This place asks you to arrive 45 minutes early and wait around to see if other people show up for the same tour. They don't know how many people they're expecting. Finally, we depart, and it was on time. We went parasailing on a cold, windy day. The two guys who took us were nice, and the ride was fun. We appreciated that, but the experience itself wasn't what we wanted. It was the memory and the photos of it that we wanted, and they weren't included. We wanted two or three photos taken of the experience. It would have been so simple. Instead, they only use their own Nikon cameras, which don't transfer easily to Google or Android phones. They weren't taken by a professional photographer, just the skipper on the boat, who didn't seem to have any professional photographer experience. The colors were off, and most of my face or my friend's face weren't even clear in the photos. They charge $60 for over 100 mediocre photos. Look at these photos; why would I want these? There were only three photos I actually wanted, and the rest were clearly... well these lol. I was so dissatisfied with this experience that I hate companies that don't include taking a photo of you as a kind gesture. Be better. And then they still want you to tip them on top of all this awkwardness. Does that sound like a fun vacation?

    Very disappointing!

I booked a trip through Viator for our last day. We were told after booking to arrive at 1pm when our excursion started, so we arrived at 1pm. We were told the boat left without us and that we could not get our money back even though they didn't tell us when to arrive. The receptionist told me I should've booked through the sunset website and made me feel bad for using Viator. While walking back to my hotel after being told the boat left, I received a text at 1:13 telling us when to arrive from Sunset Watersports. Unreal and SO disappointing! Do not book here, they don't give you enough information and they are not friendly! There is even a time stamp to show that they didn't tell us the time until way after the boat left. This is a scam.

We were fortunate enough to receive a discounted rate on our package, as our friend who was on vacation with us is a retired Navy veteran. My wife purchased the full package which included all of the amenities on the transport boat (food, drinks), parasailing, jet skis, obstacle course, banana boat rides, kayaking, snorkeling, and paddle boarding. We were unable to book our slot during the weekend, but were able to secure Memorial Day, which we thought would be a slow day for an excursion but boy were we wrong. We were one of the first to arrive in the morning to sign in and fill out all the paperwork and shortly after droves of people starting coming in. The boat was at max capacity and unfortunately it kind of screwed up what could have been a perfect day. Fortunately, we were the first group called for parasailing and right after we finished parasailing, they called us to meet with a second captain to take us jet skiing. I've never been parasailing before and have always been scared to try it. I don't like heights and have a fear of drowning; I had no fear at all during the entire process and I had a total blast. The jet ski situation was pretty much a waste. When we arrived to the dock the dockmaster was pissed off and had an attitude because the groups that were supposed to be docked were still out screwing around which took time off our ride. You literally only get 10-minutes and since my wife and I were together we had to share a jet ski. There is no way to know when your supposed to return to the dock until the dockmaster waves you in. We basically ended up swapping drivers after a few minutes so we both would have an opportunity to drive. Once we were back to the main ship it was time for lunch. The food was actually better than I expected. Pulled pork, large all beef hotdogs, salad, chicken nuggets, fresh green beans, and several other options I can't remember at the moment, but I remember that it was all pretty good and I ate my fill. After lunch we spent the remainder of our time out in the water having fun. The obstacle area had a huge inflated trampoline and rock-climbing area. The kayaking was limited to the areas around the ship but you could go out to a section further away from the group to snorkel near the coral reef. The banana boat ride was a lot of fun too but be warned if you're on there with a group that wants to go fast you are along for the ride. Something to note is that you cannot enter the water once you start drinking and there were two options of draft beer available that is included with the package. They have plenty of other drink options but you pay extra for them. The staff were very friendly and the ship was kept clean. Overall, we had a blast and I would do this again. Knowing what I know now, I will call ahead of booking our excursion to verify occupancy.

I was looking for an experience that wasn't your typical beach day, and to get out on the water for more than 4 hours, and after lots of looking and searching, came upon Sunset for a 5 hour sandbar and dolphin excursion with snorkeling included! When we arrived, check-in was super easy, and it was out in an area that you can walk around, get food/drinks, or shop while you wait to get on the boat. Everything was included for us in this venture. The captain, Dave and Nick took great care of us from the moment we took way! From the instructional safety recap in the beginning, to the opening of the bar, and them keep us full from the sandos, chicken strips, fruit and hummus, we had everything we needed for our adventure! While on the way to our dolphin seeing adventure, we jammed out with great tunes that anyone could jam out to. Again, Nick and Dave were on it with the customer service. Always lending a hand, asking if we needed anything and just being their amazing selves! As we got to the sandbar, we all jumped ship, literally!!! And got to spend just over 2.5 hours out on the sandbar! If it hadn't been for a storm coming our way, we may have gotten just a little more time out there, but Captain made sure we had a wonderful boat ride back, got to see even more dolphins! It was such a great trip, and even the other passengers on board, we had such a great group, everyone was super nice and interactive. It made for one of the best days we've ever had! Will certainly be using you all in the future!

