FINALLY had a Saturday off, and I'm so sad I wasn't able to make it out here before now. I also brought a bag of books to sell. The processing for the books I brought took about 30 minutes (it was an IKEA bag FULL, I just needed to transfer to one of their bins). That gave me time to look around and see what they might have. Not all of my books were accepted, which was fine, because the reason this place is so big and yet does such good business is that the books are well currated to ensure that they are desirable. Older books, or less desirable are kept down to one copy, whereas more popular books may have three or four of the same book, but the book is popular enough that it will be sold. Value wise, the rare, signed, and first editions area is VERY reasonably priced. Value for books brought in is given as either cash (I was given a lesser amount this way) or store credit I walked out with a few of the sequels of book series I have the first and maybe second of, but this way I could complete the series for less. I also found a few books on my TBR that were available. Books are indeed at used book prices, not hugely marked up, so overall I considered the visit a huge win. Overall, I guess my complaint is only that this is the only location, and I wish there was a sister store more toward central or even the west side of Orlando.

Incredible selection of romance books, clearly marked by genre within sections of the store, and a great selection of bookish merch- stickers, kindle port charms, kindle covers, glass tumblers, tote bags and more. Prices are incredibly reasonable, especially if you happen to get a new release or an autographed copy of a book! Be sure to check out the local author area- this store has a greater selection than many I have seen! Be aware, parking in the lot directly in front of the store can be hard- but, street parking is an option, and depending on time of day there's a school about a block away with parking that several businesses nearby utilize after school- but, if visiting during the school year, be aware of after school activities in the lot, keep speed down, and follow the directional signs. East End market IS across the street, so if you visit there and make the short walk, you can take advantage of the entire neighborhood and all it has to offer!

They also have a lot of CDs, VCR tapes, magazines, and many more items I was unable to explore on this visit. We were on our way to a concert and I had about 30 minutes to look for a few music books, which I found with the staff's help. I have to say that the staff were great and knew exactly where they kept the music books, good job! It's good to know this store has a variety of music books to choose from and for the most part they are organized well, except the ones on the floor. You just have to dig a little. I chose two Faber level III piano books and a Bastien level III piano technique book. The Bastien book was only $2 but it has a lot of notes from previous students. The two Faber books were $6 each and virtually untouched, excellent! Some of the books are on the pricey side, especially some of these old music books, they are asking $20 when the covers are missing and music score is illegible. I just don't see myself spending that much when I can put that $20 towards a brand new book series or Henle Album of exceptional quality. Regardless, I want to support local, and have been very happy with my purchase. I will return again to see what I missed on my previous visit. If you love book stores, this is a good one and definitely worth the stop.

We found some beautiful old Bibles, some classic literature, some really cool folklore books, great books on Florida, and my personal favorite, music books. Today I picked out two piano books filled with Christmas songs. Pricing here for these old books are a bit high in my opinion. The one book, 23 pages was priced at $7 and the other, 32 pages was priced at $10. I can usually find these for about $4-$5 each at thrift stores because they are not in high demand. I can't complain too much because when I asked the owner, Doug, for a discount he did give me $4 off, which was wonderful. There were a lot of other music books mostly for guitar that I could see spending a little more money on because they're original prices around $20 to $25. I also found a J.S. Bach Bible of music which intrigued me; however, there was no fingerings and it was missing indications of expression present in several of the books In my library, so I decided to hold off on purchasing that one. What's unique about this store when comparing to other book stores in the area is at this store makes binding repairs and performs leather work, which is a plus. I'm sad to say that this was my first time here today. I had no idea that Doug has been running the store for 14 years now. Regardless, I will definitely return next time I'm shopping in the area.

It is, however, unfortunate that it's near a play area of a shopping mall. Depending on the day and time, the screams can get a bit over-the-top. The owner is great guy - knowledgeable, friendly, and pleasant - and he rightfully has pride about his stuff. He will leave you alone until you pay probably, or initiate conversation. The place is very organized - lots of common sense labelling. If you're terrified of those messy book stores with stacks on the floor that requires rummaging, this place is the opposite of that. Wide variety of topics for such a small spot. I only wish it was bigger! Very well-done though.

A very large selection of bibles and also a very large selection of Christian adult books and children books! Love, love, love! When you walk into the main entrance make a right and just next to the Cafe is this amazing book store! I can spend hours in one, especially when there's the presence of love there! This is my new go to spot when in search of devotionals. I love atmosphere, the people who helped me with my purchase and the easy accessibility of coffee. I didn't get a chance to partake in the coffee, but next time, I will stop by for a treat! By the way, this is currently, the ONLY Christian bookstore in this county! Wanted to buy a Bible and a…read moreRosary today and sell a KJV Bible, well preserved for just $10 instead of just throwing it in the trash as it was my car's previous owner. I go inside and ask first if they buy used Bibles and they say no (later in the back I see they have a full wall with "used books and Bibles for sale; maybe they only sell the ones they get for free? Interesting). Fine. I then ask, if they sell Catholic Bibles, I was looking for RSV-2CE, the owner/manager looks at me like I asked for something crazy, and the other employee then intervened and brings me over to the Catholic section. The Catholic section is, I kid you not, max one foot of width, in a little corner. Alright, I'm just looking through what they have nothing that fit what I was looking for. They had a RSV-2CE by Ignatius which not many know but it has heavy commentary and explanation, so not what I was looking for, a simple RSV-2CE. I then give up on the Bible, I was looking around and I found a good Crucifix for my wall at home. Grab it, but didn't find any Rosary. I keep walking around and I see a JEWISH section at least twice bigger than the Catholic section. First of all, why is there a Jewish section in a CHRISTIAN store? Where's the Islam section? The Hindu section? Second, why is it bigger than the Catholic one? We represent half of the Christians worldwide. At this point I'm like where the hell am I? Let me just buy this Crucifix and leave. I go towards the checkout, and I see an Israeli flag!! What is that doing in a Christian store in America!!?? That was it, I just went back, put the Crucifix back, and just left. But a few times a year, we have Customer Appreciation Warehouse Sale Events, which we shorten to CAWSE - these are open to educators like principals, librarians, and teachers, or anyone who works at or volunteers at schools. Home schoolers are welcome too. Don't be expecting your Saks Fifth shopping experience, folks - this is a warehouse after all. It could be hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Shopping carts, if you're lucky enough to snatch one, are liable to be rickety and a little rusted. The merchandise is not for the most part attractively displayed, nor is there a rhyme or reason as to how they are arranged - at least not one that the uninitiated will understand. But the selection and PRICE are tremendous. Most items are 50% off during CAWSE, with only a few select new and prized merchandise being 'only' 20% off. We take credit cards, cash, and purchase orders, and the staff are helpful and friendly if you can track one down. Check it out if you're qualified to shop here!
