The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, and the bathroom was clean and well maintained. Everything felt orderly and taken care of during our stay. If I had to make one complaint, it would be about the furniture in the room. The chairs that were provided were a bit too low for the height of the desk, which made it slightly uncomfortable to sit and work. Aside from that, I had no major issues with the room. I also noticed that the hallways throughout the hotel were very clean, which added to the overall positive impression. The continental breakfast was another highlight and offered the most options out of the three hotels we stayed at during the week. They had scrambled eggs, which unfortunately tasted like they were made from powdered eggs, but they also offered hard boiled eggs, which were very good. There were maple flavored kielbasa sausages for meat, along with waffles, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, and a good selection of pastries such as blueberry muffins and bagels. The variety made it easy to find something enjoyable for anyone. I also appreciated that coffee was available 24/7 near the front desk, which was convenient and meant I did not have to rely only on the continental breakfast area for coffee. One thing I do wish they had offered was regular cold water, since the only option available was hot water for tea.

The only downside was finding a cockroach in my room, which was disappointing. Additionally, the corridor had an old, musty smell. Overall, the location and service were excellent, but the cleanliness could be improved. Also, the breakfast is subpar with very limited option. No hard-boiled egg, bacon offered which is disappointing

We reserved a standard room with two…read morequeen beds, but after checking into Room 225, we noticed multiple features commonly associated with an ADA/accessible room, including a very low sink, grab bars, and a wider bathroom layout. Both my wife and I are nurses, and these features immediately stood out to us. When I raised my concerns, I was repeatedly told it was not an accessible room, despite the room's layout and features. Things got even worse on checkout day. At check-in, the front desk approved a 12:00 p.m. late checkout. However, housekeeping knocked on my door before noon and repeatedly insisted I had to leave at 11:00 a.m. I politely explained that I had been approved for a noon checkout, but she refused to believe me. I had to call the front desk while she stood outside my room just to confirm I was telling the truth. It was embarrassing, unnecessary, and completely unprofessional. I contacted General Manager Malena Gonzalez in good faith, hoping for a fair resolution. Although she later acknowledged that I had been approved for a noon checkout and apologized for the housekeeping misunderstanding, she still refused to offer any goodwill compensation or partial refund despite the overall experience. I have since escalated my concerns to Hotels.com and Choice Hotels Corporate. Customer service is measured by how problems are handled, and unfortunately, this hotel failed in that regard. I cannot recommend this property and will not be returning.

Not the greatest service aside from check in either. We had just come back from a concert, it was late, and there was no other availability at another location close by so we were SOL. Pro tip: I always, always bring my flip flops with me. And I am so glad I do. I refused to put my feet on the filthy floors. There are so many things I can list that were not up to basic standards. If this were a restaurant, it would have been condemned and shut down. A couple issues: - Thick layers of dirt and spider webs on the drapery and walls. - Stained towels and bedding - Items left from in drawers from previous guests - Graffiti on the door frame - No cord on the iron - Broken doors, door frames, holes in walls/doors - Rude overnight and morning staff When we checked out we asked to speak with a manager to discuss the issues. The morning staff was a little aggressive and refused to get a manager or their phone number. We were referred to just call the number on the website. I really hate giving bad reviews but this Days Inn was trash. Hoping they read their customer reviews at some point and make changes to benefit their business.

A little getaway without the getaway. Need a mental reset…read morebut can't commit to a full vacation? A pool day at Morongo is one of my favorite ways to recharge without leaving all my responsibilities behind. I've done this twice now, and both visits have been seamless. Be sure to call ahead and reserve a cabana or daybed they're reasonably priced and well worth it. For an extra discount get your morongo club card before paying for your cabana. Your reservation also includes a snack box stocked with sodas, bottled water, chips, and candy, which is a nice added touch. Once you're settled, you can lounge by the pool or head straight for the lazy river. Floating along with a drink in hand while soaking up the sun is about as relaxing as it gets. The pool staff regularly checks in to see if you need anything, and you can order food and drinks right from your spot. One of the biggest perks is that when you've had enough sun, you can walk right into the casino to try your luck at the slots or table games it's the best of both worlds. A couple of tips: if you have flexibility, visit while school is in session. It's noticeably less crowded, making for a much more relaxing experience. Also, the music can get pretty loud, so conversations with your group may be a little challenging at times. Overall, if you're looking for a fun, affordable staycation or a relaxing day trip, Morongo delivers. It's become one of my favorite escapes when I need a break without actually getting away.

Morongo! Commercial casinos are permitted only in those states that have specifically legalized…read morethem (like Nevada does in Reno and Las Vegas). California has not legalized commercial casinos. So how do Morongo, Yamaava, Agua Caliente and the other California casinos do it? They are all located on Indian lands. Native American tribes can own casinos in certain areas due to tribal sovereignty, which allows federally recognized tribes to operate largely independently of state gambling regulations, so long as they do so on sovereign lands. What's different? Primarily, no Sports Book, and no traditional roulette or craps (they use cards instead of dice or a roulette ball). Also, slot machine payouts are not as transparent as, say, Nevada state gaming laws require. Also, no high end shopping, but the Cabazon outlets are right next door, and El Paseo shopping in Palm Desert is right down the lane. What's the same? Super giant gaming floor with a zillion slots machines from one penny to $500 per pull. There's a fancy steakhouse on top which I will try next time, an AYCE buffet, and a few other restaurants. I have not stayed there, as I am loyal to Bonvoy properties, but everyone in the know says the lazy river cannot be beat. Free parking, though you must hoof it from some distance to the casino door. Fig and lavender infused (LI) goat cheese pizza was excellent. LI mixed drinks were very good, but the LI beer was a bit of a let down. Sour type beer is fine but lacked any lavender smell or taste. Maybe expecting too much. Advice- Use the washrooms in/by the old hotel lobby, avoid the ones on the side of building with the large Pennants saying 'restrooms.'...they are old hotel rooms with storage boxes all over. Note main food vendors by the music stage area but there are boutique vendors at one side of venue by the hotel, with the LI teas, coffees, ice cream etc. Most sell the same stuff ( teas, jams, olive oils, creams, lotions, nic-nacs, etc). Will go back again.

I'm sure a lot has been said already about HIGHLAND SPRINGS' FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS so I'll try not to bore you with a long and lengthy "this is what you can find here". I will try to give some tips though. - Come early. Yes, even before the lights turn on. This is beneficial for avoiding traffic, getting good parking spots, shorter food lines, shorter bathroom lines. - Get your food first. So you can walk off the calories. Also, because most people eat after an activity when they get hungry... and then the line will be super long. - Get whatever lavender they have. Hot cocoa, Latte... - Reserve a s'mores pit. When it's cold, it's the best. - Take pictures of everything everywhere. We consumed the following and they were GREAT! - Smoked Brisket Poutine - Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl - Lavender Latte - Lavender Hot Chocolate
