Our Usual place is closed due to the storm damage, so we booked here as they are one of the only places open with full Kitchenettes. Most of the Restaurants are still closed, Publix is open. I have never seen anything like it. Everyone has been flooded. All the gorgeous St Pete beach homes have been gutted & the entire contents of everyone's homes are on the street. It looks like a war zone. However, when you come into this property it looks immaculate. This place was somehow untouched. The two pools are gorgeous, the rooms spotless & our King Suite was super comfortable. Perfect in every way. Our King Suite has a full kitchen with a full size stove, full size refrigerator & a full size pull out couch with separate AC & fan. The separate King Bedroom & bath were divided by a sliding barn door with its on walk in closet, walk in Marble tiled Shower, it's own AC & fan! Our King bed & bath were super comfy & gorgeous in every way. We even had all brand new towels. Honestly, we can't find one thing to criticize about this place. They even have a wall of "Beach stuff" to use to take to the beach. WOW. This place is just perfect for us. Covered all our needs. We also met the lovely Amanda, she is super friendly, service was excellent. We LOVED our stay at "St Pete Beach suites" & can't wait to return. We have finally found our home away from home OuiOui. Major kudos to Crystal Bay hotel for helping me with that issue. The room was great, not a whole lot of amenities within the room but it was comfortable. They have a pool, and a business center. We arrived around happy hour and a few patrons were sitting around the pool socializing and enjoying themselves. 5 stars for the breakfast! During my phone conversation with the General Manager, Patrick Burns, I felt that I was being repeatedly berated and spoken to disrespectfully. When I told him that I felt he was being rude, he responded by calling me a "fuc*ing bxtch." He then told me that I "need to find a job" and stated that he has been managing the property for 10 years and "isn't going anywhere." When I asked for the owner's contact information so that I could address the matter directly with ownership, he refused to provide it. Whatever the circumstances of a business conversation, I don't believe anyone representing a hotel should speak to another person this way. Disagreements happen, but there is a professional way to handle them. Being called a profanity directed at me personally by a General Manager was completely unacceptable. I'm leaving this review because I believe people should know about my experience dealing with management. I would encourage ownership to review how customer and business inquiries are being handled and, more importantly, how people are being spoken to by management.

We ultimately felt the hotel discount promotion and phone sales was misleading. Ambiguous communication led us to believe we would receive a free night, however we later realized and were told that the discount was already built in to our price, although no sign of discount was found anywhere on our invoice. I'm self employed and I've managed business for 35 years, and I've not seen discounts that don't show on an invoice. Se beware of promotional discount offers as it may not be what you expect, and you'll be left with no way to disprove the phantom discount because it's not on your invoice, apparently is just spoken. Overall service was very good. We had a minor blip in the maritana, which was the wrong dessert brought to us, and presented as "happy anniversary" with a chocolate that said that, but was strangely charged to us. The waitress handled it like a pro. I would advise the chef to either ignore birthdays and anniversaries and that sort of thing, or offer a small free dessert. But definitely don't bring out a "happy anniversary" dessert then charge for it. Also had overcooked hard poached eggs at the society table - no big deal just no runny yolk. If not for the price, who cares? But with such a great menu and fantastic chef, they should get eggs right. No discount offered. But I ate it so... All of our food was great, and really well developed and complete dishes as if it were Michelin rated. Cheers to the chef. Just two very minor fails. Overall it was a nice stay but we won't go back mainly because ultimately they didn't step up over a $600ish discrepancy over a 5 night stay. Look at my reviews. It's very rare I don't write 5 stars. We price shopped Thunderbirds and a few other "resorts" but this was a much better deal on price, and you get a much better stay in the end.
