well they kept everything moving and flowing. So big points for that. Overall, I would say it evens out to about 3 stars. read more

First off, the wedding went amazing, our photographer Anthony just killed it with the quality of pictures. Gigi, as the coordinator, also knocked it out of the park. Everything was beautiful...BUT the food absolutely was awful. This was the one area that I truly, truly cared about, and worked hard to make sure the menu was as good as they can get. All of the appetizers were cold and soggy. And the entree plate looked like the prime rib was just hacked off. It looked absolutely awful. And everything was cold on the plate. We had to send back our prime rib since it was so bad. I had many guests come to me and express sympathy about the food. Everything else was perfect, but if you're looking for a decent meal, please look elsewhere. read more

I want to start this review on a positive note. We got married at Sunset Gardens on 12-30-22 and it was beautiful. We had the ALL-INCLUSIVE (explain all caps later) ceremony & reception package for 50 guests. We are locals but our family and guests came from out of state. However, unfortunately due to Southwest issue our guest count went from 50 to 25, no fault of Sunset Gardens, of course. The planning meetings were wonderful and easy with one exception. It was not until the 3rd of the three meetings that we were told we would be excepted to pay 8-12% mandatory gratuity on day of wedding ( this was 30 days away) and had not been factored into our budget. We were under the impression that this is what the service fees were that we were told about from the beginning. However, the gratuity was on top of the service fee. F - Bartender - So you pay base package price, service fee, and gratuity then during our reception at the bar which was included in our package the bartender had a tip jar out and was offended that no one tipped. The bartender had audacity to say something about it to my husband that she was upset no one was tipping her. Also, found out minors were served alcohol. A - Pastor was funny even for only speaking with him 24 hours in advance he was professional and put together. Our marriage license was processed before reception was even over. A++++ - Food was amazing and we have tons of left overs. B - Cake was beautiful, however guests did not get to choose what flavor they wanted. A - Photographer did with great with our asks. We haven't received photos yet. 8 weeks seems like forever but since we get all the digitally pictures I can wait. A+ - D.J. was awesome. He played all the right music and all our requests. Glad our interests were aligned. A - Wedding coordinator kept my wishes respected in a professional manner. The guidance was much appreciated. D - Clean-up and pickup process- to be honest I was a bit upset. I felt my items were not respected and handled with great care. Our sand ceremony item was placed under an employee's arm and tipped on its side. Our glass items were shoved all together. Our cake knife was broken. I did appreciate everyone's positive attitudes and their customer service. The twinkle lights in the garden are beautiful and really set the tone. For the money and overall experience I give this place an 6.5/10. read more

