I am so glad they come to our work place. I always get combo and its sooo good. Its little pricey but at least quality is good. Yum

I orders a rib eye steak bowl and was disappointed in the portion size of steak . I should of taken a picture before I ate it but it has more rice than steak.

Proof that I actually ate there.

Spent $42 on a steak and shrimp plate with rice and veggies...NO SODA.... WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. The taste did not justify just how RIDICULOUSLY expensive this small plate of food was. $41 First off, the food was prepared in a FOOD TRUCK. I expect to pay this price in a restaurant where I sit and have someone serve me. Second, there's no where to sit! And it's in a dumpster, bum infested area of los angeles. Third, it was good but, come on... don't kid yourselves. I walked away extremely upset that I had spent nearly 50 bucks on 1 simple plate of food. Never going back

Combo number 10. Chicken and steak.

Overall this place is a 4 out of 10 for me. The chicken is dry and we asked for medium rare but as you can see it was made well done. As i stated earlier the chicken was dry and needed more flavor. As I was eating though I found a piece of medal in my food looks like a piece of the medal sponge they probably use to clean the grill maybe. The rice however it was pretty good and had good flavor. They have a rice and teriyaki bowl that i wanted to try I just hope they're careful when cleaning. The service is good which is why they get a 4 from me it was pretty quick and they're pretty nice people. On Manchester and western location. Even if i want to try the teriyaki bowl I was disappointed , the chicken and steak weren't what i expected from a 30$ plate so I wouldn't go back.

Good customer service, fresh food, it's in the hood so be aware of your surroundings. Overall the food was very flavorful and delicious. The garlic noodle could have been a little more seasoned. But a pinch of salt did the trick.

I sent several messages with pics and messages were read and ignored without receiving a response.

BUYER BEWARE FROM TRUCK ON MANCHESTER IN FRONT OF RALPHS!!!! I have been a customer for a few years and was amazed with the taste and quality. I enjoyed it more than Benihana. There was a chef change who overcooked a steak order and when I contacted them on IG with my issue it was resolved with a complimentary steak replacement. The new chef never made the mistake again and my family continued to enjoy the food. Two weeks ago, I went and there was another chef on the truck. I was hesitant and nervous but proceeded to order. When I got home and looked at the food that cost me $150, I was disappointed and not ready to drive back an hour to address my issues. The medium rare steak was overcooked, the scallops were burnt, shrimp and lobster were undercooked, rice was mushy with no flavor, and veggies were hard and flavorless. I contacted Instagram, and messages were looked at and ignored. I sent pictures of the food and receipt and never got a response. This is very unprofessional and upsetting. I do not recommend spending more than $20 to be safe if the chef will be subpar and you take a huge loss like I did. This was a disappointing experience. I strongly encourage everyone to be careful from the truck on Manchester in front of Ralphs.

Food was so tasty, it slapped me in the mf face The service was quick and food was so fresh. It's a well lit food truck, so you can't miss it. Amazing, amazing! Will always recommend

Man is the best f****** amazing food I've ever had you should try this s*** out it's fire bro it's f****** fire letting you know right now low pricey but it's worth the price bro. Had the steak and shrimp noodles is fire Saludos a santitos

Lobster and ribeye plate that comes with a side of vegetable and chicken fried rice (also includes the free promo salmon).

Super friendly staff and really good food. We ordered the filet mignon noodles and ribeye/lobster plates. They were both good, buut I definitely recommend the noodles. It was on the oily side, but It had a slight spice to it that made the flavors that much better. Each plate came with a choice of vegetables+fried rice or double fried rice. I usually eat a lot, but my meal had so much food, that I probably have enough left overs for two more meals. We came while they had a promotion and got a free side of salmon, but I believe they have different promotions on different days. The staff were all wearing masks and were really helpful with the menu. One of the cooks saw me recording him cooking and gave a mini show LOL Really recommend this place if you're looking for a quick and filling Teppanyaki meal. Check out their social media before heading over to see their promotions. They accept card and cash, but we left them a cash tip on the side.

Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to what we remembered. Being given plastic utensils while dining in was surprising, especially at this price point. The service and food were just okay, and the "miso soup" was actually plain chicken broth, which was disappointing and unexpected. Overall, it didn't feel like the same experience we used to enjoy. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism, as we'd love to see the quality return to what it once was.

We got to choose our protein that was paired with fried rice and vegetables. I got scallops and pork belly, which was surprisingly the best choice for me. The pea soup especially surprised me in the best way possible. Such a unique flavor and easily one of my favorite parts of the meal. The only thing I didn't enjoy food-wise was the salad because it was way too sour for my taste. Unfortunately, the service and staff experience really dragged the night down. Everyone was very nice, but the staff seemed extremely disorganized, confused, and honestly untrained. They tried to double charge our bill, and after I pointed it out, they removed the duplicate charge but somehow still kept the extra taxes from the duplicate bill on there. When I flagged it again, they acted like they were doing me a favor by removing it "just this once," when I was literally just pointing out a math error. Why would I pay taxes on a charge that was removed? The servers also kept forgetting things seconds after asking us. One asked how I wanted my steak cooked, I said medium well, and moments later came back asking if I wanted it rare. My friend said she wanted steak, and the server responded with "So you wanted the cheeseburger?" It honestly felt chaotic the entire night. That said, the food itself was genuinely impressive and very different from your standard teppanyaki experience. If they can improve the staffing and organization, this place could easily become a standout spot worth returning to.

Once the whole party was seated & our order was taken, we received our delicious ginger salad and miso soup quickly. When our chef arrived he was ready to put on a show! He was so fun, engaging and very genuine. All of the food was amazing. I got the filet mignon steak w/ fried rice and my husband gets the sumo steak. The filet mignon is definitely worth it but if you prefer more meat, the sumo steak is the way to go. The drinks are affordable and compared to other teppanyaki places, the food is affordable and absolutely worth it. They also offer a happy hour in the dining room only - does not include the teppanyaki grill area. Truly one of our favorite places!!

3.5/5 Stars - Nice Experience, But Some Service and Timing Issues…read more We visited Tabi-Ji Teppanyaki for my husband's birthday and had an overall decent experience, though there were a few things that would make us think twice before returning. We chose the dining room seating rather than the teppanyaki tables. The staff did offer us the teppanyaki experience, but since we don't eat red meat or chicken from certain places and weren't sure how the food preparation process worked with mixed ingredients, we opted for a regular table instead. One downside was the seating arrangement. We were seated away from most of the other guests, and it often felt like the staff forgot we were there. Our original host/server was attentive and friendly, but once they were busy with other tasks, it became difficult to get assistance. It was also not busy for a Tuesday evening. We found ourselves waiting for long periods or having to wave someone down, which wasn't ideal, especially for a birthday dinner. As for the food: * Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll (4/5): Fresh, good quality fish, and a generous portion. A solid sushi roll. * Garlic Edamame (4/5): Flavorful and exactly what you'd expect from a good appetizer. * Lobster Duo with Miso Soup, Salad, and Fried Rice (3/5): Unfortunately, the lobster was quite chewy and seemed overcooked. The miso soup and fried rice were both enjoyable and helped make up for it. * Unagi Donburi (4/5): My husband's meal came with white rice, miso soup, salad, and fried rice. It was his first time trying eel, and he really enjoyed the soft texture and flavor. He said he'd definitely order it again. Our biggest disappointment was the timing of the food. The Unagi Donburi arrived significantly later than everything else. By the time it came out, we had already eaten most of the appetizers and other dishes and were pretty full. It's unfortunate because it seemed like a dish that would have been much better enjoyed fresh, but we ended up taking most of it home. Overall, the food ranged from good to very good, and being able to reserve through Resy and use our Amex dining benefit definitely helped offset the cost. However, considering the price point, we expected more attentive service and better pacing of the meal.
