We got married at Sunset Ranch in September 2025, and it was everything we dreamed of and more. The setting is absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by lush greenery, sweeping views, and a peaceful, romantic atmosphere. Every part of the property felt intentional and special, from the ceremony at Fern's Garden to cocktail hour at Sunset Vista and the reception at Charlie's Pond. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the incredible team behind it all. Ronda and the entire Sunset Ranch Ohana were amazing to work with. They were kind, organized, and so genuine in making sure everything went smoothly. We felt supported throughout the entire planning process and on the wedding day itself, which allowed us to be fully present and enjoy every moment. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful and seamless everything was. It was the perfect mix of natural beauty and thoughtful coordination. We are forever grateful to Sunset Ranch for giving us the most magical day of our lives. If you are getting married in Hawaii, this is the place!

My partner and I got married here in March of 2025. It was such an amazing day and we couldn't be more satisfied with how Sunset Ranch and how they did such an amazing job putting each and tiny bits of elements together to make our big day a huge success. Our guests love every single moment of our wedding day and they complimented our beautiful venue and the amazing service staff for always attending to them. We are from the mainland and wedding planning was not easy. Everything was done remotely. We planned our wedding for 15 months and Ronda was our coordinator. Ronda ensured that she can accommodate time differences, meetings, and answered our emails in a timely manner. She is such an expert and we were so lucky to be assigned to her. She matched us very well with vendors that she thought will bring our vision to life. She told us how we can save some money by eliminating elements we probably won't find useful and we were glad we listened to her. Every vendor that she picked for us did their very best and it proves by showing how much our guests loved everything! The day of our wedding, Ronda was running left and right making sure timeline goes smoothly. Although there was hiccup with following our original timeline (very common in weddings), she made last minute adjustments and everything still went smoothly. She and her team made magic happen! Mahalo Ronda, team and Sunset Ranch! The two of us cannot wait to come back in the future to visit or perhaps as a wedding guests of another lucky couple.

I had my wedding at Sunset Ranch in May 2025 and had the most incredible experience with the venue, the Sunset Ranch staff, and their recommended vendors. Our wedding day turned out exactly as we had planned - it truly was the perfect day and we still can't get over how much fun we had. Booking a wedding venue is a huge decision, so I'm leaving details of my experience in the hope that it helps others! Venue: Sunset Ranch really is the venue of my dreams. We booked our date prior to seeing it in person, but did visit about 6 months before the wedding. We reserved about a year out, and had a few in depth calls with Greg the owner prior to paying our deposit to ensure the venue was the right fit. He spent so much time with us answering all of our questions so we felt confident in our decision. When we finally saw the venue in person, it exceeded all of our expectations - it's even more beautiful in person! If you're worried about rain on the North Shore don't be - the staff knows how to work around rain and a little drizzle makes the venue look even more magical. I love that this is a huge property that feels secluded, yet the space where events take place are close to each other, so things don't feel super spread out. I love that we had access to the entire property all day - major shoutouts to ferns garden for epic ceremony photos, the chapel as a bridal suite, and the outdoor tent by the pond that's a gorgeous spot for the reception. It's so lush and green with gorgeous backdrop views of the ocean that I went light on decor and flowers and everything came out so amazing! Vendors: Sunset Ranch has a list of trusted vendors that we leaned heavily on. We used all package vendors except for the officiant, and only strayed away from the recommended vendor list for photography and videography. Every package vendor we booked was incredible, I trusted SR completely with florist, DJ, catering, etc and none of them disappointed. The florist perfectly captured my vision and more, our guests raved about the food all night long, and the DJ made sure to make my dream come true of keeping guests on the dance floor all night long. The servers and bartenders deserve extra kudos - they were so professional, kind, and on top of everything all night long - they made our event feel so upscale despite it being an outdoor wedding. I also booked recommended vendors for our photo booth and hair and makeup and both were incredible. I would 10/10 recommend each of the vendors we used to any other couple getting married on Oahu. Having vendors pre-selected for us and other recommended vendors to choose from was so helpful for a destination wedding and made planning incredibly straightforward for me. Trust Sunset Ranch - they have the best vendors! Planning: Our wedding wouldn't have been so perfect without Alia, our assigned wedding coordinator who works for Sunset Ranch. I'm a big type A planner and was very organized with all things wedding planning, but Alia made my life so easy. She gave me sheets and templates to fill out, and she followed all my wishes and detailed docs to a t. She's done so many weddings that she was so helpful as a sounding board and gave us so much valuable advice throughout the planning process. She even went above and beyond and let us send decor to her in advance so we had less to travel with. I was especially grateful to Alia in the final weeks and days leading up to our wedding, she handled absolutely everything with vendors and final confirmations, and I didn't have a care in the world. The day of our wedding I was able to fully focus on being a bride - Alia managed every vendor, every minute of the timeline, handled our guests and family, worked around a small bout of rain, cleaned up, and made sure I was in a shuttle along with all my decor and belongings at the end of the night along. Overall: I had my dream wedding at Sunset Ranch and I can't say enough good things about it. I wish everyone had the opportunity to get married at this gorgeous one of a kind venue!

I booked my wedding date at Sunset Ranch 2.5 years ago after falling in love with it online. I had never seen the venue in person, but based on the reviews and the wedding packages, I felt confident that this would be the perfect venue to host my dream wedding. Just a few months after I locked in my date, I found out I was pregnant and would be due just weeks before my original wedding day. I went into full panic mode when I reached out to Ronda, my Sunset Ranch appointed wedding coordinator, to let her know the news. Greg(owner) and Ronda did not let me stress about this and happily moved my date another year out without any further questions asked. Because of this, I was able to prepare for an incredible wedding that exceeded all my expectations. Planning a destination wedding while raising a newborn was something I never thought I would have to do, nor did I know how incredibly difficult it could be. It would have been impossible without Ronda's help and guidance. She went above and beyond and was always honest and transparent about every decision, option, or issue that arose. I love that Sunset Ranch has vendors for almost everything already. It made the wedding planning process so much easier. Any decision between vendors or design elements that I had to make was easy due to Ronda's suggestions. The entire Sunset Ranch team worked seamlessly to make sure my wedding day was amazing. All my guests were in awe and could not say enough great things about the venue and team. The party favors (honey) were a hit as well! My husband and I were pretty bummed when TSA took our bottle on our way back home. The BEST part - nothing beats the natural beauty of the venue / views from the venue. Being able to pause and appreciate all the beauty around us with all our friends and family as we soaked up everything that just happened was incredible. I couldn't be happier about where I chose to get married. If you're a bride that does not want the bridezilla title or to get sucked into picking out every little detail on your own and welcome help/suggestions from seasoned wedding professionals, look no further. Sunset Ranch is an absolutely gorgeous venue, with flexible packages, and a rockstar team to execute your big day. To Ronda - thank you for being more than just a coordinator, but also a friend over the last 2.5 years. You were the perfect coordinator for my rowdy bunch of friends and a great person to talk to when I struggled to find the balance of raising a baby and planning a destination wedding. Thank you for not just treating us as clients, but as family. My wedding party, along with everyone who got to see you kill it on wedding day absolutely adored you. I'm so glad you were my coordinator! I hope to see you the next time we are back in Oahu.

