    Let me first start off by saying I went through maybe eight wedding planners before I found gabby... EIGHT! My husband and I put down the deposit for lanikuhonua a month after being engaged. We found out we needed to hire a wedding planner and spent countless hours researching planners. Each planner I spoke to took days to get back to me for pricing or required an interview before giving me their pricing list. I straight up did not have time to fish around for planners and waste my time if they weren't going to be upfront about their pricing. Gabby responded with a detailed list of her services and pricing within two hours of me sending out an email AND wanted to schedule a phone call that same day. She was so responsive and patient when we talked to her - I knew right off the bat I wanted someone like her to plan my wedding - no excuses and straight to the point so we hired her for full planning since my husband and I live in LA but are both originally from HI From the very beginning she helped me book all my vendors with such ease. Budget was very important to me and she broke down every last detail of each vendors cost. She literally did all the math and broke down how much each head would cost and problem solved where we could save money (which I totally appreciate because I'm horrible at math). She was also amazing planning phone calls around LA time which we appreciated since we knew the time difference would be hard. I flew home in September to attend vendor meetings and she accompanied me taking notes on everything because of course - I would forget hah! She even supported my crazy edc themed cake idea! Day of the wedding gabby and her teamed handled everything so smoothly. Everything was so well organized and she was so reassuring with my crazy anxiety leading up to the wedding - talk about patience! She even handled my crazy mom-Zilla with such professionalism/patience and that says a lot hah! During the wedding gabby was prepared for ANYTHING. From covering my blisters with bandaids to making sure everyone stayed in task during the procession (because of course people get distracted). Mind you - she was pregnant and stayed the whole time start to finish at lani to make sure everything went as planned. During the Reception we ran out of alcohol (totally our fault since we didn't get enough as a couple). Gabby handled the situation so well! her team made a quick trip to target to make sure we had enough alcohol for the rest of the night. At the end of the night our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the wedding was! From the design/attention to detail - her team also packed everything from the wedding in boxes. They Made sure everything was a boxed and wrapped since we were about to leave back to LA. If you're looking for a organized, patient and reliable planner go with gabby! You won't regret it ! I still can't believe she planned this whole wedding while pregnant! Thank you so much for every gabby! Jonathan and I are so happy and had a blast at our wedding. We are Forever grateful!!

    There are almost no words -- and no review glowing enough -- to describe how incredible Gabby is. In fact, my advice to you: stop reading this review right now and contact info@bellaweddingshawaii.com to lock her in for your date, then come back for the full review. Gabby came recommended to us by our wedding planner in 2019, when we were looking for a planner for our rehearsal dinner. Our wedding weekend was slated for May 2020, but, of course, once the pandemic hit we were forced to re-schedule (and then re-schedule again). After the second or third postponement, we decided on a date in Oct 2021 and we were sticking to it. Enter: Delta variant. The State all but shut down social gatherings, and we nearly threw in the towel, but ultimately decided to have a small, pared down event. In the end, Gabby stuck with us for more than two years, and she was a friend and ally every. step. of. the. way. Planning this sort of event is stressful as it is, and add on top of that cutting the guest list, collecting vaccination records, flakey vendors, and dealing with ever-changing state/local guidelines. Gabby is the only reason I got through it and actually enjoyed the event (imagine that!). She is on top of *every* last detail, responds immediately, and anticipated every slight hiccup before it occurred. Her correspondence is clear and succinct. She deals with vendors and venues like a total pro. Her event Timeline and To-Do lists are clear and keep everything in order. She took so much off my plate leading up to the event, and in my opinion could charge much more for all the excellent work she does. As many other reviewers noted, she has a calm and friendly demeanor. On the day of our event, the venue decided to place a "covid enforcement officer" at the party, and we both just had to cry-laugh it was all getting so absurd. She made me feel like a friend rather than just a client. As stressful -- and, at times, painful -- as it was to plan this event during covid, I nearly cried when I hugged Gabby and said goodbye to her after the event. She is amazing, amazing, amazing. Book her and thank me later. Gabby, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!!!

