Brought my 2015 F150 Lariat that I bought from them in for a starter issue that took 4 days to diagnose that they fixed. way too long. -1100 for that fix but they did other things so good with that. Got the truck back after they ripped it apart and have a vent actuator problem that wasn't there before. Was told we never looked there, but yet, they were looking at my ignition switch which was right there. I bring it back. They tell me $2700 to pull the dash as "they go". I changed the actuator and fixed it it for $30 bucks. Don't go to John Booth because he didn't even understand that my vents weren't working. I wish Yelp had a zero rating. read more

I decided to trade in my 21 Expedition with only 51k miles on it for 4k less than Carvana offered and pay 1k more than promised for a used 2012, mostly because my salesman (Yves) was super nice and his manager Lance was also, I wanted to support local as well and I'm trying to live in my "no car payment" era. Fast forward one week from getting the car and realizing that the motor in the driver side mirror didn't work. Called service, took it in and after a full 8 hours of no update, I had to call myself for them to tell me that the 30 day warranty wouldn't cover that. Something I obviously didn't notice before buying the vehicle. It was just bad business and disappointing and they were requesting 2k to fix it. Words cannot begin to even explain what an awful experience this dealership is. Stay far away unless you want to continue to experience issues even months after you purchase the vehicle. Dealer registered the car to the wrong address, KNEW they did, and still sent us the registration without saying anything even after the postal service sent them back the registration. On top of it, they screwed up the insurance which caused DMV to suspend the registration. And because they registered it to the wrong address, we were never notified until we were pulled over. They refused to assist with getting things fixed and took ZERO accountability for their mistake. Imagine having a brand new car that you cannot drive and will owe the DMV hundreds of dollars due to their mistake and they refuse to make it right. Even after speaking to multiple people, including a VERY rude and disrespectful manager, it's clear this dealership does not care about their customers or keeping business. My personal experience with sunshine Ford wAs when I needed a rim for my Ford. The staff was courteous, order the parts needed, set up a time I could afford to go. The price of the rim was a bit expensive, so they decided to work with me on saving money in other ways. my husband's car wouldn't start so he had it towed to sunshine ford (lss - huge mistake). they said they had a shuttle & would get it diagnosed over the weekend, reasons he went with them over a shop (his car is long out of warranty). 4 days went by with no diagnosis. Monday morning my husband called for the shuttle as his west point base ID is in the car & they said they'd pick him up. hours go by, he called repeatedly & kept being told they'll pick up soon. nearly the end of the day (15:30), after having missed work all day, he called & got someone who said they don't have a shuttle! he asked for a manager but they claimed the manager is always out of the office. finally he complained enough that they offered a loaner vehicle. he was in the loaner about to pull away when the service manager came running out to take it back because I had left a review. they required me to remove the review or they'd take the loaner back, so I removed it. they said they wanted to start with a clean slate & earn our business, so he gave them another chance. the next day they said his car was ready, claiming it was just bad gas. he wanted to replace the spark plugs & put the hundreds in diagnostic fees towards the work, but ford refused because of my (removed) review. so I'm reposting my review since they banned us. I wish I had seen yelp first, their Google rating is inflated as I suspect they coerce people into removing reviews much like they did with us. read more

Showed up for my appointment and he said someone walked in 10 min. Before and currently looking at the truck. He had me wait. Then handed me the key to check it out. While I was in truck he walked over and said other person is buying it. I had an appt. They were a walk in. My appt. Should have been honored and he should of told the walk in they were 2nd in line. This sunshine ford in Newburgh ny is awful!! I brought my car in for a recall on the driver side airbag and they returned my car with a passenger side airbag dashboard light on. They said they didn't do it and it's just a coincidence. So they let me leave with nonworking airbags in my car and I have a sick husband and two children that I drive around to school and to doctors appointments. They refused to take responsibility for messing up my airbags. I will never buy a Ford or use their service repair Ever again. The owner was aware of the situation and didn't care. read more

