Called Cruisin Tiki and spoke with the owner Donna who was very down to earth and locked six of us in for an early tiki ride. Started a few minutes early and brought a cooler of drinks and chips with a few rafts. Captain Kathy had a great personality and was helpful getting us organized at the sandbar. Spent about 1.5 hours baking in the sun and ocean with a slight drizzle for only ten minutes. Had a fun time, tipped out Kathy and went to lunch at Mac's near our dock.
We had an amazing time on the tiki boat with our captain, Kathy. The weather looked a little ominous when we started our adventure but cleared up quickly leaving blue skies for us to enjoy the afternoon. Kathy was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, giving us a guided tour of the area before arriving at the easily accessible sandbar. The clear blue water was the perfect temperature for us to float on our rafts and socialize with our friends. We highly recommend Cruisin Tikis!
This is my first Cruisin Tiki ride at Key West, but my 3rd overall. My friend had never been on one and I wanted her to experience sunset in key west in the tiki boat! Directions were very easy and the company sent an email and text reminder, which was nice. We did the mellow ventures departure point. There was a bar/ restaurant right there so you could grab drinks, food or use the restrooms before hand. We had a great experience overall. But somehow got paired with a family. I would've preferred to be with a more fun group. But it was still enjoyable.
This was a kitschy ton of fun. You bring your own drinks and then get taken on a ride around the harbor at sunset in this round, unique, tiki boat. It's relaxing, enjoyable and fit for everyone. Your group sits on bar stools in a circle around a round bar and the boat captain in the center steers and calls out a few sights. It's low stress and relaxing plus we got to see a nice sunset. I do need to mention that the captain will recommend you take your shoes off because waves can easily come in to the boat since it's low to the water. No big deal! It's part of the experience. Remember... it's BYOB unless you just want water to drink. We split our large party in to two boats that went out together. Reservations are required! My advice is to get there a little early so you are first in case one the boats is broken. That happened to the last group that arrived. Even though they had reservations, they couldn't go on the cruise because one tiki boat was kaflooey. Street parking across the street at the park was easy for us. Life is good on a relaxing harbor cruise with my wonderful wife and family!
Cathy was an absolute TREAT to spend a few hours with! She was very knowledgeable of the area. We were just out for a cruise and she made it a lovely experience. We saw iguanas in trees and we happened upon a pod of Dolphins. We got up close and personal with an abandoned sailboat. It was a perfect day.
We had an absolutely amazing time on the sunset cruise with our captain, Taylor. The boat was so fun and we really enjoyed seeing the sights, the boats, and hearing about some of the interesting things along the way. Taylor was so great, so accommodating and a wonderful host! He made sure we got in the best spot for the sunset and was just so fun the entire time. Pro tip, get there early and grab a drink and some food to take with you from the Mellow Cafe. The staff is so nice, and the drinks are great! And then come back for one more beverage once you are done with your boat ride. Also, prep a fun play list for your boat ride. You won't regret it! I highly recommend Cruisin' Tikis Key West if you are in Key West for any occasion. Just a truly fun time!!!
