I was in town for work and stopped at Sunset Nails and Spa for a desperately needed manicure and pedicure. The prices were very fair ($55 for a regular pedicure and color gel manicure). The woman who worked on my nails did a good job. My one frustration is regarding the tipping policy. The signs read that cash tips are greatly appreciated (maybe not be the exact phrasing). I tried to add a tip onto my card and was abruptly told "only cash." I apologized and said I didn't have any cash but would try to find an atm and come back. I had to go to my work event and the salon was closed when my event was over. I am happy to follow policies when clearly stated. If you expect cash in tip, please update your signs. I return to this area for work 2-3 times a year and will probably give them another chance. My nails and toes do look great. read more

They do excellent SNS dip nails, perfectly done, so pretty and natural. I hate my boyish hands and they really girl them up. They can always get me in promptly. Staff is all wearing k95 masks, at least, most with a disposable over. Acrylic barrier between guest and tech, and areas are sprayed and wiped down with disinfectant after they've left. I absolutely recommend getting a service done here. it was quiet, as I went on a Wednesday afternoon. I got a regular pedicure and SNS powder dip with tips. I was drying my toes when the gentleman that did my nails came to check them. he noticed my left hand wasn't as shiny/glossy as my right, and he completely redid the polish without my even noticing the issue in the first place. now THATS quality service. 10 out of 10!! read more

So I'm back once again to post another review, I went to get my nails done this past Thursday and was told by Sophia that she is not going to do my nails so when I asked why she told me first that I don't respect her work but mind you that is my hand that's on their display page, then she said I didn't tip her which is a lie. I might have to rethink this place. Got a new full set and I was charged 10 dollars extra and when I asked why, she said to reshape my nails. She didn't reshape my nails, she shaped them back to what they were before the full set. That's bullshit. Normally I'd say something about paying that extra fee, but I'm just not going back because I can't be bothered with this petty bullshit price gouging for shaping my nails which should be part of a regular part of a manicure. I was a regular customer, but no more. In addition, $70 for a full set is outrageous, as well as 55 for a fill. I'm a $10 tipper and feel this kind of rip-off is uncalled for. Bye bye, Sunset! Is this the fanciest and ritziest of nail salons? No, definitely not. The selection of OPI and Essie colors, along with the prices, are just right. My technician did a fantastic job - my nails did not chip for over a week. She really took her time and because I chose a dark color, she made sure that the polish wasn't all over my cuticles. The only thing I don't understand is why this salon is so stingy with the manicure dryer. It really doesn't take that much electricity! One cycle is not enough either - don't make me jack up my nails, then come back in asking you to fix them. They are open on Sunday, which is a definite plus. Be sure to snag one of the cards: after 10 visits, you get a free manicure. read more

This is the first time i've ever had my nails done professionally. I did the mani/pedi and i have to give this place 2 thumbs up. They are very clean, and everything was fully sterolized and new out of the packages. The technicians don't do idle chit-chatter while you're there. I went with my sister so we DID get to do ours togethers which was good. They do the pedicure first, they do a full exfoliation and massage of your legs before painting your nails, as well as ensure your nails are fully cleaned and cut the way you want them. They also do a hot stone massage on your legs and feet too. Afterwards, they did the manicure and they did a lovely job with doing a design on my nails. I've only had it for 2 days now but they haven't chipped yet. I am notorious for ruining my nails. Overall took about an hour to do everything but the job was well done and looked good. Also known as: Triangle Nails I thought this would be my new go-to place as it's in a great shopping center with plenty of parking that I am now starting to frequent. $25 mani/pedi on MTW. EXCEPT if you have the shellac nail polish. They charged me $5 to soak my nails to get the polish off- and did not inform me until I was ready to pay. Even though I did not get a color on either my toes or fingers- they would not relent. Poor customer service. The $25 special got me into the store and they had an opportunity to wow me. That said, the place is run down and dirty. The pedi chairs have tape on them. I would not go back even if they were $15 man/pedi's . Everything was going fine until the end. Our pedicures were amazing and the woman was nice, until we were about to pay. She gave us an attitude about the $5 off $20 coupon that is ADVERTISED ON THEIR YELP PAGE. Our bill was not cheap - almost $100 for the two of us. We gave a ridiculously generous tip but it clearly wasn't enough when the woman mumbled under her breath and gave us an attitude as soon as we gave it to her. When we said thank you and goodbye she gave us a huge attitude and mumbled under her breath again and then said "yeah yeah bye" Like I said, the pedicures were awesome but the rudeness wasn't acceptable! Hello all!! I have to write a review on the most amazing pedicure I've had in a while!! On Monday of this week, I went to Sunset Nails & Spa to get a pedicure because I was in the area and needed one badly. I walked in and I was immediately greeted by a young man named Mark. He asked me to pick a color and then walked me to the back where the pedicure chairs were. I immediately noticed him cleaning up the basin and then putting a new plastic liner inside it. Then he directed me to the chair and turned on the massage chair for me...HEAVEN!! Then I looked over and saw there was a USB port for customers to charge your devices as you get pedicures...GENIUS!! He asked me which pedicure I wanted and I said basic because I was short on time. He then proceeded to do what the basic pedicure entails but with a twist! He scrubbed my legs and feet with an amazing scrub and then cleaned it off with warm towels. He put a nice oil on my legs and feet and Then my favorite part came next...A HOT STONE MASSAGE!! I was taken back because I'm pretty sure I said basic pedicure but I sure wasn't complaining. This felt heavenly!! After that he finished off by painting my toe nails and giving me a shoulder massage while I was drying my toes! When the bill came...it said $25 and my jaw dropped!! All of that for $25?! I happened to be in the Triangle Shopping Center and saw that the nail salon was under "New Management" so I gave it a try....the technician was as nice as could be and the salon had been totally renovated. However, it was one of the worst manicures I've ever had....she must not have cleaned my nails well after the hand massage and there were bumps on all my nails. Came home, removed the polish and will go to my regular salon over the weekend...Do yourself a favor and save your money. read more
