Very dishonest people never go to this business. They input whatever weight they want to. Had 3 plastic containers that where filled up to the same level, and for some reason one weight 1 pound the other 2 and the last one 3. Keep in mind that all the weight he entered were even numbers. They don't let you see the weight on purpose. Stay away! Wish I can report them somewhere.

Never I repeat never come here. They rob you of your money. I checked the weight of each load and calculated what it should have been. He said owner said he had to take away 1.9 lbs per basket due to basket however I was taken way more. Actual empty basket only weighed 1.2lbs . He called his boss as I was disputing the amount and weight and he was very unprofessional not sure if he knew he was on speaker but he told the guy that he has no reason to explain to ppl if we don't like it we can get our stuff and leave.. and that i was a big headache to remember me! He was taking money from my son not me! My son collects the cans and cashes them in once a month! Attached is a picture of actual weight compared to the weight he paid me for.

I brought in 5 canisters full of plastics bottles the person here only added the weight of two cannisters full of plastic bottles he put a weight of 30 lbs there is no way someone gets 30lbs out of 5 full cannisters. Person did however add the weight of 2 cannisters of aluminum altho the weight wasnt added correctly either. I have attached here a photo of my receipt and a sticky note where i had my correct weights of all which it clearly wasnt added here. Person that helped me just said you can keep a receipt you dont have to come here anymore if you dont want to. Never got payed my total amount got robbed of about $35 dollars. Wont say name of person that helped me but i hope his boss sees this receipt and talks to the person responsible for STEALING MY MONEY that is owed to me. I never seen this person before. Not saying everyone steals peoples money here I always use to get helped by a shorter slimmer guy here he was always on the dot with the correct weight and payment. Person that helped should be accounted for with their boss/owner. WAS ROBBED $35 HERE

Poor customer service and TONS of bees. Had to wait 10 minutes for the workers to finish conversation selling a ring to someone and got stung. First and last time here. read more

Every time I'm ready to go to recycling I head right down the street to Sunset Recycling, its about a mile from where I stay. Before Sunset I had to get on the freeway and head to Berkeley to find a good recycling place now its less than 5 minutes away. Thanks for saving me money Sunset Recycling. read more

Depends on who's working to what kind of service you get sometimes I feel like I'm getting ripped off though other times I feel like it's on the mark today. I asked the man question of where are. The basket are cause they were all inside behind him filled all he had to do was take a second empty, so the rest of us could unload but instead, he was talking back-and-forth to some young lady instead of helping the rest of us he was flirting with a girl then arguing with another lady and it was just annoying read more

Not the one to write that many reviews but I was really pleased with the customer service Edward provided me with. He's extremely helpful and and very communicative he answered all my questions in regards to my cans. He's fast and even helped separate my recyclables. This guy is always cleaning up the area, you can tell he loves his job. He deserves a raise!! I recommend this location over all other locations I been too. read more

Easy to find and easy process. I don't usually go here because I thought you had to go into food 4 less to receive the cash for the recycled goods, but this is not the case. Incase you've never done this kinda thing, it was really quick. You just pour your already separated bottles and cans into a bin and they weigh it. They give you your cash, you sign and your done. The guy working wasn't overly friendly, but he wasn't rude either. I would definitely return to this location again. read more

The worker was very helpful and friendly. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes & made $6. It may not seem much but as my mom would always say, "De poquito en poquito se llena el jarrito" which in English it means "Little by little the jar is filled" (sounds better in Spanish). Overall value is ok, but more importantly I'm doing my part in making sure recyclables don't end up in the trash. With the money I'll earn from recycling I'm going to get a box and work on filling it with the $ I earn from my next recycling visits & maybe use that money towards a future adventure or have it go to savings. I'm bad with names but thank you to the worker for being nice & helpful & posing for this picture. You rock!

Used this for my recycling for years but was tested very rudely so I took my recycling to a spot on Lemon in Fullerton. That's when I realized Sunset had been short changing me. For roughly the same amount at sunset I received 35.00 to 40.00 dollars. And at the other location now I received over 70.00. Not just once but 3 different times. Go figure. read more
