My oh my, they are lifesavers! I reached out to Annie and needed to check if they were available for my son's birthday party. Initially, we didn't think we needed a band but are so relieved we ended up getting one and even more grateful that it was Annie and Curtis. Thank goodness for Yelp (as always), I found Mango Season Music on Yelp and sent an availability and rate inquiry. Annie contacted me within a few short hours and I had a nice long chat with her about their services and she did a great job of finding out more about the party and our vision. She then made suggestions and let me know what services they offered and tailored them to our party. They have a band with multiple members but we decided to go with Annie and Curtis. Their prices are pretty reasonable and after seeing and hearing them perform, we didn't feel like we paid them enough. Annie was so helpful throughout the party-planning process and served as much more than a musician. Her communication is excellent and is very detailed. After speaking to her for the first time, she sent me an email with a recap on what we discussed and different options we could go with. After deciding to hire them, she sent me a contract and payment link. She also sent their current set list so that we could choose songs that we wanted (but weren't limited) to them play at the party. They were really early to the event to make sure everything was set up and make sure their sound system was working properly. They did a great job of placing the speakers in all areas that the guests could hear (the seating and buffet were in different areas). The best money we spent on the wedding was the incomparable Mango Season! We found them through a very serendipitous Spotify search, and I reached out asking if they were free to play for my wedding. As it turned out, they also had wedding planning services, so we decided to hire them for both their music and their planning. To say it was 'money well spent' is an incredible understatement. Annie and Curtis made the wedding planning process smooth, which is no small feat considering how the wedding was originally planned for early 2020, and ended up going through three date changes and two and a half venues. Be it pandemic restrictions or venues closing for renovation, Mango Season was always on top of the chaos that came our way. When our first venue told us about their prolonged renovation, Mango Season provided a list of alternatives and scouted them out in record time. When new Oahu gathering restrictions (10 indoor, 25 outdoor) hit the week before our wedding, Mango Season negotiated with our new venue to help figure out a solution where we could have everything outdoors. Not only that, but they kept on top of our rental contracts, adapting everything seamlessly to fit the new venues, finding new rentals to cover new concerns, as well as drafting up new layouts to accommodate our unorthodox reception plan. Not only were they spectacular before the wedding, but they were incredible during as well. With Annie's detailed timeline in hand, everyone was on the same page on what would happen when. Annie and her team were pneumatically efficient and organized in shepherding the guests, communicating with the wedding party, handling test and vaccination checks, making the favors, and more. The day of and the days after, our wedding party and family continually commented on how amazing Mango Season was at handling and coordinating the day. Three paragraphs in and I haven't even gotten to the music yet! Needless to say, Mango Season Music blew me away. Before the ceremony, Curtis played some great Hawaiian slack key guitar. He also learned three songs for the ceremony - two instrumental covers of vocals, and one vocal - and pulled them off with aplomb. During the dinner portion of the reception, we had a jazz trio and they played an great set of tunes: Moondance, Fly Me To The Moon, Mango Season's own Lanikai Moon etc. They have a really fun funky, jazzy, groovy style, and my guests loved the songs they played! Some of them even asked me for a list of all the songs haha. Not only that, but for the dance party portion, they put together some of my favorite songs into an awesome dance mix. Curtis also made a great emcee, smoothly transitioning through each part of the reception. At the end of the night we were both elated by how the day went, but also a little sad, because it marked the last day that we'd be working with Mango Season, who we've been working with for more than two years! Seriously, do not hesitate to hire them; they are incredible planners and fantastic musicians. There are so many other things they did that I don't have the space to touch on -- all the suggestions Annie had to flesh out my rough wedding vision, their storeroom of items (signage, gift boxes, candle holders etc) so we didn't have to spend on more rentals, the wedding planning tool they had (Aisle Planner) that kept us on track and organized -- even now as I think more and more things are coming to my mind! We got married in October in a small chapel in Honolulu and Curtis did us the honor of playing guitar and singing for our small ceremony. All of our guests loved him! From his pre-ceremony instrumentals to our custom picked processional and recessional song choices, he was great and very professional! A few days before, he also came to our wedding rehearsal so he could checkout the venue as he's never played there before and wanted to get a feel for the acoustics of the place. He even played our processional song while we were rehearsing so the timing could be right the day of. A couple months later he sent us a nice little thank you and congratulatory letter. Words honestly can't describe the magic that Mango Season was at our wedding (literally words aren't enough... we and our guests still watch videos constantly to re-live it). Starting from the beginning, Annie and Curtis did our ceremony and played the James Bond theme song for my husband walking down the aisle and Annie sang Rihanna "Diamonds" for me walking down the aisle. It was absolutely perfect. For our first dance, we'd always wanted "The World Is Not Enough", which is a pretty intense song. I still get goosebumps thinking about how incredibly beautiful and powerful their performance of it was. Then they absolutely crushed the songs we chose: Blink 182, Flo Rida "Wild Ones", Icona Pop "I love it", Lynrd Skynyrd, Taylor Swift, Yeah Yeah Yeahs "Heads Will Roll", "Call Me Maybe", and Lady Gaga. And then to end one of the most amazing musical experiences we or our guests have ever had, we had them do a New Orleans style marching band parade from the outdoor venue through the hotel to the afterparty. Most of our guests said it was the best wedding they've ever been to and are still talking about the entire musical experience. Also, have to mention that Annie was the MC and was exactly what we wanted. Funny, high energy, and super into it. Aghhh we want to do it all over again, so amazing. THANK YOU ANNIE AND CURTIS AND ENTIRE BAND FOR THE MOST AMAZING NIGHT OF OUR LIVES!!!! I forgot to add that my dad is a musician and wrote a song for me and sent the score to Curtis and the band learned the song and it was epic. It still gets stuck in our heads. read more

