    Receipt evidencing order (sauce request)
    Vickie V.

Update 5/1/26: This place is far so I have it delivered. Clearly you see I ordered two plates. That means each plate comes with 3 sauces. Well, I only got 3 sauces (not 6) and not what I asked for. This is not the first time this has happened and it's very frustrating to spend nearly $60 and wait just under two hours to be disappointed by what you received. All the person who was fulfilling the order had to do was READ the order. I'm only dropping the rating because this issue has happened so many times, not because of the good itself.

Chicken steak shrimp with fried rice and noodles.

I ordered the trio, steak, chicken & shrimp $40, upgraded to fried rice and noodles and got a lemonade drink. Total came to $51. Sauces were free. Got the garlic sauce, which was good, the orange sauce, which is exactly sriracha/mayo and their "spicy" sauce which is exactly Sambal Oolek that you can get from the store. I was hoping they had their own homemade signature sauce like most hibachi's spots I've gone to have, but they don't. Received my food in about 25-30 minutes, although the lady that took our order told us it would be 15 minutes. Once I received it, I opened it and immediately knew the chicken was going to be very dry. Took a bite of it and it was. I wish people knew the secret to a good chicken breast is brining the chicken, so the chicken was also very bland. Took a bite of the steak and then realized the lady didn't ask how I wanted my steak, (my fault as well, as I should've asked) but I didn't expect it be well done. It was probably the chewiest steak I've had in a veryyyy long time. No flavor to it as well. I was super disappointed in that. The shrimp was cool. You really can't go wrong with cooking shrimp. Had a light seasoning to it. Veggies could've used another pinch of salt/seasoning. Fried rice could've used more seasoning as well. The noodles were horrible. Sorry to even say that on here, but I didn't expect it be wheat fettuccine pasta in some kind of slick sauce. It was super al dente and was just not good at all. Had I known it was pasta, I wouldn't have ordered it. I literally just walked up to their truck, there were no pictures on the menu or anywhere, so I had no idea how their food look. Overall, I was disappointed in the whole meal. Probably the worst hibachi I've had in the Los Angeles area and I've tried MANY different hibachi spots out here. After reading some of the comments on here praising how good the food is, I'd beg to differ. Maybe it was a different cook? Idk. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon. Regardless, to each their own palette. I definitely won't be coming back here again unfortunately.

First I would like to say that I appreciate consistency in restaurant, cafes, food trucks and the like. If I spend my money I would like consistency. I purchased from this establishment a few weeks ago and raved to everyone that it was so good. The portions were worth $30:00. Tonight when we received our $30:00 meal it was lacking shrimp and just wasn't like the one we got two weeks ago. They didn't even give us any vegetables like they did last time. My last complaint is that if you give me a selection of 3 sauces, I would like 3 sauces! Don't give us the option for 3 and send 3 of the same sauces. Not sure if I will be back as I wouldn't be happy to be presented with the plate we received tonight. Consistency is the key!

What drew me in was the buy one get one free offer on door dash. First time trying and it was delicious. Good portion sizes as well. Wish there was a little bit more protein but nonetheless it was a very good deal.

Stew Steak & Chicken Combo Plate Fried Rice 323 Noodles

On my way to have dinner I drove past the truck and immediately changed my mind on dinner. I ordered the Chicken and Steak combo plate with fried rice, veggies and a side of noodles. That was more than enough for two people. Their portions are pretty large. The food was well prepared and flavorful. The service was fairly quick once we ordered. You can see the cooks just cooking up a storm in there. I noticed they didn't have a tip jar so they clearly never ask for gratuity. However I just left them a tip regardless because their service was just great. Go check them out they have many options for everyone

I ordered their salmon plate with steamed rice and vegetables. The truck was out of their teriyaki sauce. Oh well. I guess that can happen. I took my wrapped up dinner home and found it was missing any vegetables. $ 23 for just salmon and rice. And no comment from the server just a hand-off. It diminished the value and experience.

