Both Erin and Jessica kept me laughing!
Bri B.

First off Erin is bad ass!! She knows her stuff. I went on the New Years Black Canyon SUP paddle trip and it was legit one of the coolest experiences I've ever been on. Erin and her co guide Jessica Danger were so rad the entire time. They made sure and shared some of the coolest spots on the Colorado. They were patient with our SUP skills and helped better my stroke. They provided all food and everything was so delicious and fresh. They are so fun to be around and kept me laughing the entire trip. Such a trip of a life time. Support her business you will be VERY happy you did!!!

Erin was amazing!! My friend was a more nervous than she thought that she would be, so Erin offered to reschedule to an even calmer location(tide was low already that day), to make her feel more comfortable. We did end up using our session that day, since we were there... and Erin was super patient!!! By the end of our session with her, my friend's fear faded away and she said that she would definitely do that again:) Erin even brought out her water proof back pack and phone, to take some fun photos of us on the paddle boards. She sent those right away, free of charge. Thank you very much Erin for the great experience!!

Erin is the best. Before I had even stepped on a paddleboard I reached out to her and she answered all of my questions. I knew I wanted to get into SUP but I didn't really know where to start. This was almost exactly a year ago in August 2020. She encouraged me to get out and try it and before I (or my wife) knew it, by October I had purchased two paddleboards. My wife and I go out all the time now. I went on a Paddleboard Camping trip led by Erin on Catalina Island, have paddled around Dana Point with Paddles and Pints, I've paddled up in Morro Bay, paddled the Newport Back Bay, and we're out at Lake Perris all the time now. We also have a couple excursions lined up with her in the near future. She's introduced us to the most rad and accepting community that we're thrilled to be a part of now. Simply put - if your interested in SUP, or general human goodness, then go with Sunset Standup Paddle.

Best day of summer! Erin is an incredible coach. She is patient, knowledgeable, helpful, and funny. This was my first time on a paddle board and I felt completely safe and comfortable with Erin guiding me. It was remarkable paddling next to dolphins. What an experience!!! I can't wait to schedule another tour.

This was our intro to the popular SUP trend. Absolutely recommended at all points of contact with the owner Erin and Nathan our Guru! And that guy has an enviable head of hair not to mention hes a warm genuine tactful young man. Super easy to book and schedule. Gorgeous locale of course book away you will be glad you did. The real deal. Pros for sure dude!

My shell

Amazing!!! So great totally worth it!! First time going and 3 Dolphins swam right up to us, a sea lion popped it head up just a couple of feet away, found one of the biggest shells diving down and the fish were so beautiful

Paddle boarding

We tried paddle boarding for the first time! WoW our experience was spectacular! They deliver the boards if you want to launch at a specific location. Erin was very accommodating. She thoroughly reviewed the gear the tasks to get going. She even offered to assist us to launch into the water! That is the hardest part. Such a fun experience! We rented the boards for the entire day to get a full day to practice! Totally worth it :)

Erin, working her magic.

I just finished Stephanie's hot sculpt class and couldn't leave the parking lot until I shouted this studio out! Energy, community, welcoming as can be. I've practiced yoga, meditation, and breathing techniques for many years, and I genuinely wanted to…read moreshare some constructive feedback because I think this studio has a lot of potential. One thing I really appreciated was that the room stayed dark throughout class. A dim environment helps create a calm, inward-focused atmosphere, which is an important part of yoga for many practitioners. My biggest concern was the pace of the vinyasa classes. I don't mind a challenging or athletic flow, but the transitions were so fast that there was barely enough time to settle into a pose before moving to the next one. A good vinyasa class isn't about moving as quickly as possible--it's about connecting movement with breath. Students need a few breaths to establish alignment, engage the appropriate muscles, and experience the stretch before transitioning. When everything is rushed, it becomes difficult to focus on breathing or body awareness, and the practice starts to feel reactive instead of mindful. The room also became very stuffy because the doors were closed so quickly. I understand that heated yoga is intentional, but fresh air and ventilation are still important. Several people appeared to struggle to keep up, and it felt as though the lack of airflow--not just the heat--made the class unnecessarily uncomfortable. Another area for improvement is instruction. I often had difficulty hearing Kate because she spoke very quickly and without much emphasis, making it hard to follow the sequence. Clear, deliberate cueing helps students move safely and confidently. For me, the best vinyasa classes strike a balance between challenge and mindfulness. They allow enough time to breathe, establish each pose with proper alignment, maintain a comfortable environment, and leave students feeling energized, grounded, and mentally refreshed--not rushed or stressed. I hope this feedback is helpful because I truly believe these adjustments would make the experience significantly better for many students.

This was my second full yoga class in my life…read more I took one a week ago and on that Saturday 8/16 felt out of sync, a spectator and wanted to quit at the 26 and 34 minute mark. I did finish that hour long class but not till today, till I experienced Corepower Yoga Mission Viejo's 11 am Community Flow with heat did I get excited, understand it better, connect with what the stellar teacher Danica was saying, moved better, was pumped , was happier and loved the entire 60 plus minutes of sweat and movement. I loved that Danica repeated " at your own pace and do move as far as you can for eg; She was so authentic and kind. She spoke from the heart and connected the class's theme and message to real life using her own example. This stiff 405 pound bench pressing, 1/2 marathon and 5 K running, 3 hours of racquetball playing wanna be muscle head moron found himself starting to get the leg up in certain positions, actually touch my toes without screaming , move better with the stretching and the heat. I felt the crunches today. I mean having a leg up and then going across with the hand behind the head left to right and vice versa was work but lovely! I am hooked. I loved this. The studio was beautiful. They had cleaning supplies and ample wipes visibly available. The lobby area was clean and inviting. The men's locker room was modern with showers and nice lockers. CorePower Yoga Mission Viejo offers classes for all levels. They also have mats and towels available. The first visit either one was free. I had a beautiful experience.

This CPY location has showers (approx. 6 stalls), restrooms, and a small store selling yoga wear in the front. You have to bring your own yoga mat, towel, and water bottle when you come, but they also rent them (yoga mat is $4, towel is $2 i think) at the front. Set in a slightly heated room, it's a combination of CP2, but with weights. CPY ranks this class as an advanced class with medium heat. During this class, we focused on full body (exercises like static lunges, squat to shoulder press, planks, etc.) and also held vinyasa flow poses with weights. I really enjoyed how it was progressively more challenging each time we returned to a sequence. The instructor (Wendy Black) was really energetic and had an upbeat playlist, which was perfect for the class type. I'm glad to have tried this class, and I'll definitely try this format out again!