We are so glad we booked Sunset Ranch as our wedding venue! We looked thru every wedding app and searched online for what Oahu had to best offer and we easily fell in love with Sunset Ranch. Having a destination wedding, we were nervous to book a venue without seeing it in person but, future brides/grooms, what you see online is only a million times better in person so let us be the ones to tell you to JUST DO IT! BOOK SUNSET RANCH. It's the ultimate destination venue in Oahu! You have the scenic views of the ocean and the most breathtaking sunset you will ever see! Now onto the details: - Packages: one of its selling point. Having a destination wedding can be very intimidating. We didn't exactly know where to start, what vendors to use, etc. With their packages, you will not have to worry about any of that! - Coordinator: from the moment you secure the venue to the very end of the wedding. Special shoutout to Jonah who was our coordinator. She guided us through this process for almost a year! She truly loves what she does and has such amazing energy! She was realistic with costs, made creative suggestions to help with the budget from the beginning to the end. She went above and beyond with her team especially on our actual wedding day! She made sure we had more than we even asked for! All we had to do was enjoy our wedding day all thru the very last second of it! - Venue Staff: Wow! Our guests couldn't stop talking about them. Thank you to Sheila who took care of my husband and I and made sure all our needs were met from the moment our ceremony was over to the entirety of the reception. Special shoutout to Chryssa also for running around last minute for things we needed for the ceremony! Bar staff - what a great night you gave us! Many moments shared around you and memories to forever remember (or not). AMAZING TEAM! - Caterer: We had Chef Elmer Island Cuisine and we've only heard great things from our guests about our food! Jonah made sure to coordinate our food tasting months before our wedding. Honestly, we couldn't even pick. Everything was so good! Also, that lechon(roasted pig) was the winner of the night! Way to impress many of our guests! - DJ/MC: planning with DJ GabStop made it all so seamless! He sent us an app where he had every part of the wedding organized and all we had to do was answer questions and drop in our song requests! He also took care of our monogram projection, which was a nice little touch to our outdoor tent! - Florals: Wylder Florals. Perfection. Thank you Cortney for being so patient throughout the whole process and for going above and beyond with making all our floral needs so beautiful! Cortney surprised us with some additional arrangements the morning of our wedding and my heart just kept filling up with so much gratitude. Her energy is amazing! We loved everything you created and I am still in awe of how creative you are! - Officiant: Pastor Mark couldn't have been more perfect for our wedding. My jaw dropped when he came in a barong (traditional Filipino top) without us knowing! He was so kind and accommodating with personalizing our ceremony to include traditional and religious aspects to it. Our ceremony was everything we wanted plus more. Thank you Pastor Mark for your guidance, your blessing, and for the perfect start to our marriage. Outstanding EVERYTHING...venue, food, atmosphere, staff...just all in all wonderful. And HUGE shoutout to event coordinator Jonah! My bestie from the mainland wanted to celebrate her 50th in a big way. No bettah way than in the 50th state! There was also this other thing she's been wanting to do...get married. She and her man have been together 20+ years...youngest kid just graduated college...yep, that long. Thing with Filipino events, the guest list can get astronomical. The enormity of their guest list kept their wedding planning at bay. So this birthday party...they decided to keep as a theme, and surprise everyone with a wedding. Jonah is all kinds of AAAAHHHMAZING. During a venue visit, I had brought my niece's Flat Stanley self, Flat Gianna (super fun school project!) to take pictures at the ranch. I mentioned that I wanted to bring Flat Gianna surfing, was thinking of using a ziplock bag to keep her dry. Jonah took Flat Gianna laminated and trimmed her, and making her a wetsuit. Day of the event, Jonah had everything running like clockwork...nothing was amiss. There is so much more to say, but just know you're in good hands with Jonah.

It's a beautiful location with terrible customer service. The way we were treated hardly makes up for the view. Rehearsal runs an hour late getting started because coordinator mismanages the time. We were never greeted by the coordinator -but we were fussed at for being 10 minutes early, told to move our totes from the driveway and warned for no one to drive on the Astro turf-no one intended to. I was not happy that this was the way our family was treated. At 40 minutes after the rehearsal was supposed to start we are greeted by being told how awesome the coordinator is. We had already observed otherwise. Our flower girl's dad picked up flowers from off the precious Astro turf so she could practice and our coordinator threw a fit because had she picked them from a tree, the coordinator would be in big trouble for allowing the grounds to be destroyed -again more focus on her and not the ones paying the bill. Our guests who did not know the 11 month history, were very put off. After a huge speech of how we are not to stress the bride, the coordinator called the bride when we left and "felt like a lot of people were upset with her". Yeah, we were. We just kept our cool because we did not want to upset the bride. We all just tried to make the best of it because we wanted a good day. As if.... After weeks of unsuccessful contact, the final bill was emailed but emailed the day of the rehearsal which too late to accept a check but was required before the wedding. It incurred a large fee bc it could only be paid by credit card. F.As a local, I am ashamed of the lack of aloha. As a person who cares deeply for my family, I wish we'd have never met this coordinator. These are just the things that happened in one day. I can go back over the 11month history and share the stress load, it doesn't get anything back for us, but maybe it will save you the trouble. No one wants to see someone he or she loves treated in such a way. I'll only leave the three things that happened to me or my husband (3 of many) on the day of. 1. It's been hours since and I am still crying. She told the grooms grandparents when to arrive, but not where to wait. My daughter brought them to the venue at the appointed time. Coordinator was not there to meet them to tell them where to go. My daughter tried to call but could not get me because a lot was going on. My daughter found me and popped in to ask where to take the grandparents. Unbeknownst to her, the mother was dressing the bride. It upset the bride. Even so. The only reason this happened was the coordinator was in the room with the videographer watching. The videographer was directing, not the coordinator. Moments before time go to my first look with my son, which she failed to tell me was going to happen. She pulled me aside and told me not to let anyone else in that room because "that girl" messed things up. That girl was at rehearsal and the coordinator never acknowledged her. That girl was my family and that girl was very upset to have stepped into such a moment when no one was around to help her do the task she was assigned. My daughter feels terrible still. Much crying on her part and she doesn't want to bring too much attention to it because it may make things worse. I not only had an unplanned big event that day. I had to go to it shaking and crying not letting anyone know my anger. The only reason my daughter knew where to find me was because the coordinator took everyone to the room during the rehearsal -which had walls of windows and no shades to pull for privacy and said this is where you'll be. Side note, we had to take turns huddling in a corner to not flash the ranch workers as we got dressed. 2. We were never told where to sit when we walked down the aisle. We just walked in and we walked out at rehearsal - no chairs were present at that time. When we were lining up the grooms grandParents did not know where to sit. I got the coordinators attention, because this was a chaotic scene. They were too scared to ask. When I said, I have a question, she loudly huffed and rolled her eyes and demanded to know what. I asked, "What row do they sit in?" She said , "Seconds row. There are name tags on the seat." This is the first we had heard of said name tags. Her name tags were so small we all sat in the wrong place. My daughter in law, aka that girl, had been requested by the bride to sit on the front row- and this was not communicated to her. The brides father sat in the wrong seat. These are not big deals, but after two days of abuse because the coordinator was not, well, coordinating, it was a lot. Continued in photos. .
What a beautiful, secluded, tranquil, intimate, and peaceful venue - until the sun goes down and drinks are flowing! Sunset Ranch is located in Pupukea. Easy to get to. Find Pupukea Road and drive all the way in. It's a little over an hour drive from town - via H2 and through Wahiawa. I attended one of my good friend of 30+ years' wedding and they picked an amazing place. Gorgeous mountain and ocean views. The whole place was only for the wedding with clean, outdoor restrooms, pond, reception area, ceremony, outdoor dining area, bar, special sitting areas, open fields, horse stables and field, garden area, and etc. Everything was clean, neat, and very well maintained. The food was awesome! Had Kale Salad, Braised short ribs, fish, potatoes, Brussels sprouts, etc. Everything was tasty, delicious, warm, and well prepared. The staff were amazing. Even with such a big party, they were very attentive and friendly. Overall, a very, very nice, private place to consider to hold your special events. Clean, well kept areas. Great staff. Solid food. Kid friendly. Handicap accessible. Small kine far, but worth the trip for sure. read more