    I cannot offer a high enough praise or recommendation for Gabriella Kawamoto and Bella Weddings and Events. Gabby is one of the most diligent, detail oriented, hard working and organized people I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Her work made my wedding planning effortless, providing me with all of the information and recommendations I needed and effectuating all of the necessary coordination and communications. Gabby was such a pleasure to work with through the entire planning process and I would now consider her not only my wedding planner but my friend. Our wedding was logistically complicated and Gabby planned every detail to a point where it was executed flawlessly on our special day. On top of her coordination abilities, Gabby truly understood my stylistic vision and everything turned out more beautiful than I ever could have imagined! By our wedding day I felt so confident in Gabby's work and abilities that I was truly able to let go and do nothing but enjoy! I had mentally prepared myself that several things would probably not go as planned at our wedding, but lo and behold, everything went perfectly!     Where to even begin to say how amazing Gabby is. From the initial phone consultation to the final gift being loaded in to our getaway car, Gabby was an absolute professional and was the best decision I ever made with this whole wedding! My fiance was on military deployment for a lot of the planning process so it was up to Gabby and I to plan the whole event. I hired Bella Weddings to help with the full service of planning our wedding and I am so glad I did. From the beginning, Gabby was conscious of our budget and had forward thinking from the start about how best to allocate the budget to the most important items. She knew when to hold back and when to give me a little nudge and just go for things. We ended up going over our budget due to some choices my fiancé was desperate to have but Gabby worked with us the whole way through. All I said to her was "travel / airplane theme" and she took that and worked out the most gorgeous designs that were just the right amount of theming. Her vision is impeccable and she does not miss a thing when it comes to the details. She asked me at the start how I prefer to keep in touch (emails, text etc) and has her communication skills down to a science. I made the mistake of planning my bachelorette party 2 days before the wedding and was insanely hungover at our rehearsal but Gabby took charge and organised the whole bridal party so I didn't have to do anything but practice my walk! She picked the best vendors and on the day, everything was absolutely more that I could have ever imagined. She had everything so well prepared that I didn't have to worry about anything on the day. Her team was great on the day and I didn't even notice them running around making sure everything was perfect, they were so stealth! So many of my guests have told me it really was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to and although I am biased, I totally agree!!     Late post from December 2025 ceremony…read more Being from the mainland I was a little nervous about a company that I knew nothing about. My now husband found them with a simple Google search. Front start to finish, it was the most amazing experience. The coordination was flawless and the service was top notch. We didn't get to meet our officiant Ellsworth until the day. The photographer and videographer made us feel so comfortable! The flowers were fresh and made beautifully. The hula dancer was gorgeous and the musician was wonderful. My hair and make up artist understood the assignment and they both made me look flawless! Our photographer Carson took over 200 photos and made us feel so special! Our highlight video and ceremony video were awesome. I recommend this company to anyone who wants to get married in Hawaii as they have the wedding planning down to a science. They have something in everyone's budget I loved that they took away the hassle of booking everything separately especially since we didn't live there! Thanks everyone!

They are full service venue, they offer a lot of services booked by them which makes planning easier. I booked the solo guitarist thru the venue for the ceremony I don't know his name but he did an amazing job! I got the bride suite to get ready and definitely recommend, it's comfy and has AC. I booked my hair and makeup with the venue her name was Emily, she was EXCELLENT. My hair and makeup stayed put all day! The staff there was great, Kat and Kim were our coordinators that day. I booked the DJ thru the venue it was Bliss DJs, the DJ was Kembo and he was so friggging amazing. I did my cakes thru Sam's Club and my mom just put flowers on them. I recommend doing this if you're on a budget, the wedding cake and sheet cake were like $45 each. My mom did the wedding arch and ceremony chair flowers. We ordered pupus, buffet lunch and added the roast pig. The food was good, the pig was delicious. The best entreee on our menu was the sweet sour chicken.

Amazing individuals involved: We worked with Tamara, Morgan, and Kat. Tamara ended up being on maternity leave (CONGRATS TO HER!!) and we worked mostly with Morgan as she helped continued getting us ready and settled for the big day. We met Kat on rehearsal day and she helped us and the wedding crew know what to do and what will happen on the big day. And Kat was there with Morgan the day of to help run the show. Most of our communication was from emails. No texting. And phone appointments. Heads up: a wedding happens almost everyday here at Haiku Gardens so getting an immediate reply via emails and phone calls are not always guaranteed. So ADVICE - set those phone appointments! VERY HELPFUL to do! Haiku Gardens have many different wedding packages to choose from. They will layout the pricing for you of each package. My husband and I did an "a la carte" instead. Tamara and Morgan were on task and organized with the pricing of everything and anything added or subtracted. As far as vendors go, we definitely let them choose which ones to use (I believe the vendors they use are ones they mostly use in their wedding ceremonies) and all vendors were GREAT! We had no issues with them at all. I had to ask Morgan a few times who were the vendors so I can look them up online on my free time and follow them on IG and FB. Our reception was at Haleiwa Jose's which is up the little hill and very close by. They provide a golf cart to pick up and drop off guests and wedding crew from the ceremony site to the reception site. Tamara and Morgan showed pricing of menu choices. We chose the buffet option and added a roasted pig station. Per our guests, they loved everything and said all food choices were delicious! Nothing was dry or too salty. PERFECT! They even enjoyed the bar. Reception Space used was great. Just seeing the amazing trees, mountains, sky...was a perfect view. We had a small group - 53 guests - but Haiku Gardens can definitely have more than 100. Haiku Gardens....sigh...the scenery...BEAUTIFUL and PEACEFUL. With of course a couple sounds from the roosters, which we didn't mind. We're Filipino and we get that in the Philippines so we're used to it hehe. It was hot that day. LOL. During the ceremony, all of us were sweating. Good thing, our wedding favors were fans for the guests to use. But even though it was hot, everyone enjoyed and the Aloha spirit was definitely present. The floral decor was just how I wanted it. They turned out so beautifully. Wedding decor, which were from me, were arranged as asked. Morgan even let me borrow a couple of easels for the reception :) Haiku Garden's ceremonies are "DAY weddings," so just know you have the venue with reception (at Haleiwa Joe's) from 10am-2:30pm. Which was fine. My husband and I were looking for something not too long or during most of the day (we already got married at a city hall in San Francisco a year ago). It was definitely convenient for us. DJ and Emcee were perfect. We really loved our Emcee. She definitely helped reception activities go by within time range without the rush or push of getting things done. The only thing that did not happen (which we assumed because of time) is our money dance. L'Amour Photography & Video - They are amazing! Just having them on our special day was fun and they helped eased any nerves. Still waiting for the rest of the photos, but the videos they captured - wonderful! All in all, we are glad we found Haiku Gardens and Tamara and Morgan. Everything went smoothly before and during the big day. I did not feel stressed as I expected to be hehe. Views were amazing especially if you are not wanting a beach wedding. Our guests cannot stop talking about the ceremony and the food! And my husband and I love reliving and remembering the small details that happened on our big day. Mahalo Haiku Gardens for everything!!

