There was only one server, Josh, running the entire front of the house by himself. Apparently this is customary on Wednesdays. Before he could seat us, he had to clear off a table. Several tables were just in disarray and when people came in, this poor man had to scramble to clean something off. I went to the bathroom and one stall had absolutely no toilet paper or covers. And one dispenser had no soap. The bathroom was just yucky. When I came back, we still didn't have menus or drinks. When our food came, we asked for condiments that took too long that we ended up taking them from another table. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The cook gave me a stale biscuit that just ruined my meal. I couldn't eat it or ask for it to be remade because Josh was too busy to check in on us or refill our drinks. I told him when he came to pick up the plates. He apologized, but he didn't remove it from the check. I paid $10 for a meal I couldn't eat. We got a piece of pie and the taste was kind of weird...like it had been freezer burned and then defrosted. The whole experience was disappointing.

After 20 mins., we received our meals. He kindly set down our food and said "If you need anything else, feel free to let me know". 5 or 10 mins. later, he walked outside with a woman (coworker?). A customer came in not too long after, and the woman in red let the customer know the cashier/cook went on a quick store run. That's when I realized that our fries were missing. It's definitely as it looks on the outside--just a small side of the building. The "restaurant" itself is only an ordering window that looks into the kitchen and variations of the menu on the wall. You select two entrees and get unlimited refills of those two you selected. The food was delicious. We had to be a little bit confident/firm to get going on the refills of the entrees. Judging by the number of times the guy came and asked us if we want bread or rice refills, a less prepared diner might get the impression that the free refills only applied to the bread and rice. "Bread? Rice?" became the punchline of our trip. I loved the roti bread when it was really hot, especially the darker parts and the rajma was a big hit too. We got our roti vegan without butter and a plate that's vegan other than the yogurt (you can ask for no yogurt ) Some language barrier here, at least during our visit and I wouldn't recommend it for people with severe allergies. The pickle mix on the tables was pretty good but very loosely/ poorly covered which was a tad unappealing to us. Definitely a place I would stop at again though given how well spiced the food was and for the fun cultural experience of a roadside dhaba. Very convenient that it's open 24 hours too and located in an area with not many exciting options. The entree options vary some from day to day. On my day off, I was visiting the Main Trade Post store to see some of the selection of jewelry and crystals, and while there Jim who was working helped someone who accidentally walked into the jewelry store and said it's called Outback Pizza because, it's out back. He confirmed that the next day Outback would be having their karaoke from 3-8pm. Some friends and I decided we would check it out after work, and when we arrived around 5:30 the karaoke was indeed happening. It was a pretty decent sized crowd. There's a small dance floor, and the karaoke jockey on stage, the performer joins on the same stage as the KJ. We made our way in, there were several people in the karaoke area eating their pizzas, and the other room has the walk up bar along with more tables and booths as well as tvs that were playing sports. The pricing here is pretty reasonable for the drinks, beer on tap for $5 as well as $6 mixed drinks if you're in the mood to partake. We were there to experience the karaoke, and we ended up having a blast! The KJ Sonny is well known in town, he runs Country Gentlemen Entertainment and KJ's at a few venues in Quartzite. There is a sign up book where you can write your request, and he made sure everyone got a chance on the rotation. At the end of the night he played some songs so we could dance and we left around 9pm and quite a time was had! We made friends with many of the locals and everyone agreed it was such a great time. I highly recommend eating there. One review said it was frozen pizza but you can see when you are ordering that everything is fresh. My husband's complaint was at the bar which I'm not sure is considered outback but they didn't have blueberries for the big blue van beer and they only had plastic cups.

They also have food and a yummy pulled pork sandwich special that they make outside in their yard and you can eat at one of the outside tables. Life is short... get some ice cream at SnowBird's!