This venue and this team (especially Jonah) made all of our wedding dreams come true - beyond what we even could have imagined. Not only does this space contain the most incredible energy, but the team at Sunset Ranch transformed the space into a North Shore, jungle, disco dream. The florals, the food, the music, the incredible venue, and the most seamless, stressless planning...I would recommend this location and team 10x over. Every single one of our guests said that it was the most magical, fun, gorgeous wedding they've been to - and that is such a testament to Jonah and her team at Sunset Ranch. Jonah was incredibly helpful in working within our budget and supporting our non-traditional requests, like the QUEEN that she is!!! We will be reliving the day for many months to come. I cannot express how grateful my wife and I are that we chose Sunset Ranch as our wedding venue. We had our wedding this past weekend, and everything that was promised to us from the very start was not only fulfilled but exceeded our expectations. We were exceptionally lucky to have our coordinator, Ronda, who was the best person to work with throughout the entire process. Since we live all the way on the East Coast, having someone like Ronda assist us through every step of the planning process really put us at ease. The more we worked with her, the more we began to feel at ease that everything would turn out perfectly. She guided us tremendously and answered all of our questions in a timely and communicative manner. We truly felt blessed to have her. And of course, the day of the wedding went so smoothly thanks to the entire Sunset Ranch staff. All of their coordinators were on top of their responsibilities, and everything ran seamlessly. We had our wedding here recently and we were very happy we did! We had rain on the day but the team at SR made our day seamless and comfortable for both our guests and for us. Location is beautiful, secluded and we had the whole space to ourselves. Their packages made planning the wedding so easy especially when you are not local. Our coordinator Jonah smoothly handled all the bumps that came up on the wedding day and made the day stress free for us. caterers, servers, floral team and DJ were all amazing! read more

Our experience with sunset ranch was absolutely incredible. They made the whole process of planning a wedding bearable and the event was so incredibly beautiful and went smoothly. This is the MOST incredible venue. We cannot thank Jonah and her team enough-- they are so so special to us and thought of EVERYTHING and when we hit mini snags (like my veil being stepped on and ripped out and my hair getting messed up with it), the team quickly problem solved and fixed everything. I am so grateful to everything they've done to make this the BEST day for me and my now husband! read more

Sunset Ranch was an incredible venue, and the perfect place for our wedding. The views were beautiful, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how amazing the property was. We loved Greg, the owner. From the first tour, we knew Sunset Ranch was the right choice. He's warm, professional, and clearly cares about the property. His pride and attention to detail gave us confidence from the start. The staff made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Alia...what can I say about Alia. Honestly, Alia deserves a review all to herself, but this one will have to do. She is a gem. She went above and beyond. She anticipated everything we needed, kept things organized, and made the day feel effortless. She treated us like family. She's a big reason Sunset Ranch will always mean so much to us. We will never forget her. The property itself added to the experience. The horses on the grounds were such a peaceful experience. As a Type A person and someone who plans programs for a living, attention to detail is everything to me. I took notes of every meeting we had and made sure everything was set up for success. I share this background to give some insight on the three star review. We booked Sunset Ranch sight unseen after speaking with the owner about the venue. We met with our coordinator and visited the venue two months after securing the venue. The venue is stunning and they had the sail cloth tent and turf put in before our wedding date, which made it even better. We chose Sunset Ranch because for the most part, it is all inclusive. They have preferred vendors and on site venue coordinators. The only thing that isn't included is hair and makeup, photography and videography, and other extras. This made it so much easier for us since we live out of state. With that, my expectations were really high since there was a process in place (forms, google drive, email correspondence) and meetings leading up to the wedding date. 1. When we first meet with our coordinator in 2023, it was mentioned to us that the favors were included in the standard package. Fast forward to a month or so before our wedding, we asked to have those favors via email and confirmed. I put where it should be on the items list that was asked to be created. Day of, the favors were not there. We mentioned the favors to our bridal party prior and they noticed it was missing and was confused if we opted not to have them. 2. When we first met with our coordinator in 2023, she showed us photos of different colored linens to choose from for napkins. We chose the natural linens because it fit our decor and matched our wedding colors. Again, we put it on the tablescape for items that I shared. The linens were not natural linen and were white instead. 3. There was miscommunication and we had to correct the invoice. If we didn't have a keen eye, this could've easily been missed. 4. Not all of our items made it back with us :( I made a few linen signs with the intention of repurposing them in our home. Unfortunately, we didn't get our bar sign back. Which, we were a little sad about but we understand it happens. 5. This one is the biggest one. We had to have our rehearsal two days before our wedding date because they had an event the day before. We were assured that our dresses, decor, and everything would be fine. We were even told not to bring our rings or other valuables, but to bring everything else including what we would wear the day of the wedding. I was hesitant at first and asked if we really should bring our dresses and was reassured it would be fine. I chose to leave my ballgown wedding dress at home to bring the day of, but brought my second wedding dress to Sunset Ranch. Come wedding morning, my garment bag had black streaks on it, as if it were dragged or something filthy rubbed onto it. My mom was upset and brought it up, but was kind of brushed off. It was my wedding morning so I really couldn't do much either. We took my dress out and some of those streaks went through the garment bag onto my white wedding dress! It was minimal and toward the bottom of the dress, but still a disappointment after putting so much trust into them. My wedding party didn't have their garment bag ruined so how the only bag in the bridal garment bag got ruined, I'm not sure. Now these were the misses, but I do also want to acknowledge how incredible and kind the team was. Almost everything was set up how I pictured it and I appreciated the effort they put into making sure the flow was seamless and that the decor and set up fit with my vibe. It rained/poured twice on our wedding day and their ability to pivot and make sure everything still looked good was incredible. Our coordinator also had incredible suggestions to elevate our day and that didn't go unnoticed. The team sets up and breaks down the venue and packages everything up for you to take home at the end of the night. There are a ton of perks of having your wedding at Sunset Ranch. Full transparency we shared these insights and feedback with our planner the day after as well. Obviously our wedding day is over now and although it wasn't as perfect as can be regarding details, we were in the moment celebrating our love and nothing could've ruined our day. read more

