David and his team are GENIUSES. Seriously, they are the Rhodes Scholar of auto detailing. My 2007 Saab was really bad. I hadn't had a detail in a decade and it was just filthy inside and out. It's a NEW car, minus the dent I need to have vacuumed or sucked out and the driver's seat. Saab leather cracks sooner than other brands. My Nissan Pathfinder LE (1998) lasted much longer. I took a video but will get pictures later and upload to phone. I cannot believe the ceiling. Like no one ever smoked! It's shiny, shiny, shiny. They did the interior and exterior, plus engine. Elite detailing isn't cheap but if , like me, you paid cash for your used car and have no payments, who cares? It's like a couple months car payment or so. Do yourself a favor and call for a quote. The website has no prices but they also do ceramic coating, with several tiers of packages. You can do a mini-detail or just regular car wash but if you leave the car with them for a day, they will give you a NEW CAR back at the day's end. I'm still on Cloud 9. Floating! Every time I see my baby, I smile! PS. THE SB INDEPENDENT BEST OF LIST IS HORRIBLE. The best acupuncturist, not just in SB but California, is Anthony Kar. He's probably the best in America. He wasn't on the list. My friend, Evan Schoolnik Berger, has a food tour company that didn't make the list. My chiropractor and gym made it. Barry Family Chiro and SBAC/SWELL are the best in town. Look my brand new to me 2025 bmw m2 to get a paint correction and ceramic coat for 3k. Was feeling confident that everything would be done right with no issues. After paying and excited to get my car back looking newer than ever I was inspecting the car and noticed quarter sized paint chip on the passenger side and rim rash. I confronted David about it and ofc denied it. After taking it home for the first car wash they missed multiple spots with the ceramic coat. Again confronted David and said that's not possible. After showing a video clearly showing it wasn't ceramic coated. Finally agreed to fix it. After that I got a new part added and wanted it coated and paint corrected as well. I paid $300 for that part and the original missing panels to my surprise issues weren't done as promised. After going back the 3rd time. I dropped it off for the whole day then didn't touch the car at all. Wasted my time. 4th time same thing. Finally after the 5th visit it finally gets done after being pushed off for days up to two weeks. If you care about your car and wanted to get the service and respect you deserve. DO NOT GO HERE. Honestly - David and his team exceeded my expectations. They recently redid my half doors to correct for the weld marks left by the last shop, redid all of its hardware too from the kit as it faded and started to chip, and finished it off with the most thorough deep clean and detailing. You'd think it was new and not 10+ years old with lots of abuse. These guys truly worked some magic to bring my rig up to this point. Amazing work and have nothing but great things to say about their workmanship and attention to detail. Go anywhere else BUT here. Seriously. Don't say I didn't warn you. I was wanting to get my newly vinyl wrapped car ceramic coated to extend the life & protect it. I began searching for someone in the area to do the job. I was wanting a specific brand used which is supposed to be high quality ceramic... ceramic pro. After some research only certain shops can carry & apply the ceramic pro product.. David being one of them. He's a certified installer yes, but not an elite dealer which I wasn't aware there was a difference in the beginning when I scheduled. After talking to him about ceramic coating my car; he wanted us to pay half the service up front ($780) for him to order the product. No contract, nothing but a Venmo link. Sketch. Thank goodness we did the business protection.. that saved our butt later. He said the product would be there & car finished in a day so I would have it back & completed on a WEDNESDAY. After THURSDAY came & went & we never got a update on what was going on I decided to cancel the service. It was supposed to be completed already & I wasn't kept in the loop at all. After I found out he wasn't an elite dealer either that changed things for me. Another big part of canceling was because he's overcharging customers for ceramic pro. (He's really overcharging for all his services) but he wanted $1500 when we found out the ELITE dealers charge $1000 for the exact same service. That just confirmed my suspicion of him being shady. When we reached out to him he said the product was held up in shipping, & was now magically going to be there the next morning. I stood firm on wanting to cancel as I was already annoyed with the customer service & being without my car those days now wouldn't work with my schedule... David wouldn't give us our money back. Even though he didn't do any work, supposedly had ordered the product but it hadn't