She and Curtis went above and beyond to make my wedding gorgeous and run as smooth as possible. Curtis and Annie seriously made our wedding the perfect wedding experience we were dreaming of. Early on from their quick communication, eagerness to work together, and flexibility to learn meaningful songs for us - this dynamic duo is one you won't want to overlook for your wedding. We did the full package with acoustic music before/during the ceremony, Hawaiian music during cocktail hour dinner, acoustic/jazz music during dinner, and then UPBEAT throwbacks & top hits for the dance floor. They blew it out of the water and reassured us that a DJ would never compare. Curtis even learned a few rap sounds that we requested!! Every guest raved about how fun our wedding was due to the engaging MCs (Annie & my uncle) and the AMAZING band led by Curtis. Mango Season!!!!! Ahhh! Mango Season (trio) performed at our wedding last weekend at Halekulani, and were so much more than we could have ever asked for. They really brought my vision of the wedding to life and added so much class, style, and charisma to the evening. Mango Season, in conjunction with our planner, moved the night along so smoothly and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Annie was very involved with the planning process from the beginning, and her in-depth questionnaire/website was easy to use, helped keep us organized, and allowed us to think about things that we never would have otherwise. They also learned 2 new songs for our event--"Greatest Story Every Told" by Oliver James and "Wonder What You're Doing for the Rest of Your Life" by Train--and their performance of them was fabulous. Annie and Curtis's cover of "Love Me Tender" (Norah Jones rendition) for my walk down the aisle was also beyond perfection, and I've replayed that moment over and over again in my head since that day. This review has been a long time coming..... Mango Season = two words: SIMPLY AMAZING We booked Mango Season for my mom's 80th birthday. Before you make any judgments, please read on. My mom is a young 80 and she volunteers at many different places. Her co-workers, which made up 60 people on the guest list, range from the early 20s to late 50s. When we were looking for entertainment we wanted to get something that would appeal to all ages. Annie and Curtis were exactly what we were looking for. We wanted my mom's 80th to be like a concert and Annie and Curtis didn't disappoint. All I heard throughout the night was praise from the guests about the entertainment choice for the night. Good friends, good food, great music, plenty to eat and drink equals one memorable nite. Please check Mango Season out. And, if you can support them, they will definitely not disappoint. Mango Season performed for our holiday party back in December 2011 and I never got around to reviewing them. They're a phenomenal band that can do a great range of songs very professionally. I remember conversations actually pausing so that people could listen and nod their heads and go, "wow, these guys are really good." We hired Mango Season to perform at a reception following a workplace, recognition ceremony. The venue was outdoors for about 150 people and 90-minutes of Curtis & Annie. They were fabulous and exactly what we envisioned for high quality, professional musical artists. I'd hire them again in a second for any size event where live music would fit. I simply reviewed their spotify lists and emailed a list of artist that we enjoyed. Mango Season did the rest. Awesome!! read more

Our wedding was in March 2015 and we originally were just going to hire a DJ to do the entertainment, but we decided we wanted to be different so we came here to Yelp to find options and found Mango Season Music. We were impressed by their cover song videos on YouTube and decided to hire them for the big day. They were awesome and we got a lot of compliments from our guests. They were very professional throughout the entire process. We loved how organized their website and phone appointment system was. They really go above and beyond to give customers the highest level of customer service. One special bonus to hiring them is they will learn songs that you request. Their rendition was excellent! Mango Season were an absolute pleasure to work with. We used them for our Work Holiday Party and they out did themselves. No only was the music on point, but they helped me with the games and activities. I'm the coordinator for our work events and I am usually stressed out, but Annie (The Emcee/Band/Coordinator extraordinaire) was totally on it and I was actually able to enjoy myself. Wow, what can I say about Mango Season? THEY ARE AMAZING. Literally the best. The smartest decision we made was booking them for our wedding on the North Shore of Oahu on 10/4/18. Choosing a band from thousands of miles away seemed like it would be stressful, but Mango Season made it so easy. Communication was great and they were fast to respond to all of our questions (even though we are in Detroit with a 6 hour time difference!). Annie even did a walkthrough of our venue before we arrived to plan out the best way for everything to be set up. They were so professional and organized, we could not have asked for anything more. Annie and Cutis also had a lot of ideas for us during our planning sessions so it was a great collaboration between all of us. We ended up having a mix of performances- Curtis did solo slack key guitar for the ceremony, Curtis and Annie did a duet for cocktail hour we had DJ during dinner and a quartet for the dance party after dinner (Annie and Curtis plus a bass guitar player & saxophonist). They had such high energy and are SO talented, it was like our own personal concert. They kept our whole party dancing all night and all of our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about them. Annie also did MC'd for us which made the day run so smoothly. Mango Season has gained a bunch of new fans, and we feel like we gained new friends in Annie and Curtis! If you are getting married on Oahu, BOOK MANGO SEASON! This is only my second review. I only write a review when I really wanted to vent or let everyone know how great my experience was. This review is the latter!!! My wife and I were very happy to have Mango Season perform at our wedding. The experience was great from the first consultation to our wedding day. Annie was very prompt in answering our questions. She would send out reminders as the wedding get closer to ask us details of our wedding such as the type of music we wanted to play and our timeline. She also worked with our venue manager and event coordinator to make the wedding day worry free. They are also very accommodating in fitting our budget needs. The duo (Curtis and Annie) was great during our cocktail hour and dinner. Their rendition of our First Dance song that we personally choose was better than the original! If you have an opportunity, you need to hire the full band!! The full band performed the dancing portion of our reception and we didn't regret one bit. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have a fun time :) read more