I had my wedding at Sunset Ranch in May 2025 and had the most incredible experience with the venue, the Sunset Ranch staff, and their recommended vendors. Our wedding day turned out exactly as we had planned - it truly was the perfect day and we still can't get over how much fun we had. Booking a wedding venue is a huge decision, so I'm leaving details of my experience in the hope that it helps others! Venue: Sunset Ranch really is the venue of my dreams. We booked our date prior to seeing it in person, but did visit about 6 months before the wedding. We reserved about a year out, and had a few in depth calls with Greg the owner prior to paying our deposit to ensure the venue was the right fit. He spent so much time with us answering all of our questions so we felt confident in our decision. When we finally saw the venue in person, it exceeded all of our expectations - it's even more beautiful in person! If you're worried about rain on the North Shore don't be - the staff knows how to work around rain and a little drizzle makes the venue look even more magical. I love that this is a huge property that feels secluded, yet the space where events take place are close to each other, so things don't feel super spread out. I love that we had access to the entire property all day - major shoutouts to ferns garden for epic ceremony photos, the chapel as a bridal suite, and the outdoor tent by the pond that's a gorgeous spot for the reception. It's so lush and green with gorgeous backdrop views of the ocean that I went light on decor and flowers and everything came out so amazing! Vendors: Sunset Ranch has a list of trusted vendors that we leaned heavily on. We used all package vendors except for the officiant, and only strayed away from the recommended vendor list for photography and videography. Every package vendor we booked was incredible, I trusted SR completely with florist, DJ, catering, etc and none of them disappointed. The florist perfectly captured my vision and more, our guests raved about the food all night long, and the DJ made sure to make my dream come true of keeping guests on the dance floor all night long. The servers and bartenders deserve extra kudos - they were so professional, kind, and on top of everything all night long - they made our event feel so upscale despite it being an outdoor wedding. I also booked recommended vendors for our photo booth and hair and makeup and both were incredible. I would 10/10 recommend each of the vendors we used to any other couple getting married on Oahu. Having vendors pre-selected for us and other recommended vendors to choose from was so helpful for a destination wedding and made planning incredibly straightforward for me. Trust Sunset Ranch - they have the best vendors! Planning: Our wedding wouldn't have been so perfect without Alia, our assigned wedding coordinator who works for Sunset Ranch. I'm a big type A planner and was very organized with all things wedding planning, but Alia made my life so easy. She gave me sheets and templates to fill out, and she followed all my wishes and detailed docs to a t. She's done so many weddings that she was so helpful as a sounding board and gave us so much valuable advice throughout the planning process. She even went above and beyond and let us send decor to her in advance so we had less to travel with. I was especially grateful to Alia in the final weeks and days leading up to our wedding, she handled absolutely everything with vendors and final confirmations, and I didn't have a care in the world. The day of our wedding I was able to fully focus on being a bride - Alia managed every vendor, every minute of the timeline, handled our guests and family, worked around a small bout of rain, cleaned up, and made sure I was in a shuttle along with all my decor and belongings at the end of the night along. Overall: I had my dream wedding at Sunset Ranch and I can't say enough good things about it. I wish everyone had the opportunity to get married at this gorgeous one of a kind venue! read more