Where do I start! We wanted a beautiful, modest, fun wedding, and Tony, his staff, the food, and the venue met our needs perfectly! Just for perspective, we're both around 50, we've both lived in Vegas about 20 years (been together for 3), and our guest list (of 50 people) was a mix of locals and out of towners, ranging in age from about 25 to 85. They, especially Maria, incorporated our ideas, colors, and some personal pics and things with their settings, and everything was beautiful. The facilities were so clean and the garden and grounds were beautifully maintained. The food was excellent (especially the prime rib!), the DJ was great and didn't try to turn it into a loud dance party. Sunset Gardens has done this thousands of times, and know what they're doing. The base price was very reasonable. We paid for a few extras, but not much, and they weren't pushy about anything. They're located in a strip mall with a dress shop, a florist, tux rentals, and a hair salon in the same lot. They offer you deals and discounts for all of these, but again, they don't push you. We had so many guests from out of town, and so much to coordinate outside of the actual wedding, I don't see how we could have possibly coordinated a chapel, a reception venue, settings, food, a pastor, a DJ, and a bartender anywhere near as well as Tony at Sunset Gardens did for us! Our guest totally raved about everything and how beautiful our wedding was. Everyone's professionalism and kindness was so impressive! Tony was always there to answer my questions. "Thank you!" I couldn't possibly say enough great things about Sunset Gardens! They made my wedding the wedding of my dreams. My husband and I held our reception and ceremony here on 8/21/2016. We used the "Something Blue" package for 50 people. We booked our date at the end of January of 2016. As soon as we walked in, I just new this was the place. Tony gave us a tour of the ceremony room and the reception hall, which at the time were already set up for a wedding. It was just beautiful and we decided to book. We had to put a deposit of $1500 to reserve our date and they sent us home with a packet with tons of information including the different food options we could choose, a list of all the third party vendors they worked with, like the salon and flower shop, etc. We used Petals florist, DJ Dale Savage, Pastor Larry, Tiers of Joy cake baker, Joleon Salon & Spa, and their Photographer, Steve Shofner Photography. And with every single one of these vendors, we had an absolutely incredible experience. I just wrote really detailed reviews of each of these, but Yelp told me I was getting too wordy, so I'll have to leave those on their individual pages - LOL. But be assured, each of these vendors was nothing but professional, helpful, and really did the most to make sure the whole day went smoothly. About a month before the wedding, we had our final meeting with Sunset Gardens at which point we finalized all the details of table cloths, chair covers and bows, how many tables and guests, our food choices, etc. We also were able to reserve a photobooth for the reception! I had really wanted to get one and didn't know at first that that option was available, so it was so exciting to have that! It was only an extra $600 something for the photobooth, which had an attendant with tons of props. He printed two sets of pictures, one for our guest and then one which went into a photo album for us that our guests could write on and we got to take home as soon as the reception was over. So the price was well worth it to me. After that meeting, we met again once more on the day before the wedding before the rehearsal to make sure everything was right. I had a lot of decorations and things I had made or ordered for the event, which they had us bring the day before the wedding to our ceremony rehearsal. I just left them with a huge heap of random things, and when I came back on the day of our wedding after having my hair and make up done, I walked into the reception hall to find everything already set up exactly as I had wanted it. It's like they got into my brain and could see my vision, because they got every little detail right, without even having to be told. I knew going into wedding day to not expect perfection. Of course I wanted everything to be perfect, but I knew to anticipate something to go wrong, because I feel like something always does. But let me tell you, after our wedding was finished and we were driving away, I realized that it really could not have gone better. Everything was absolutely perfect. We had no problems to speak of. My wedding was the wedding of my dreams, and I can not say enough good things about Sunset Gardens. Their packages make it so easy and stress free! My review is about 4 months late! But I promised GiGi I would leave her a review. My overall experience with Sunset Gardens exceeded my expectations. I was very happy with the ALL INCLUSIVE packages they offer for a wonderful wedding experience, but at reasonable prices. I was hesitant in going with the outside gazebo for the 75+ guests , as I wasn't sure just how many people I was inviting. We opted for the Chapel and the room closest to the main entrance. I wanted a more church like feel, and this definitely worked for me. The communication was a little slow to start, but in the welcome package they do let you know the time frames in which they will be contacting you and for what. The only one I was a little upset about was the timing for the DJ because I truly feel that I should have had more time than 2 weeks to decide on music for our special day. Yes, I did have a couple songs in mind , but I had no idea of the order of events, and how everything required a song. Which is ok I loved that I would be able to pick these songs, but I didn't just want to pick any song either. We cut it down to the last minute with the DJ regarding those options. Secondly, I provided the DJ a list of songs I wanted played at my wedding and the genres. I was not very pleased with the DJ whatsoever to be honest I was a little sad I didn't get the DJ that everyone wrote great reviews about, he was nice, but to be honest the music was just not what I expected. He didn't even really play the music we wanted to dance to until the last 30 min of the wedding which kinda sucked. Another thing I was very disappointed about was the Flower lady from Petals Flowers and Events. She was the RUDEST person ever! I am appalled at how rude she was. Her whole demeanor was that she couldn't be bothered. Maybe because I didn't look like I was spending a lot of money with her, and I didn't I spend about $800, but still. I'm a General Manager for a Nationwide Auto Glass shop and regardless if my customer drives a Ferrari or a 99 pickup I still treat them all the same and give the same quality of customer service. What I loved about my wedding is my wedding planner she was awesome, helpful,sweet, encouraging, and always available to answer my questions. She exceeded my expectations in her services. I also loved the staff so professional, courteous, and elegant all my guests were very impressed. The food was ammmaaaazing we recommend getting the carving station it really is worth the extra per person. Also, my cake was beautiful and delicious exactly what I hoped it would look like. My guest bring up the cake until this day. Overall I do feel like I got my money's worth in everything. Pictures were beautiful, photographer and videographer awesome and super helpful.Our officiant also delivered a beautiful ceremony. My husband and I got married on April 19th, 2019 at The Side Yard which is the sister building of Sunset Gardens. It is just down the street from Sunset Gardens and it is absolutely gorgeous. This place was so beautiful. My co-worker just got married here last weekend. The services was outside under a gazebo. Beautiful flowers all around us. The trees all had lights in the branches, it was just amazing. Especially when the sky started getting darker. The reception was held inside and the decor was absolutely amazing. Initially, we were very skeptical because everything Tony promised sounded too good to be true considering the package value for their venue. However, I'm happy to report that Tony, Natalie, Gigi and the entire team at Sunset Gardens delivered. My wedding was an absolute dream come true and I couldn't be happier with all that they delivered and more. To all the couples out there, don't even think twice. Sunset Gardens is a hidden gem that didn't disappoint. The food was amazing - get the bruschetta, beef wellington and prime rib - it was worth the extra cost. For our photos, Spencer did an amazing job! The photos came out beautiful, we paid extra for getting ready and church photos. The cake was also delicious although I only had a few bites, it was yummy! All in all, we cannot recommend this venue enough and I'm so thankful that we picked Sunset Gardens!!
