Once my friend realized the payment hadn't gone through, she immediately went back inside and politely explained what had happened because she wanted to make it right. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the cashier became aggressive and accused her of stealing. My friend was extremely embarrassed and upset, especially because she is a local resident who has consistently supported this business. Mistakes happen, but there's a respectful way to handle them.
