I've been here a few times and thought it was well at first until I actually did the math for the weight of my cans and plastic bottles and I was supposed to receive around $12 but only got $4. Which means they pocketed $8. Unfortunately the other recycling areas around here seem to do the same It's not a lot of money to begin with, but it's about the principle. read more

I have recycled here several times but today was different. The line is always long and slow. I'm patient though. It's finally my turn. I have two full orange baskets. One of cans and one of bottles. The guy immediately dumps out my cans into another container and then back into the original. I've never seen him do this before. I asked him why he did that and he refused to respond. And I asked again and still no response. Another man working there said oh he does that because "some people" put dirt or water in the cans. I said I've been waiting over 30 minutes and not once did I see him do this to anyone else. Why are my cans different? The only difference I see was me being the ONLY black person. My thing is if you work at a recycling center all day, you know the average weight of a full container of cans. How about you put it on the scale and see if my weight to scale ratio is off? Not assume that I have nefarious intentions and single me out for a new resorting of my cans. I'm HIGHLY OFFENDED and will not be returning! read more

Definitely not using the correct weights. the service is good, and the guys are cool but this is the third time Ive been there that they've given me exactly $40. The first time I brought 14 bags & got $40, so I assumed aluminum was jst low. Then the Next 2 times I brought between 8-10 bags, all aluminum, and again got $40 even. Never have I ever gotten an exact amount for recycling anywhere but here. And ive Heard from multiple other people saying they are not using correct weight. the person 2 people ahead of me even called them out for it and they told him to take his cans and leave. Only go here cause it's the closes, but probably won't be returning. read more

I saw this new recycling location pop up in the Superior parking lot one day. I took a picture and went about my life for a few months. I finally decided I was going to recycle today. I found the picture I took and called for their prices. The man answered quickly and gave me the prices and closing time that I asked for. When I came, I grabbed a few available baskets and went to grab the ones for glass. Memo saw and made sure I knew that they were for glass. He also was nice enough to bring me two extra baskets for my cans and bottles. To top it off, he went out of his way to share that it would be better for me to go by weight and not count for certain materials. He's super knowledgeable, helpful, and knows what he's doing.