I booked my wedding date at Sunset Ranch 2.5 years ago after falling in love with it online. I had never seen the venue in person, but based on the reviews and the wedding packages, I felt confident that this would be the perfect venue to host my dream wedding. Just a few months after I locked in my date, I found out I was pregnant and would be due just weeks before my original wedding day. I went into full panic mode when I reached out to Ronda, my Sunset Ranch appointed wedding coordinator, to let her know the news. Greg(owner) and Ronda did not let me stress about this and happily moved my date another year out without any further questions asked. Because of this, I was able to prepare for an incredible wedding that exceeded all my expectations. Planning a destination wedding while raising a newborn was something I never thought I would have to do, nor did I know how incredibly difficult it could be. It would have been impossible without Ronda's help and guidance. She went above and beyond and was always honest and transparent about every decision, option, or issue that arose. I love that Sunset Ranch has vendors for almost everything already. It made the wedding planning process so much easier. Any decision between vendors or design elements that I had to make was easy due to Ronda's suggestions. The entire Sunset Ranch team worked seamlessly to make sure my wedding day was amazing. All my guests were in awe and could not say enough great things about the venue and team. The party favors (honey) were a hit as well! My husband and I were pretty bummed when TSA took our bottle on our way back home. The BEST part - nothing beats the natural beauty of the venue / views from the venue. Being able to pause and appreciate all the beauty around us with all our friends and family as we soaked up everything that just happened was incredible. I couldn't be happier about where I chose to get married. If you're a bride that does not want the bridezilla title or to get sucked into picking out every little detail on your own and welcome help/suggestions from seasoned wedding professionals, look no further. Sunset Ranch is an absolutely gorgeous venue, with flexible packages, and a rockstar team to execute your big day. To Ronda - thank you for being more than just a coordinator, but also a friend over the last 2.5 years. You were the perfect coordinator for my rowdy bunch of friends and a great person to talk to when I struggled to find the balance of raising a baby and planning a destination wedding. Thank you for not just treating us as clients, but as family. My wedding party, along with everyone who got to see you kill it on wedding day absolutely adored you. We are so glad we booked Sunset Ranch as our wedding venue! We looked thru every wedding app and searched online for what Oahu had to best offer and we easily fell in love with Sunset Ranch. Having a destination wedding, we were nervous to book a venue without seeing it in person but, future brides/grooms, what you see online is only a million times better in person so let us be the ones to tell you to JUST DO IT! BOOK SUNSET RANCH. It's the ultimate destination venue in Oahu! You have the scenic views of the ocean and the most breathtaking sunset you will ever see! Now onto the details: - Packages: one of its selling point. Having a destination wedding can be very intimidating. We didn't exactly know where to start, what vendors to use, etc. With their packages, you will not have to worry about any of that! - Coordinator: from the moment you secure the venue to the very end of the wedding. Special shoutout to Jonah who was our coordinator. She guided us through this process for almost a year! She truly loves what she does and has such amazing energy! She was realistic with costs, made creative suggestions to help with the budget from the beginning to the end. She went above and beyond with her team especially on our actual wedding day! She made sure we had more than we even asked for! All we had to do was enjoy our wedding day all thru the very last second of it! - Venue Staff: Wow! Our guests couldn't stop talking about them. Thank you to Sheila who took care of my husband and I and made sure all our needs were met from the moment our ceremony was over to the entirety of the reception. Jonah made sure to coordinate our food tasting months before our wedding. Honestly, we couldn't even pick. Everything was so good! Also, that lechon(roasted pig) was the winner of the night! Way to impress many of our guests! - DJ/MC: planning with DJ GabStop made it all so seamless! He sent us an app where he had every part of the wedding organized and all we had to do was answer questions and drop in our song requests! He also took care of our monogram projection, which was a nice little touch to our outdoor tent! - Florals: Wylder Florals. Perfection. Thank you Cortney for being so patient throughout the whole process and for going above and beyond with making all our floral needs so beautiful! Cortney surprised us with some additional arrangements the morning of our wedding and my heart just kept filling up with so much gratitude. Her energy is amazing! We loved everything you created and I am still in awe of how creative you are! - Officiant: Pastor Mark couldn't have been more perfect for our wedding. My jaw dropped when he came in a barong (traditional Filipino top) without us knowing! Outstanding EVERYTHING...venue, food, atmosphere, staff...just all in all wonderful. And HUGE shoutout to event coordinator Jonah! My bestie from the mainland wanted to celebrate her 50th in a big way. No bettah way than in the 50th state! There was also this other thing she's been wanting to do...get married. She and her man have been together 20+ years...youngest kid just graduated college...yep, that long. Thing with Filipino events, the guest list can get astronomical. The enormity of their guest list kept their wedding planning at bay. So this birthday party...they decided to keep as a theme, and surprise everyone with a wedding. Jonah is all kinds of AAAAHHHMAZING. During a venue visit, I had brought my niece's Flat Stanley self, Flat Gianna (super fun school project!) to take pictures at the ranch. I mentioned that I wanted to bring Flat Gianna surfing, was thinking of using a ziplock bag to keep her dry. Jonah took Flat Gianna laminated and trimmed her, and making her a wetsuit. Day of the event, Jonah had everything running like clockwork...nothing was amiss. There is so much more to say, but just know you're in good hands with Jonah. read more

We are so happy that we picked Sunset Ranch for our big day! We're based in Seattle so we needed someone who could help us plan remotely. Ronda was absolutely amazing, she was able to guide us through every detail of wedding planning and built our confidence in party planning along the way. She made planning a destination wedding feel effortless. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, the perfect blend of Hawaii's tropical beauty and wedding-esque grandeur. Our family and friends from both Hawaii and mainland were impressed. It was a little pricier than other places we were looking at but ultimately worth the price. On the wedding day, we didn't have to worry about a single thing. Ronda and her team kept everything running perfectly and if there were any issues they handled them behind the scenes because we never knew they existed. It's a beautiful location with terrible customer service. The way we were treated hardly makes up for the view. Rehearsal runs an hour late getting started because coordinator mismanages the time. We were never greeted by the coordinator -but we were fussed at for being 10 minutes early, told to move our totes from the driveway and warned for no one to drive on the Astro turf-no one intended to. I was not happy that this was the way our family was treated. At 40 minutes after the rehearsal was supposed to start we are greeted by being told how awesome the coordinator is. We had already observed otherwise. Our flower girl's dad picked up flowers from off the precious Astro turf so she could practice and our coordinator threw a fit because had she picked them from a tree, the coordinator would be in big trouble for allowing the grounds to be destroyed -again more focus on her and not the ones paying the bill. Our guests who did not know the 11 month history, were very put off. After a huge speech of how we are not to stress the bride, the coordinator called the bride when we left and "felt like a lot of people were upset with her". Yeah, we were. We just kept our cool because we did not want to upset the bride. We all just tried to make the best of it because we wanted a good day. As if.... After weeks of unsuccessful contact, the final bill was emailed but emailed the day of the rehearsal which too late to accept a check but was required before the wedding. It incurred a large fee bc it could only be paid by credit card. F.As a local, I am ashamed of the lack of aloha. As a person who cares deeply for my family, I wish we'd have never met this coordinator. These are just the things that happened in one day. I can go back over the 11month history and share the stress load, it doesn't get anything back for us, but maybe it will save you the trouble. No one wants to see someone he or she loves treated in such a way. I'll only leave the three things that happened to me or my husband (3 of many) on the day of. 1. It's been hours since and I am still crying. She told the grooms grandparents when to arrive, but not where to wait. My daughter brought them to the venue at the appointed time. Coordinator was not there to meet them to tell them where to go. My daughter tried to call but could not get me because a lot was going on. My daughter found me and popped in to ask where to take the grandparents. Unbeknownst to her, the mother was dressing the bride. It upset the bride. Even so. The only reason this happened was the coordinator was in the room with the videographer watching. The videographer was directing, not the coordinator. Moments before time go to my first look with my son, which she failed to tell me was going to happen. She pulled me aside and told me not to let anyone else in that room because "that girl" messed things up. That girl was at rehearsal and the coordinator never acknowledged her. That girl was my family and that girl was very upset to have stepped into such a moment when no one was around to help her do the task she was assigned. My daughter feels terrible still. Much crying on her part and she doesn't want to bring too much attention to it because it may make things worse. I not only had an unplanned big event that day. I had to go to it shaking and crying not letting anyone know my anger. The only reason my daughter knew where to find me was because the coordinator took everyone to the room during the rehearsal -which had walls of windows and no shades to pull for privacy and said this is where you'll be. Side note, we had to take turns huddling in a corner to not flash the ranch workers as we got dressed. 2. We were never told where to sit when we walked down the aisle. We just walked in and we walked out at rehearsal - no chairs were present at that time. When we were lining up the grooms grandParents did not know where to sit. I got the coordinators attention, because this was a chaotic scene. They were too scared to ask. When I said, I have a question, she loudly huffed and rolled her eyes and demanded to know what. I asked, "What row do they sit in?" She said , "Seconds row. There are name tags on the seat." This is the first we had heard of said name tags. Her name tags were so small we all sat in the wrong place. My daughter in law, aka that girl, had been requested by the bride to sit on the front row- and this was not communicated to her. The brides father sat in the wrong seat. These are not big deals, but after two days of abuse because the coordinator was not, well, coordinating, it was a lot. Continued in photos. . read more