It is a fairly safe bet that the next batch of my cousins' weddings will be perfectly planned and implemented by her competent hands. Justine helped us through the process from getting vendors, keeping us on track, to the day of the event, table decoration, welcome table décor, directing guests and the wedding party on where to be, when to move and helping pack up the site. She also helped handle tip distribution. We did a sizable number of video calls, phone calls, and emails. She is very responsive. We definitely would have been in a much more stressful state without her timelines, budget outlines, and overall guidance.     I'm a really organized person and have no problems choosing my own vendors but I was shopping for a…read moreday-of coordinator to help oversee everything on the long awaited day. I'm not sure if it's just me but I think there should be a minimum three day response time. If that's not doable, I may accept one week but definitely not two. And there's more... Finally got a response so I go over the package and call them back with questions for all these "extra charges." Getting married outside of Honolulu? There's a charge for that. Having the ceremony and reception at different locations? There's a charge for that. Having it at the same place? There's a charge for that too. More than 75 guests? You guessed it!!! There's a charge for that too! Paying with a credit card so you can earn miles? Yes, there's a charge for that. 3.5% processing fee to be exact! But with all those extra charges, I was still going to book them because of their reputation. I mean look at their reviews! So, I told them to send me the contract and it never came. Two weeks later, I get a email apologizing for the delay and asking me where my venue was again. Are you serious? I need an organized coordinator that I can trust! I sent them an email saying I will no longer need their services. Guess how many emails I got after that? Like five in a row with more apologies and excuses of how busy they were and how they're working on hiring and training someone to make the contracts. Whatever, I don't care. You can't handle the volume of your business, that's your problem. I need someone that can handle. I'm so happy I didn't go with them. I now have a coordinator that responds to all my emails and there are no extra fees. One that I trust and that is something so vital for one of the most important days of your life!

Because of their incredible team, our bridal party, our guests, and most importantly, my husband and I were able to be fully present and enjoy every single moment. Everything was handled so seamlessly behind the scenes, allowing us to soak in the day we had dreamed of. Henry was with us for most of the wedding day, and we honestly cannot say enough amazing things about him. He kept everyone on schedule, steamed our dresses, took care of every little detail, and was genuinely such a good time to be around. From start to finish, Tessa and her team made our wedding unforgettable. My husband and I decided to look at small venues and saw Maleana Gardens. Usually they do small weddings up to 20 people. I was a little hesitant at first because on their IG it looked a little too good to be true and I didn't hear much about it. After speaking with Cheri, the owner, she invited us to go down to their property and take a look for ourselves before booking. We totally winged it and went. The property is full of luscious tropical plants, amazing photo ops, and overall absolutely beautiful! It felt like we were on another island. Cheri shared she and her husband,Scott planted all of the plants and maintained the grounds for many years. So cool! Going through the process of planning (yes even for an intimate ceremony) can be stressful. Through out the process, Cheri was easy to get a hold of and so helpful during this crazy time. Our wedding ceremony was able to go as planned and we didn't have to worry about anything. Cheri worked with our vendors and was even able to do a last minute set up for cake cutting. Thank you to Cheri for everything! We are truly grateful that we were able to have our Covid wedding ceremony!