Ya ever think you're seeing things? Happens to the best of us. Though when you realize that what you saw is actually real, it can make for some amazing results. I'd say this was the case two years ago when some work buddies and I were in Key West at a bar by the water and looked up to see a floating, motorized tiki bar...um, what? We knew the next time we were down in the Keys that this had to happen. Flash forward to last month when we boarded our tiki bar adventure from Cruisin' Tiki Key West for one of the best experiences we've had down in the southernmost part of the U.S. Now let's lay out the schematics. The tiki structure is really just a floating dock disguised as a bar. Six persons is the max amount of guests aboard a tiki at one time (you can actually link up with other tiki bars if you have a big group) and it's all BYOB, though you can bring any kind of alcohol your heart desires. The tiki will supply you with ice and coolers as well as soda and water (for those in need of a little drink break). Add in a Bluetooth speaker for your own jams (or just listen to the local radio) and you're ready to set sail. Ride lengths and time can also vary, but we didn't want to do anything too long or elaborate so a one hour midday ride was good enough for us. That'll set you back about $300 plus tax, but split that between six people and it ain't half bad. Plus once you're underway it's hard to complain. The views are incredible and you'll get to see and learn some things you might not have known (who knew there was an island of homeless people right off the coast?). What adds to all this is your driver. If you get Russ, then you're in for a real treat. He's living the Key West life with a laid back, informative, fun attitude. He was the perfect final puzzle piece to this fantastic voyage (ha!) aboard "The Freaky Tiki" (yes, the bar had a name). Overall, Cruisin' Tiki's Key West is just awesome. How can you not enjoy yourself on a floating tiki bar off the coast of Key West (the correct answer is you can't!)? Perhaps on our next trip we'll do a longer excursion and/or go for the sunset cruise. Either way, there's high probability that I'll/we'll be returning for another ride aboard the Freaky Tiki. So if you happen to look up and see me floating by in one, just know I'm not a figment of your imagination. Nope, in fact your dreams have come true to cruise the Florida waters in your own tiki bar.
If you're looking for a unique key west experience or Tiki Boat, look no further! We can't speak highly enough of Cruisin Tikis - amazing experience from booking to the actual ride! Booked 3 private sunset tiki boat experiences for a large party of 17ppl and it was an absolute hit! The boats were adorable - all in theme and equipped with coconut cup holders, speaker, lights, cooler, ice, cups, assortment of refreshments, bar stools, & purse holder hooks (like at bars) great captains, & a great time! The captains were kind, knowledgeable, and informative - they were even kind enough to accommodate holding our purses at the helm to make sure they stayed dry. When you're at the dock, they have clean restrooms you can access before and after tiki boat ride.
An excellent experience. We were driving in from Miami and looking for a last minute adventure. This adventure did not disappoint. What an experience.
Ask for Captain Emily for the most amazing cruise! We took a celebratory trip for retirement and had a truly spectacular evening!
Absolutely a must! Great for small or large parties. I did a three tiki private cruise and it went smoothly and everyone had a place. They provide basic things like clean ice for drinks, cups, iced cooler with soft drinks and water, and filtered water. The test is BYOB. The Captains were friendly, professional and followed safety procedures. I would recommend everyone to try this at least once. The only thing is I wished they had longer cruises.
This is a must if you visit Key West. This floating tiki bar was the cutest damn thing. The seats are comfortable and the captain was super cool. He pointed out sites and kept us safe. Gorgeous sunset! This is a two hour tour, so be sure to bring your food and booze- we brought ours from the cafe from where we set sail (The Mellow Cafe)- great food (even has vegan food!) and drinks on tap. Bring a jacket because it gets a little cold on the water after the sun sets and pace yourself drinking because there's no bathroom on board. I'll definitely do this again.