coming here was a lesson in "instincts" and what happens when u dont follow them. first off, buy one get one free on UBER EATS has ONLY WORKED in my favor ONCE!!! but for some dumb reason, I just keep on trying and if u know the definition of insanity, then we both know I lost a long time ago. i was hungry, this place was only 1.5 miles away which translates to 9 mins in LA Speak which translates to "close." And they had a BOGO so i could get myself something as well as my mom I ordered it on uber eats said it was take 15-24 mins for pick up. headed over early cuz pick up orders on uber tend to be ready early. So i roll up to the address and I'm not gonna lie - i ain't even want the food no more fr fr it wasn't that the area was sketch, it was the sheer no fcks given placement of the truck within the atmosphere. Like it just was sitting there like no one gave a fck about it, not the owner, not the cook, not the community. it was just... there. But i had dropped $31 2x BOGO Chicken plate - $22 2x BOGO Lemonade - $7 So I was like naw, we getting what we paid for when i walked up, the cashier/attendant/customer service rep was wiping her nose, face or both with the sleeves of her sweater. and i thought "yo, wtf am I doing here?" the burden of curiosity. id come this far and I knew this new food adventure train was finna derail now i needed to know how far it would derail. the moment i walked up my food was ready. is there such a thing as ur food being ready .... too fast? Ummm... I arrived 9 mins after I placed my order If this was cooked to order idk if it shoulda been ready on 9 min unless they had absolutely ZERO customers when got home and opened it up and saw that boiled bullsh!t... I understood. this hot rice that i could could slice through like day old oatmeal was sadly the best part of the meal cuz this CHICKEN!!!!! bruh, this weak ass unseasoned, un satisfying, dry boiled chunky waste of everybody's damn time was a slap in the face to food truck Hibachi chefs everywhere. this food is supposed to be cooked on a large hot iron grill and leave grill Marks... LOOK AT THESE PICS!!! underneath the sad, dry hunks of bleached bland chicken were veggies, also unseasoned. now granted i asked for sauce on the side, but the sauce isn't supposed to be the dish ... it's supposed to enhance the dish... everything tasted like I needed a refund. i thought about taking it back but then put on my thinking cap... cuz i really ain't feel like driving alllll the way back there. so my big bright thought: so i put that chicken in the food processor to take it from viking level meat to digestible. then i dropped the sauces on it and voila ... it was still a punch in the taste buds. I could feel my tongue conferring with my instincts trying to figure out what the hell was going on. So then i tried to add soy sauce, But ... even soy sauce couldn't fix it Mid "try" I unearthed a carrot that was so bland and boring, I got angry. (Please refer to the photo) I took a few more bites because I was hopeful that god may show mercy upon the hunger that was rummaging through me and provide a temporary taste of goodness.... God did not. i pushed it away my mom watched the whole process, even tasted the boiled hunk of dried chicken and cackled I drink my lemonade, which was the epitome of false advertisement - looks NOTHING as advertised. Where the berries!? however, it was the best thing I ordered all things considered. After I drank it I decided... Ima go out a martyr and save others from this fate with this review. key take away: The moment u feel a "naw fam" vibe...LISTEN TO IT FAM!!!

Great food, absolutely horrible service! Took forever! I don't think the owner would like be happy with employees doing what they were doing, (big group of nothing) any company that prioritizes socializing over work gets an automatic low score from me Also this Lobster is the smallest thing I've ever seen!! Doesn't even look legal size to be caught in America

Best hibachi spot. I was helped by a girl named emily she had very good communication skills and would accommodate to my needs such as allergies I have. Would definitely recommend this hibachi spot for a fast meal.

Everything taste amazing with reasonable prices (see my pic). My favorites is the fish tostada, mix tostada and the tacos (see my pics). Food gets messy, but sooo good (bring your own hand wipes for after -you'll thank me for this reminder). There are two other locations, besides this one. Food: 3/5 The shrimp ceviche is the only thing I really enjoyed. Everyone hyped the tacos but I didn't find them to be all that great. I also didn't really like the aguachile. It was very different than the traditional green aguachile with cucumber and onions that I was anticipating. This one was like raw shrimp in tapatio hot sauce. Service 5/5 They were very nice and I got my food quick! Ambiance 5/5 Everything was clean for a food truck and there were little tables and seats to enjoy the food.

