I was getting ready to pull in and order here and I witnessed one of the employees throwing ice chips at a car and another employee threatening the driver with a chain , this is unacceptable behavior since according to the reviews they have great food but criminality and good honest workers don't go together, I rather eat somewhere where I'm safe. Though we didn't eat there because it was hot, the area was clean and spacious. I called ahead for my food and it was ready within minutes. this place has no ratings bc its on the corner of Ghetto Intersection and Sketchy Gas Station. I only stopped bc my car wasn't going to make it much farther and the gas here is super cheap. That being said, this is the CLEANEST food truck I've ever seen. Shining rims, no grime on the truck, clean new looking logos/stickers, organized kitchen, covered containers, no food splatter or drips on the serving ledge... it was so clean I was weirded out. There's also a little covered patio set up with tables and chairs for you. They specialize in seafood but have a wide variety of food from tacos, tortas, and burritos to ceviche, oysters, and cocktails (the seafood kind not the drink kind). Guy taking orders was funny and really friendly to everyone. I wasn't hungry but I'm always down to try new places so I got a cabeza taco ($1.25) and a fish ceviche tostada ($2.25?). Cabeza meat was better than Los Carnales nearby (so far my fave taco place in the area, their best meat is asada), but it came with barely any onions and cilantro so next time I'll have to ask them to dump it on. Bf ate the ceviche and loved every bite, said it was super limey and was happy that it wasn't fishy at all (bc this place is in THAT ghetto of a spot, we didn't know what to expect). I'll def be back to try more of the menu and let you guys know whatsup :) oh and this is a taco truck! don't come here thinking its a restaurant or something, they offer catering services but I think sticking that word in their name makes it seem like this isn't a truck you can just walk up to. Just had a burrito -$5 good and filling :) comes with rice,beans, meat, lettuce, avocado slices, sour cream. Campechana is so good here. I work nearby this taco truck and it smells so good when I am walking to grab lunch. So after a training I decided to come by and grab lunch real quick. However, the service can improve a little bit nothing horrendous. I was greeted a few minutes after scanning the menu and ordered the shrimp burrito which was $9.00. There wasn't a lot of people there but I noticed a lot of people called their orders in, even a few staff members from my job, I can see why they did that. After I ordered, the rush occurred due to it being lunch time. The wait was forever! For a simple shrimp burrito it took about 20-25 minutes which is outrageous to me! I saw that they had my burrito and I walked up to the window and the guy handed the burrito over to another woman in their taco truck and told me my burrito will be up after that guy in front of me. I said okay. As I'm waiting a homeless women hounds me for some change. I encountered her before at the Carl's Jr. across the street one day during lunch. I just find it bothersome to be bugged for money when I'm on my break. But today I was in good spirits and gave her a dollar since I for once had money on me. I did make conversation with a woman who was very sweet and friendly and ask my opinion on what to get. Since it was my first time here I didn't have any recommendations :/ but I did inform her that they specialize in seafood! Finally the guy called me "Hey Señorita, sorry about the wait. It's better if you call it in alright sweetheart" he said to me. I was in hurry so I said okay and thank you. Finally I walk back to work and take a bite of my burrito and for $9 I had a much better shrimp burrito for under $7. I probably will not be going back to this place.