This is my second adventure with Cruisin Tikis Key West which rents dock space from Macs restaurant. Very laid back reservation system directly with the owner Johna. Arrived thirty minutes early to blow up our rafts and register online with an ipod. Brought our snacks and liquor onto the tiki boat with our charismatic captain, Kathy who provided mixers and a quick safety drill. We were off right on time and headed out to the sandbar in the Gulf of Mexico. Light drizzle for the first ten minutes then pure sun for the entire two hours. Loved every minute and would do it again and again. Price is $430 for two hours with a max of six people. read more
What an amazing time we had, I was a little appreciative about going on a floating bar, but our boat Captain Kathy was was fun and attentive to our group. The sand bar was clean and comfortable for us to stand and lounge out. Highly recommend the Cruising Tikis for a fun adventure. read more

If you're on the fence about booking a cruisin tiki...JUMP! We had an amazing time! This was the highlight of our trip! I actually wished we had booked it for both days we were in town because we had that much fun! We had Wendy as our captain and I can't say enough good things about her!! 2 of the guests who booked for our tiki time weren't on time (drunk in a bar at the wrong location) I was worried Wendy would wait for them and our time would be cut short...thankfully she said "the rest of the passengers are here on time so you will have to call the office about getting on another tiki" She 100% did the right thing! You get 2 confirmation emails telling you EXACTLY where and what time to meet your tiki tour so it's you're own damn fault if you don't follow directions! Wendy was super knowledgeable about the area, sea life, beaches, etc... If you book and Wendy's your captain just know you'll be in good hands! read more
This was an awesome trip! We reserved seats for a birthday celebration- chose the swim stop. They are dog friendly!! The captain offered to split the trip and do half snorkeling since i had my snorkel gear but the water was cold so we opted to just stay at the sand bar. They offer coolers and things, the boat is really quiet, and it sailed really calmly as well. We will def go again when the water is warmer. Captain was friendly and accommodating and we all had a wonderful time! read more

This our 5th Cruisin Tiki ride in Key West. Even with the rain in the middle of the sunset cruise, Captain Brian made it an awesome event! We got to see manatees and tarpon. Captain Brian gave us and showed us a lot of interesting KW history. He went out of his way and the 5 of us on board just had a great time! The sun even cooperated after the rain so Captain Brian made sure we were in the right area to get some great pics! Definitely will return to take a 6th Cruisin Tiki ride in Key West!! read more

Tara was the BEST! She was super fun and played some amazing reggae beats for us (we also had the option of syncing our own jams). She took us to a great sandbar (offered floating noodles, to make additional drinks for us,etc.). She also suggested some other great spots for us to check out during our vacation. Ask for Tara to be your Tiki Captain! read more

ABSOLUTE highlight of our trip. Key West has tons of things to do, but this was a nice relaxing way to get into the water while enjoying both adult and regular beverages. The Tiki boat was equipped with a trash can and 2 iced chests. They offered free soft drinks and even a Bluetooth speaker for us to use. We were even able to bring snacks to enjoy along the way. Captain Jim, did an excellent job of explaining the safety rules and answering any questions we had along the way. He was very informative and a lot of fun. We had an amazing time and we will definitely refer everyone we know! read more

This was the perfect experience for our bachelorette trip!! Chris was amazing and helped us with so much! It is BYOB and we loved it that way, she had plenty of room for our drinks and snacks and provided a cooler with ice! We will most certainly be back again! read more

Wonderful tiki cruise! There were 6 of us and we had such a nice experience, Ryan was our Captain and we liked him, Fun & informative. We had a sand bar stopover & sunset view. We had an excellent time on our bar stop cruise. We only stopped at one bar but that's ok. Our captain Dustin was the perfect host and tour guide giving us lots of info and fun facts. We left at 2:30 and returned at 5:00. Brought our own cooler with beer & wine. It can hold 6 but 4 people didn't show for whatever reason so it was just us. Very relaxing and a really fun concept. The only thing I would have preferred is maybe another bar stop but I get that they have to find places with room available to dock and an easy access...none of which is KW. I would definitely say it was worth the $75 or so that we paid pp to do something a little different in KW. We rode around what I call millionaire island...not sure that's the real name but it's the place that stars like Oprah have a house. Give it a try for something fun. read more

My happy place! This has got to be the best day you can spend on the water in Key West! We had an amazing adventure, saw tons of wildlife, sang and danced and played in the water. This was a much needed afternoon with close friends and family. Just the 6 of us, and our Captain Wendy Bolen! We felt like the only people in the whole world. We had an amazing time on our Christmas Day cruise! The boat is perfect for a group of 6, we had the whole thing to ourselves. We took advantage of the BYOB policy and brought wine and cheese aboard and were able to hook our tunes up to their bluetooth speaker without any trouble. Our Captain, Chris, was the absolute best! She was so laid back and knowledgeable and she happily answered all of our questions about the different areas we sailed by. The tiki cruise is a perfect way to get out on the water, learn more about Key West, and just a super fun experience all around! read more