A big fan of island -Dominican food although it was overpriced compared to what you Can get it for on the east coast but what ever.. I went back to the counter to ask for hot sauce and the cashier told me it was a 1$ for hot sauce.. I said really? The owner, walked over very politely with a straight face and said we don't eat hot sauce on the island so it's going to cost 1$ What does one have anything to do with the other? I didn't understand her logic. I paused for a second and she said so would u like some hot sauce? It was some bottled generic hot sauce not even house made. I declined to order. The food was pre cooked , set in a steamer. Fast casual restaurant with a few tables Food was bland and subpar.

Stopped by Karibbean Cuisine after seeing an Instagram review and was looking forward to having…read moresome good Dominican food, especially because it reminded me of my summers spent with family in New York and visiting the DR. When I got on Yelp, I saw mixed reviews, especially comments about a woman being rude or having a bad attitude. Thankfully, we did not have that experience directly. I did briefly see her come out from the kitchen, we caught eyes, and she walked back inside. The ambiance was ok, good music , no customers at the time, but a few tables were dirty. The young man cleaned it right away . To be fair, I don't think the issue is primarily the young man taking the orders. He was kind, apologetic, and seemed to care, but the overall operation felt unorganized. Our order was incorrect three separate times. First, the drink order was wrong, but he fixed it and apologized. Second, we paid extra for mayo ketchup and garlic sauce in small 1 oz containers, but they were not placed on our tray, so we had to get up and ask for them. Again, he apologized. Then, when we received our tray, he let us know they had run out of lettuce and gave us potato beet salad instead, without offering us an option first. We ordered the goat stew plate and the grilled chicken plate, both served in to-go containers. For the plates, you get your protein, then a choice of green salad or potato beet salad, along with either white rice or moro rice, which is rice cooked with beans. We chose the moro rice. I've had Caribbean/Dominican food many times before, and it is usually packed with flavor, so I was honestly surprised that this was bland. This definitely feels like a coaching opportunity for the cook to taste the food throughout the cooking process, because a little seasoning and balance can make a huge difference. The grilled chicken portion was generous, and the plantains were delicious. The guanábana/soursop drink was also delicious, and the tamarindo had good flavor, though it had a lot of pulp/flesh in the cup. That said, the chicken and onion sauce were very bland and needed salt. For the prices being charged, the guest experience should feel more polished. Our total came out to $78 for two plates, two drinks, a small side of beans, and plantains. Pretty costly for what we received. Another thing that stood out was the napkins. When we asked for more, we were only given two additional napkins, which felt very stingy, especially when eating saucy dishes like goat stew. It just didn't feel like the best way to treat guests. As a chef and food safety professional, I also noticed behaviors that need coaching, including apron use when going into the restroom, lack of visible handwashing afterward, and bare-hand contact after scratching the head before touching food containers. These are important food safety habits that should be reinforced immediately. Overall, Karibbean Cuisine has good flavor potential and generous portions, but they need stronger operational structure, better order accuracy, improved guest communication, and tighter food safety practices. At this time, I personally would not come back, but I do wish them all the best in their business. I hope they take this feedback as constructive criticism and apply it in a way that helps the restaurant grow, improve the guest experience, and build long-term guests. If I see changes in the future, I would gladly give them another try. Until then, I truly wish them success.

Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? As has been pointed out, the ladies who frequently work the Benten Bowl truck are wonderfully insightful, friendly, and fast when it comes to service. They're passionate about what they do and it shows. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? A standard bowl at Benten Bowl truck will run you $10.00, and while you'll get a decent amount of healthy food I wouldn't call it a large portion, and you still may well find you're hungry after a single serving. That's no too uncommon given food truck prices these days, but it's noteworthy. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? My Spicy Mayo Ponzu Chicken bowl was clearly assembled with precision, and I could tell immediately tell that the ingredients were fresh. The chicken was well trimmed, the peripherals fresh and flavorful, and the sauces a good compliment. Was it the best chicken bowl I've had? No, but it did hit the spot. Single Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Again this is a good truck for a decent healthy food truck option, but my meal didn't blow me away. No Star Granted.