I loved the experience here. Really friendly crew who took care of us really well and followed a lot of safety procedures. Snorkeled at 2 different places and then had some beer and champagne enjoying the sunset on the way home. The water was not as clear as I expected probably due to the storm that happened a few days before. There was a mix of people on the board, including young folks and families with kids. Got to talk with really nice four guys from France who were attending FIT. Truly enjoyable I would do this again.

Ragz booked us the sunset dinner cruise on our last day here in key west today. He did so without looking at yelp reviews ( blasphemy, I know!) and I am kinda glad he did! Because I'm honestly not sure what led to the poor ratings on yelp - we had an absolute blast throughout the 2 hour sail! The crew was super friendly and the DJ played some fun tunes. The cruise leaves at 5 and you check in a starting 4:15 pm. They definitely want you there by 4:45 at the latest. We started on the top deck for about 40 min before dinner opened up. This gave us a chance to witness an absolutely gorgeous sunset over the ocean with sail boats all around us. Keep in mind that this cruise never really leaves the Bay Area - I think at most we were maybe 0.1 miles away from the pier at all times. The purpose is for you to witness the sunset and the calm waters around you while enjoying dinner. The captain did a good job of making sure that every side of the boat got a beautiful view. There is a bar on deck ( you can upgrade to premium drinks for $20 per person), but most drinks are included in the original $79.99 price. For what we witnessed, I think the price is more than fair. They open the buffet for about an hour 15 and it felt like more than enough time - there were only about 40 folks on our dinner cruise. The food was surprisingly tasty - I didn't expect that really. Started with a house salad and choice of 2-3 dressings, and Cuban bread and butter. I skipped the black beans but the rice was delicious. The island chicken was my favorite - slightly sweet with bits of pineapple and very juicy. Ragz liked the pulled pork too and the mahi mahi was cooked well. The jerk corn was also very well done. They don't offer dessert which was a bit of a bummer, but not a big deal. The crew made rounds offering drinks and picking up after patrons. Most people went back for seconds - kudos to the chef honestly! The cruise lasts the entire 2 hours they promise. Lots of time to linger around the DJ post dinner. His tunes were more party after dinner and folks loved dancing too! All in all, a really fun trip and I'd recommend it to people going to key west and wanting a sunset sail! Thanks, crew!

Parasailing today with Rachael and Wyatt! Totally awesome trip! Nothing bad about it, great experience!

Parasailing with Logan & Logan was an unforgettable experience. I am not a fan of heights but from their awesome (horribly funny) jokes, to there knowledge and experience on the water and about the area, it made it easy to forget and just enjoy being in the sun and on the water (and in the wind). These 2 are fantastic. We had such an amazing time and will definitely book again next year!

Reserved a golf cart for the week during Christmas. Booked it months ahead of time. When we arrived at the resort, they had no record of our rental. After several calls, we determined a trainee booked our reservations and didn't tie it to the resort we were at so there wasn't anything on site for us. Uber'd to the pick up spot on the other side of the island. Picked up the cart with no issues. Lady that checked us in was nice and helpful. Took off and got a few blocks away and the cart died right in the middle of the road. Finally got it going again. Went right back to where we picked up the cart. They didn't have any other carts available. As we were discussing options, someone returned one. A little poorer shape than the previous one but supposedly it ran. So we took off. Still had similar issues with it where it wouldn't run when you pushed the gas but we made due. The side mirrors were loose and would constantly have to be adjusted. After a little while of riding, we could smell a strong gas smell. The gas cap was barely on. No harm, no foul there. The speed barely met what would be considered to be an LSV. 20mph on flat surface. Over a bridge, forget about it. I personally own a golf cart so I know how they should run. Our other family members rented from another company. Much nicer cart, much faster, and less money. The nice thing was we were able to leave it at the resort at the end of the trip and not have to return it which would have been a pain. Our other family members were able to do the same thing. Maybe we just got two duds for vehicles. Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. I would have hoped that since we reserved so far in advance and had it for a week that the company would have set aside one of their nicer and well serviced vehicles. I would suggest you shop around as I saw plenty of golf cart rental companies with newer and nicer vehicles.

"The Dazz" (my cousin and I) went parasailing and we had a blast!! Thank you.

Without making a novel sized post, some of the myriad issues we faced included: -One of the heads (bathrooms) was backed up and they did not have the piece needed to fix it. *It smelled for all 4 days* and we could not use that half of the boat due to the smell. That means we went from everyone having plenty of space and 4 bedrooms and bathrooms, to cramming into 2 bedrooms on the other side of the boat. -There was no propane in the tank to use the kitchen oven and stove, and the backup canister was empty too. The grill had enough gas to get about halfway through cooking some chicken before it gave out. They didn't have tanks available to replace them so we couldn't use the kitchen or cook the groceries we bought. -We never got clear instructions on where to find the boat. We had to wander around the marina with all our luggage and groceries for 20 minutes before finding it ourselves. Eventually we were met by the guy checking us in, who was very friendly, but that doesn't help the fact that we were left without any useful instructions or guidance. The boat wasn't even in the slip that was indicated on our contract, we just happened to notice the name as we were passing it by. -The contract is long, convoluted and poorly written, including fees left and right for every little thing out of your control (even $50 per half hour you check in after 5pm - flight delayed? That'll cost you!). On top of that, it includes an image release stating they can use pictures of you in perpetuity in any form of advertisement they like. When I objected I was told they have used that contract for 10 years - as if the length you use a bad contract makes it as good contract. They did eventually assent to me making cross offs, but not until we were actually at the airport boarding our flight, wondering if we would have somewhere to stay. We alerted them to each of these issues as they arose, plus the fact that one of our party fell on the slippery stairs, which do not have a handrail, as they happened. I followed up with them after we departed and never got any type of response beyond that they were 'talking with the owner about it' and it was 'out of my [hands]' (on separate occasions). Finally, the $1000 deposit that they charged (via ACH, not a credit card hold) was not returned within the timeline I was promised. When I followed up I was told it had been returned 2 weeks prior and to follow up with my bank - it was probably "delayed because of the holidays". Well, my bank has no record of it (surprise!). ACH doesn't take 2 weeks to hit, even "during the holidays". I hope to update this with some good news eventually. For now, we've gotten none.

