A must do if your in the area and would like to try something for next year. This past 4th of July I attended with several family and friends and enjoyed the music and most of all the food. This park allows you to BBQ with your own,or by using yours. A must do! Its first come to get the best possible view at night for the fireworks. Parking is allowed at the Metro train Station,or you can park inside the venue. Fee is $20.00 Dollars. We came to this large community park to embrace variety in scenery. We were able to walk on many of the sidewalk areas meandering around the perimeter of the park. The tennis courts were open, but the playground and baseball diamond were closed. Overall, there were minimal other visitors to the park as twilight approached. We caught a beautiful sunset and had a really pleasant walk. Plentiful lighting made it possible to finish up our stroll of the grounds after the sun was down. We'll be back for more walking and try different pathways next time.

More shade over the play structures would be nice, as they get very hot on a sunny day. A small fence around the grassy area would also make the park a little safer because it's open to the street. This is a great local park right off of Alamo in Simi Valley. It is small but I don't hold that…read moreagainst it. If you follow the concrete path that curves around the park in a loop it's a third of a mile loop. There are quite a few picnic tables, trash cans, and two drinking fountains. There are no barbecue grills. There is a pretty good set of children's playground equipment as well. There is some elevations so as you walk the path you're going uphill and downhill. In the center is a huge flat area where you will often see soccer teams or baseball teams practicing. There are also quite a few huge old trees so there's good shade when it's hot out. I've been here after dark running laps and have never had a problem with any of the people it seems to be a pretty friendly and safe place. I have also seen the authorities in the form of Park services or whoever driving through the park checking it out several times. The walking path is also lighted with small street light pipe lights but it still gets pretty dark on a dark night.
