But had we known this was the same thing we can get at The General Store or HWY 41, we probably would have skipped it. That part behind us, the shoppe is charming and the grounds are lovely. My rating is not based on our personal experience (my wife and I agree we probably would give it 3 stars), but honestly, if you're a parent with young children and you want to take them for ice cream, this would be a lovely place to do it. Also, if you come later in the season when the gardens are at full growth, there's a wi derail learning opportunity here as well. So the ice cream experience wasn't the greatest for us...but the grounds, the friendly service, and the delightful setting ultimately made the whole experience quite wonderful.

The staff are ALWAYS friendly and quick, no issues with the service whatsoever! My issue is the lack of products every time we visit. They are always out of something, at least one thing...usually two or three items, but it's always the cup sizes that were guaranteed to be out. The last time we went, I had ordered a large train wreck with cookie dough and snickers. They were out of the large cups and cookie dough. So then I said brownie instead, they were out of that, too. Eventually, I gave up and stopped coming. You shouldn't have to make three order ideas just in case the other two aren't available, and that's exactly what was happening. They need better stock management here. The ice cream is good but it's not worth the frustrations anymore.