It's been my practice to do something extraordinary every year for my sister's birthday, so when I saw the Expedia advertisement for a VRBO "luxury" yacht rental with Blue Ocean Yacht Charters in Key West, Florida, it seemed like the perfect option. The pictures of the advertised yacht were simply fabulous, complete with quilted blue comforter and delightfully squared matching navy blue pillow shams in the master bedroom, and equally delightful appointed second bedroom with a queen bed, and a third bedroom with adorably immaculate bunkbeds! $400 a day cost seemed more than reasonable, and I booked and paid the full cost the same day--more than a month in advance (even with a $250 cleaning fee included in the $4818 total). My sister (a code enforcement supervisor with Fulton County, Georgia), our friend (Creative Director at Oracle), and I (Title 1 Coordinator in Maryland) arrived and met with the greeter, Daniel, at the Shrimp Road marina at exactly 3:00, well before the 5:00 check-in cut-off (yes, there was a threat to charge us $50 for every hour we were late). It was immediately apparent that the boat we saw was NOT the boat depicted on the website, from the two rickety, weathered chairs to the marred vinyl-covered table under which they were placed. Upon entering the room on the other side of the door, we were greeted with stifling heat and the smell of open sewage. After several introductory conversations with Daniel, our friendly greeter, I took note of the aged stereo system cabinet, the shelves of which were thickly coated with some white dusty-greasy-grainy substance I am--to this day--afraid to name. I decided to walk below deck to determine if the initial red flags led to further horror. The wonderful duvet-covered beds shown on the website? NO. One bed was covered with what appeared to be a mattress cover, creased and yellowed at the foot of the bed. The other? Covered with a polyester, "plushy-style" blanket one would customarily use UNDER a comforter. The third bedroom? Two bunk beds covered with an envelope-styled, closed-ended brown velvet-like blankets with creased, yellowed pillow covers. Most women's impulse would be to check the kitchen and bathrooms. I am no exception. The small refrigerator next to the deplorably filthy stereo cabinet? The crease at the end of the shelves were coated with a brown slime I didn't have to the courage to touch. The under the inner rim of the toilet still had the residue of left-over guests varied dietary preferences, the floor spotted and grimy, the sinks spotted with cumulative nastiness. Filthy, white-coated shower heads? Check. Filthy, throw rugs? Check. Visibly stained installed carpet? Check. Even the toaster was uncleaned, up to and including the lonely crumb that sat visibly perched on the top of the poster. And YES, I was charged $250 on my initial charges in June when I rented on Expedia. NO, I'm not joking. ALL of this I told our greeter, Daniel, who told us that the unit had been cleaned. We discussed our dismay at the quality and cleanliness of the boat, asked about the lack of air conditioning, and asked about the smell that, combined with the heat and motion of the boat, left us reeling with nausea. I then pointed out a smear of something brown on the wall that led downstairs. After I pointed it out, he reached out and wiped it off (yes, it appeared to be wet, not dry) as if it were a smear of splashed prune juice. Given the pervasive smell we experienced on the boat, I dared not imagine it what it actually was. He was not horrified and kindly continued the conversation--nonplussed. Our conversation continued, and given everything we had seen, smelled, and felt, we informed Daniel, our ever-patient greeter, that we could not stay there and refused to check in. While he initially stated that the cleaners could be brought out again tomorrow, by the end of the conversation, he said they could be called back that day. Our thinking? Kim hilariously phrased it most aptly--even if it were sand-blasted, it would not matter because the filth we saw was clearly cumulative and considered a result of long-term neglect. At that point, we asked for a full refund because the property we were shown was a clear misrepresentation of what was depicted on the Expedia/VRBO website. At that point, he stated he would communicate with the host and we left. We later met with the CEO, James (Jamie, I discovered later) Wylly, who asked to meet with us in the Perry Hotel (adjacent to the marina). I assume this offer was made because VRBO had informed him we had complained (we were on the call at the time we received the text). We agreed to meet with him, and--yes, you guessed it (maybe not)--he ultimately (smiling throughout our anxiety-ridden discussion) offered us a complimentary excursion on the yacht. All refused.