arrived yet. After arguing with him over & over about just giving us our money back & getting absolutely no where I had to file a dispute through Venmo. David's idea of making the situation right was offer us $1,000 in services AT HIS SHOP, or only $500 back "because he had to order the product" whattt?? So you can still use it when it comes in on another car & make profit? No. Not right. Finally I decided to reach out to the company ceramic pro to see if there was anything they could do to help. That was the only thing that worked. Otherwise we would've had to wait til Venmo concluded our dispute. He finally gave it back to us minus the fee Venmo charges which we found out he actually ripped us off on that too. Overcharged us for venmo fees... How could you be okay keeping someone's money for a job you never even did? & the time you "set aside" for the job to be done came & went... so it's not like he lost business by us canceling or anything. So so so wrong. Shady business practices. I will never recommend this company to anyone & will be telling everyone to avoid this place. I've seen he's done similar things like this before on other reviews too. BEWARE. read more

Was expecting a phenomenal job after reading all the great reviews but there were plenty of wax marks left on my car, along with a layer of dirt on each of the rims and part of my car's clear bra was left torn and ripped/fraying. I took my car in for a minor repair. I was charge $500. for a deposit and told it was for parts. However, this was a minor repair and no parts were involved. Two days later, I bought a car and traded in the one I was going to have repaired. I notified merchant by phone and e-mail that I no longer had car thus, I would not need the repair. It has now been almost 3 weeks and my money has not been returned. I have e-mailed him 4 or 5 times each time he has replied with yet another excuse. David, the man that owns this business is NOT to be trusted. All he has done since taking my money is lie about returning it. He also tried to charge me $20.00 to use my credit card without disclosing that he would be doing so. In California, currently, it is not legal to charge folks for using their credit cards. They do a nice job, but are very very expensive. Have used them twice, the last time, I had a pair of expensive sun glasses left in the glove box. Found the case on the back floor and no glasses. Of course, as one would expect, they took zero responsibilities and actually tried to convince me that I misplaced them. Problem was, I keep the same pair in several of my cars and never removed. There are better places and ones with prices a little more fair. I had them apply ceramic pro to all my cars, concept, never have to wax again, and then they tell you that it needs to be renewed each year, cost for that $900. Never again will I ever use them for my cars and I have a good collection and am a car guy. Stay away. read more

You're likely asking 'is Sunshine' any good. The answer is 'they're fantastic'. And they're honest. And they're on time. When was the last time you got auto work done, done well, done on time, and done at the price quoted? We got all three from David. And... The longer answer is that our car basically looked as if it had sat in a junk yard in the dessert for years. The clear coat on the hood was peeling and where it wasn't peeling, it was hazing. The rest of the paint was faded and the interior wasn't exactly great. When we went to pick up our vehicle, I actually walked past it not recognizing it. When David said it would look like a new car, he wasn't kidding. Ours is an ordinary car, nothing exotic at all. David worked his magic regardless. A great job, at a fair price, delivered on time. I don't know about this review below because MY EXPERIENCE was completely different. Here is the REAL TRUTH of how it went for me personally. I called the day of, they picked up and said what they can do. I said just interior, they said ok we'll be there in 15 20 minutes and they were. I told them my car was filthy and it was stinky. They showed up promptly and picked up the car. A few hours later I get a call the car is out front. I paid 250 for my interior and gave 50 dollar tip and to my suprise the exterior of my car was washed and my tires and rims. NOTHING was stollen from my vehicle or damaged. I left my trunk filled with stuff. NONE of my speakers were damaged. I had no issues like the man below. I have a smaller car so I would suppose my vehicle costs less then a big car. They went above and beyond and basically gave me a 350 job for 250 plus my tip. THEY SUPRISED ME WITH THAT! here are your photos. don't go anywhere else. these guys are legitmate. They are an amazing team. I ordered a detail service first and my car came back as new (it was _literally_ cleaner than when I picked her up at the dealership.) Now I am just ordering washes every couple of weeks and they always go an extra mile.