My son's wedding to his beautiful bride, now our daughter in law, was one of the most magical events I have been to! The feedback from family and friends has been 100% positive. The bride herself, had her wedding day "wishes come true" (her words exactly). The venue is stunning in itself, and we lucked out with lovely weather. Weddings are a lot of work, though. From day one, our coordinator, Ronda, helped with all the details. She had insights and suggestions from decor and logistics down to timelines that proved invaluable. She kept the kids on track with decision making, and made herself available throughout the process. Communication was clear at every step. Problems with getting the flowers they had originally wanted was handled (the florals turned out perfect), and the day of wedding timeline went smoothly ( and yes...the bride was a little late, of course!). The staff was professional and courteous. This was a special milestone day for our family, all the planning paid off and we are very pleased. read more

Sunset Ranch is an absolute dream venue! I got married at Sunset Ranch last month and could not be more happy with how everything turned out. I live in California and wanted to host our wedding in Hawaii. After doing some browsing online, I stumbled across Sunset Ranch and ended up booking solely based on the pictures online. I am happy to say, the venue is 100 times prettier in person. We ended up booking the signature package and so glad that we did because it made planning so much easier. All of the package vendors exceeded our expectations. The package came with a coordinator that helped with all of my questions leading up to the wedding as well as taking care of everything the day of. Laurie was assigned as my coordinator and I am so thankful for all of her help. She took care of everything! My wedding day was stress free and perfect. We decided to utilize all of the ranch for our wedding day. The ceremony was hosted at the Fern Garden. Cocktail hour was hosted at Charlie's Pond with lawn games and live music and our reception was hosted in the Sunset Stables. Getting to use all of the different event spaces really added to our guest experience. All of the spaces were unique and spectacular. It has been exactly a month since our big day and all of our guests are still raving about their day at Sunset Ranch. We have had so many guests day that it was the best wedding they have ever been to and we would like to thank Sunset Ranch and it's staff for that. read more
I wish there was an infinite amount of stars to give Sunset Ranch. I don't even know where to begin because everyone and everything that makes Sunset Ranch is what creates the magic. Being from the mainland, I wanted to have my wedding somewhere that would represent who we (me and my new husband) are and bring awareness and beauty of the islands. To be fair they had their hands full with me. I was inviting my guests to Hawaii to celebrate my 50th bday but there would be a change of plans... they wouldn't know until they arrived it was my/our surprise wedding. This is no easy task, and JONAH was the chosen one! It took a single phone call with Jonah and quick trip to see Sunset Ranch that we knew this was the place. Then after speaking to GREG and talking story with him just made me/us fall in love more. We were drawn to the property not only for its beauty but also the story behind it all... Mālama ka 'aina, family and community. I think it was fate that the stars aligned to bring Jonah into our lives to help plan our wedding as this was 20+years in the making. Yes, we have been together that long. Let's just say we took the scenic route. Wouldn't have wanted it any other way... that's another story for another time. JONAH is and will always be my girl! I honestly am not sure what I contributed to the planning because Jonah ran with my dream wedding theme and I do believe all I had to do was say Ok. From our first call and to our first meeting it was such the perfect fit that I knew I didn't have to worry about a thing. I didn't feel the need to hire any other wedding planner vendor, she was on top of everything! HER TEAM Was unbelievable! They were so attentive and met every need. It was like they were everywhere and yet very ninja-ish. They were ahead of everything that could possibly be needed. I've been to a lot of weddings and been part of many... and I'm not being bias BUT they were all DAMN awesome! You can say I was clueless if anything went wrong which I'm pretty sure nothing did. And even if it did, at that point who cares! The VENDORS - I'll be reviewing them individually but just like Sunset Ranch.. more than 5 stars. Sunset Ranch .. thank you for making my 50th birthday and wedding the most memorable for us and our guests! Five star views, one star customer service.... I set my expectations high after my first initial call with the owner of the ranch and sadly my expectations were never met. Even after my wedding. I was assigned a coordinator Ronda, shortly after booking and signing a contract and paying initial payment. It took Ronda a week to reach out to me and send me the "Congratulations Packet" after my first payment. If you're anything like me, a planner, first time bride and just excited to be planning a wedding in Hawaii a week felt like a LONG time. Especially when a "Congratulations Packet" should always be put together and be ready to send to brides after they sign a contract. But just wait because little did I know this was just the start of how unprepared and careless Ronda is to details. Oh by the way, she was late to our first call. Not 2-3 minutes late. 20 minutes late. I thought I had the date wrong. She can also be condescending. I remember I filled out the questionnaire that she sent. (Part of the packet) During the call she kept saying "why would you do this? Brides don't do this anymore. They don't save their cake. They don't save their bouquet." Okay, then maybe take it off your questionnaire that you are sending in your congratulations packet. I remember leaving the first call feeling so stupid and like I had no idea what I was doing. Fast forward- calls were set up every 2 months. For the duration of my wedding planning calls she continued to ask me the same questions on each call. I would answer them each time with the same answer as before. It got to the point that my husband was noticing this. The lack of detail and care on her part is so poor. It's obvious you are either not a priority to her or she is not good at her job. And good luck getting her to respond to your emails. It took her over 4 weeks to get back to me 3 months out from the wedding after she had sent me an invoice to review. Again, HORRIBLE customer service. Especially for what you are paying! Fast forward to our rehearsal day. All of our wedding worksheets were filled out. I'm VERY organized and had made sure she had ALL of the information she needed. We also had a very small wedding party. (Best man and maid of honor, parents and 1 set of grandparents). I had filled out a processional worksheet and sent it to her (60 days out) as she requested with everyone's names, how they should walk down the aisle, what songs to play, etc. Day of rehearsal she is still asking me what my parents names are. Who knows if she looked at the worksheet that she wanted me to fill out. (She made sure to tell me several times she get 300 emails a day.) so who knows. Again- brides clearly aren't a priority. She made my family feel horrible the day of the rehearsal. I'm leaving several details out for length of review but truly it was horrible. The day of the wedding so many details were missed. I ordered special leis from the florist for our parents and Best Man and Maid of Honor and then traditional orchid leis for our guests. She knew that wedding guests were to have the orchid leis. I go to walk down the aisle and notice that parents of the groom/Best Man have both leis on while brides parents only have on the other leis. Again, no attention to detail. A song was entirely skipped from the processional. Remember the processional and the music worksheet you are having to fill out and send in at 60 days? No attention to detail. She blatantly ignored that I did not want a tip jar on the bar. I told her this from the very first call. That I would tip the bartender. I did not want my guests to fill obligated to tip. It was even in the timeline in bold- no tip jar. Again, no attention to detail. But she wants a tip. She asked for the tips on our arrival ON REHEARSAL DAY, before any service was ever extended. She would take charge and distribute them. You think about that. Post wedding ceremony, her tip was given to her. Her expected tip gave us a range of 400-800. We were in the range, sadly. After delivery of tip, she made my mom feel horrible. My mom gave her the tip at the end of the night and instead of a thank you she said "did you tip the other staff or am I supposed to share" of course we did. How rude. How condescending. Still never a polite simple thank you. The other staff and ALL the other vendors (who I will gladly give 5 star yelp reviews) MADE our night. They were amazing. Unfortunately- Ronda ruined it. Oh, and do not expect your gift from Sunset Ranch that they advertise to you as part of the Signature Packet. (That you are PAYING for) They will not give it to you. Again-- where is the attention to detail from your coordinator? Oh wait she has none. I didn't get it. I brought this up to Greg after all of this. He told me he'd "ship" it to me but after all this I don't really want a tote bag now to be reminded of Sunset Ranch. read more

I love this ranch!! The people are awesome and the grounds are so pristine with a beautiful fountain and other beautiful outdoor places you will have a hard time leaving this place. So very peaceful!! I go to the ranch for the horses!! They have the best horses!! They have a wonderful temperament And you can tell they have been very well taken care of to the point where they are spoiled!! LOL they deserve it!! I love one particular Horse there. He is very near and dear to my heart. I look forward to our rides every week!! read more

We just got back from the best day of our lives. My husband and I had the honor of having Alia as our wedding planner. The pictures do not do the venue justice. It was even more breathtaking in real life. We were completely stress free throughout the entire process. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for Alia and the whole team. I was able to reach her at any time and she replied so promptly. The staff was so, so, so, so, so kind - I can't stress this enough! Our entire vision coming to fruition was so magical. Alia did it all with so much professionalism, poise, and patience. My parents and I sat down during breakfast the following day unpacking how unbelievably calm she was throughout the whole day. She guided us through the whole process and kept us on track throughout the whole night of the wedding without making us feel rushed or shorted in any area. When it was time to leave, the whole shuttle was packed up, we had food to-go for the bride and groom, and everything we brought was there. We did not worry about a single thing. I am so sad that my time as a bride has come to an end. Which means I will no longer have to text Alia for random questions or thoughts. When I say it was the best day of our lives, I really mean it. We couldn't have picked a better venue. read more

"You look very relaxed for having a wedding in 12 days" "The food was really good a lot of people are getting seconds" "This was by far the funnest wedding I've been to, the DJ was awesome" "You guys set the bar for outdoor weddings" "the photos do not do justice for this view!" "I grabbed a business card in case my daughter ever gets married" Just a handful of the many compliments I received after my wedding. Ronda was my coordinator and she took care of EVERYTHING! This was so different from the traditional weddings my 7 older siblings had and it turned out incredibly wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better detail on anything. I had big last minute changes, forgotten some items, no idea on how some things would be sorted, but Ronda took care of all of it. Also I worried about making all of my guests fly out here from CA to attend my wedding but I don't think they mind anymore! Sorry for the long review, I could keep going. All in all, I had a nicer wedding than I had anticipated and I plan to come back for an anniversary celebration without question. read more

I couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue than Sunset Ranch! Everyone from our wedding coordinator to our waiting staff gave us the best service and did an amazing job of giving us the best day of our lives. I have never seen a venue so organized and seamless. The fact that this venue gives you a wedding coordinator, makes a world of difference. Alia made sure everything was perfect for our wedding day and made it so that we didn't stress about a single thing. She was super tedious by helping out with the timeline and coordinating all of the vendors. Not only were we happy with the quality of service, but the venue was absolutely gorgeous! We weren't able to see it beforehand as we live out of state, but right as we walked in, it took our breath away. Everything was newly renovated and so clean. We had our ceremony at Fern's Garden and our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it was. The photos came out beautifully and we wish we could relive all of it again. read more

My husband and I could rave about this venue all day! Let's just say, Sunset Ranch knows how to make your wedding unforgettable!!! My husband and I and all of our guests had the absolute MOST amazing time. I can't tell you how many compliments we received from all of our friends and family on the wedding, Sunset Ranch, and their incredible team. We booked the venue sight unseen. It's a long story but we only had 4.5 months to pull our 80 person wedding together and they made everything happen perfectly! Luckily, Alia (who was our coordinator but there are a few) was available every step of the way to answer all of our questions and point us in the right direction even for things that were not connected to the actual wedding day at Sunset Ranch but were part of our wedding weekend. For example, we coordinated a private yoga event through one of her connections and we planned a beach day where she had a great suggestion for rentals for that. The venue is beautiful in and of itself and once all of the wedding decor comes in it is truly SPECTACULAR. It transforms from being naturally beautiful to this combination of elegant/glamorous/natural/magical beauty. Sunset Ranch - Thank you so, so, SO much for all your work with us these past few months. All that planning and the wedding itself went by so quickly it feels like a dream. Thanks again for an amazing experience!!! read more

My son and daughter-in-law was married at Sunset Ranch yesterday and believe me when I tell you this wedding was THE BEST WEDDING I HAVE BEEN TO. I have lived on Oahu my entire life and have never been to Sunset Ranch. The views are absolutely breathtaking and is worth the long drive. My very first interaction was with Ronda, wedding coordinator and she was a joy to talk to as she explained a few important details to me. She was welcoming and very pleasant. Ronda literally took care of every detail and made sure everything went off without a hitch. Hat's off to Ronda and her staff for making my son's & my daughter-in-law's wedding perfect! Ronda deserves a raise for all her hard work. She is absolutely AMAZING!!! My family has not stopped raving about the venue and it's breathtaking views. My now wife and I have been working with Alia and Greg at Sunset Ranch from early 2020 to have a successful wedding on 12/11/2021. Alia was an amazing coordinator and we highly recommend her, her team, and Sunset Ranch as a venue and here are a few reasons why: First, trust us when we say that Sunset Ranch as a venue is absolutely stunning and there is no place on Oahu (or in Hawaii) quite like it. It was entirely worth the drive and some extra coordination of shuttles to hold our event there, and we have zero regrets! Second, they allow you to customize as much or as little as you like, making it easy on the couple. We ended up choosing a package which really took the heavy lifting off of us, and were still able to customize many pieces such as our own flowers and officiant, to make our wedding our own. We were able to include our dog in our wedding as our Dog of Honor / Ring Bear-er, which was something no other venue could offer, but was so important and special to us. And finally, Alia has been nothing but professional and a pillar of support, giving us reassurance and guidance as the state went through its various stages of the pandemic, along with the many usual trials and tribulations of regular wedding planning. I'm sure if we weren't in the middle of a pandemic they would have still been great, but Alia went over and beyond to ease our fears as the state and county went through lockdown, tiered reopening, continued shutdown of weddings, to reopening again, and finally quickly pivoting the site of our reception from outdoor to indoor due to heavy rains, adjusting to late vendors, and basically doing what coordinators do to take as much off of the bride/ groom as possible on their wedding day. We can't even convey how grateful we are to Alia to have met her and worked with her for the past year. We highly recommend Alia and Sunset Ranch to any couple who wants a similar experience and a beautiful, stress free, and memorable wedding day. read more

Brides/Grooms and other event planners looking for a venue should look no further! Not only is Sunset Ranch gorgeous with top notch views and ambiance, but the management and staff are THE BEST AROUND! Here's our story: we were attending a wedding here (as a guest) and unfortunately just minutes before the ceremony I started to feel ill. The staff and Rhonda were quick to identify my situation and were very quick to take us off to the side and help me out. I was immediately given a chair, and since I was feeling lightheaded due to low blood sugar, the chair was quickly followed up with snacks to eat and some juice. We were checked up on and even moved to a separate room on property so I could suffer discreetly! When we had to make the unfortunate decision to leave the wedding early, they helped me and my husband find a mode of transportation to get back to our AirBnb at Turtle Bay; Ubers aren't as abundant as they are in town! From beginning to end, Rhonda and her crew saw to it that we were taken care of thoroughly and respectfully, and we were just a random guest! It's one thing to want to cater and bend over backwards to the bride/groom and wedding party, which I'm sure they did a marvelous job doing, but I was just a single guest at a wedding with hundreds of people. Brides/grooms and event planners, if you want a place that will take care not only you but YOUR PEOPLE, your loved ones that you invite to be with you on your special day, look no further because this place is it. Rhonda if you're reading this, please know how much we appreciated your care and personal touch. We absolutely loved our wedding experience at Sunset Ranch!!! We chose this particular wedding venue because it's a breathtaking property on the North Shore of Oahu with gorgeous mountain and ocean views. We particularly liked the different wedding packages to choose from, as well as the option to tailor a few things. We also appreciated that our wedding was the only event booked for the entire day, so it provided a sense of privacy and intimacy as well. Our wedding coordinator, Alia, was very helpful and knowledgeable throughout the entire wedding planning process. We highly recommend her! Sunset Ranch has a very rustic and earthy feel to it, so it paired nicely with the overall theme of our wedding. Most amazing wedding my bride or myself could have ever imagined. We are terrible at planning, and Ronda made it easy. She is an incredible wedding planner, and we are so proud to have gotten married at our home in Hawaii. It is arguably the most beautiful place on earth. An amazing day that we will never forget. Tours & Events We host tours and events in the interest of education and Financial Sustainability. Contact us for an educational brochure, event brochure, or to schedule a Zoom Meeting or Site Visit. Farming Sunset Ranch is working hard to model Food Sustainability in Hawaii. We have established a 60-tree avocado orchard, a 60-tree lychee orchard, a 50,000 gallon aquaculture site, and two apiaries. While some food is integrated into our menu offering, most is donated to food banks around Oahu in partnership with Aloha Harvest. Gardens & Forest Restoration The botanical gardens at Sunset Ranch are home to a variety of flora and fauna. In the spirit of Community Sustainability, we propagate native Hawaiian species and have partnered with Hi'ipaka to eradicate invasives and plant natives in Waimea Valley. Therapeutic Horsemanship Sunset Ranch has a 12-acre horse pasture, a 10,000 square foot arena and a 14-stall stable for our current horse family. In the interest of Community Sustainability, we provide horse therapy programs to families who have children with a serious life illness.

I couldn't wait to share this with you yelper wedding venue shoppers who are looking at Sunset Ranch Hawaii as a location to host your special day. We just signed our contract and booked a top of the line Signature Package at Sunset Ranch for our wedding Spring of 2019, and couldn't be more thrilled with our interactions with a star employee. After spending hours researching & three weeks touring Ranch style wedding venues all across the Hawaiian Islands, THIS one definitely stood out. Not only is it a breathtaking locale on the North Shore of Oahu, the Ranch is rich with history and their mission for land conservation was what we found most inspiring!! We toured with Laurie who was a true professional, knowledgeable beyond her years in Wedding and Event Execution. Reason I know this is because I'm THE North American Division Event Operations Manager for a Fortune 500 Hotel Chain. I eat, sleep and breathe the wedding and event industry on the mainland and there's zero doubt in my mind she's an experienced, responsive, and genuine employee and more importantly human being. Let's put it this way, I would LOVE her to head a department on my team! We requested Laurie be our wedding coordinator (which is included in the package) as we had such a wonderful connection. We DO our research and found out that she has phenomenal reviews from her past employer on the mainland. All it took was seeing her solid work ethic and passion for her job that made us not only fall in love with Sunset Ranch but Laurie too!! I'm so excited to be working closely with her this year. To all of you out there still shopping for wedding venues, I don't envy you, especially if you don't know the wedding and event industry. I've had the pleasure of working at Sunset Ranch Hawaii as a wedding floral designer for 6 years, and it's truly one of the most exceptional venues on Oʻahu. The grounds are absolutely pristine -- lush, expansive, and thoughtfully maintained -- offering breathtaking views that make every wedding feel magical. From the moment you arrive on the 30-acre estate on Oʻahu's North Shore, you sense something special. The grounds themselves feel like an elevated escape: open lawns, ocean-and-mountain vistas, water-features, and multiple venues to fit different scales and moods. As a floral designer I appreciate how the space gives us generous canvases -- for ceremony settings, cocktail hours, reception layouts. The estates' several venues (for example "Fern's Garden," "Sunset Meadow," "Charlie's Pond") allow for mood shifts from lush garden to elegant ranch barn. What stands out most to me is how smoothly everything flows on event days. The team runs each celebration with professionalism and ease, allowing every vendor to do their best work while keeping the atmosphere calm and joyful. My best friend got married here! It couldn't have been done without our girl Rhonda. Rhonda could literally solve all the world's problems. She's sincere and wants to make every bride feel special. She knew exactly what to do at every moment. She didn't tolerate any form of dramatics happening. I am not kidding when I tell you that Rhonda made this wedding so special and unbelievably amazing! I recently attended a beautiful wedding at Sunset Ranch. The wedding ceremony and reception were in two separate areas with different backdrops that made for great photos. The sunset was absolutely breathtaking. The only challenge is that there is no on-site parking for guests, so guests need to be shuttled to the ranch. It's inconvenient for the guests, but perfect when it's time to shut down the party because everyone is forced to leave. read more