I've owned DOZENS of cars in my 54 years. I've never paid sticker price, much less OVER sticker for any of them, but I understand that we live in crazy times, and I am absolutely a capitalist! I defend the right of anyone to charge any price for anything they want...so long as I am not obligated to buy it. I am well aware that some Ford Dealerships are charging over MSRP for vehicles, and equally aware that there is little you, can or should do about that. I, as the consumer, have resolved NOT to pay over MSRP, or to EVER give my business to a dealership that would charge more than MSRP, which is my right. After what seemed like months searching, I finally located an Oxford White Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks at Sunshine Ford in Newburgh, NY, over 75 miles from where I live in Tyler Hill PA. Around noon on November 18, 2021, I spoke with with Randy SCHMIDT, who confirmed that the car was available. I told SCHMIDT at least three times that I was aware that there were some dealerships charging over MSRP for these vehicles, but that I was unwilling to pay more than MSRP, and that if Sunshine was one of those dealers charging over MSRP that he should save me the 150 mile round trip. This conversation was WITNESSED on my end. SCHMIDT all but guaranteed that I would be able to purchase the car at MSRP, which prompted me to get there as soon as possible. When I arrived at the dealership approximately two hours later, after exchanging the usual pleasantries, SCHMIDT advised that currently the Ford Bronco Sport was selling at over $10,000 over MSRP, but that he was willing to work with me, and he showed me a document that was "only" charging me $5000 over MSRP. As you can imagine, I was, and frankly still am apoplectic. That jack xxx wasted my entire afternoon, not to mention a half a tank of gas. I understand its the dealers right to do this, but I DO think it's Ford Motor Company's duty to ensure that salespersons representing their brand deal honestly with customers. SCHMIDT is a bald face liar. If he were honest about the dealership policy, I would have looked elsewhere, and you wouldn't be reading this. He STOLE my afternoon after I specifically told him I would not pay a nickel over MSRP. I spent the lion's share of my career in federal law enforcement, and if I had done what SCHMIDT did, I would have been fired and quite likely prosecuted. I can't imagine that anyone reading this would not be as outraged as I am writing it. Stay as far away from This dealership in general and SCHMIDT in particular as is humanly possible. Terrible dealership. The service department has broken things on our vehicles several times without telling us. When confronted they lie to your face. I just purchased a brand new vehicle and had a mobile detailer come to the dealership to ceramic coat the vehicle before it hit the road. The detailer said the marks that are now on my vehicle were not there when he finished and he has pictures. He also saw where you can tell they buffed the damages and got compound on the plastic. The dealership is once again denying and lying. They had the detailer in the garage area with toolboxes and people all around. One of the idiots damaged my car and they know they did because they tried to cover it up. I took my vehicle to a body shop and the only proper way to repair it is to replace the whole quarter panel. That's unacceptable. It's a BRAND new vehicle. The Ford Motor Company has been notified. Do not do business with this dishonest dealership. The worse service ever. I make appointments for service and the service is always horrible. They give you a date and time for service which they never meet. Service doesnt keep you posted on your vehicle you constantly have to keep calling them. If you have a luxury truck/car they never loan you anything up to par. Inquired about car, received a price at $30k over the MSRP. I submitted information with recent nationwide sales prices for 20+ identical vehicles that were being sold at reasonable prices. I am an extremely unsatisfied customer. I purchased a 2019 Mustang GT only 8 months ago and I began having problems with my tires. Your service department has done everything they can to avoid me by pushing me to someone else, taking my information down and telling me I will be contacted shortly then never receiving a call. It has been well over 3 months of this, I have called many times and no help at all, they take my information down and tell me to wait for a call, I wait a week and a half and nothing, I call back and same thing full-circle. I have been extremely patient and it has been taken advantage of. I do not live in New York, so I cannot go in-person unfortunately. I came here to look at a certain vehicle that was listed on the website and explained to the salesman that I was not ready to buy, but just browsing and was curious to get an estimate on what my current car would be worth. After grossly underestimating the value of my trade, they told me the "Internet" price of the car and acted like I was getting a deal. After leaving the dealer I was called back and they told me they could give me about $1,500 more for my trade. Why not just give me an upfront value when I am there, so maybe, just maybe I would have considered buying it. Would not return. Less than two months from last visit and brake job, they are trying to sell me front rotors and brake pads. Tried to negotiate a reasonable price given they should have picked up the miss from the previous visit. The Customer Service Manager, Jeff, was rude and obnoxious. Experience left a lot to be desired. It is a shame, because the previous visit the experience was stellar service. The manager is a poor excuse for that role. Well I've never bought a car from them but I did try several times to try and take my truck in for repairs. I have an older model Explorer and after several days of trying to get word back on cost and setting a date to bring it in I gave up. I was told multiple times that I'd get a call back and never did resulting in me having to call them back just to hear the same thing over again. I was actually planning on trading in my old Explorer for a new one next year but after seeing how they conduct themselves I've changed my mind and I'll be going to Honda instead. I called the dealership to see if I could bring my car in due to a check engine light. James told me I could bring it in right away. My vehicle needed to have an inspection done, they could not do it until the check engine light was repaired which was under warranty. I was informed I had to have my tint removed from the windows due to a new New York state law. I was extremely upset by this, not at James but just the situation and James handled himself very well. I bought in 2008 a brand new Ford 3500 Truck from them. This truck is my baby! I treat it like gold. It was never even taken out in bad weather. As requested by the dealership, I've always taken the truck to the dealership for oil changes and repairs. On June 14, 2011 I took my truck in and was asked if they could keep it over night as there were some recalls on the truck. This was not an issue and I gave them my keys and left the truck. The following day I was called and asked if I picked up my truck and responded "NO". They proceeded to tell me that my truck was reposed. WHAT! I have never missed a payment nor been late. One phone call to the bank cleared that up! Next they told us that there were recovered items such as our car door opener and some papers from the truck. They also had the key. We stopped by the dealership to claim our items and the owner's son took my husband into the office and asked him if there was anyone else on the loan. "Yes, my wife!" "Are you two fighting and did she take the truck?" We have been happily married for 16 years! No we're not fighting and the "wife" didn't take the car! He alos told us that this was not going on his insurance as Bill had signed a waver - The only waver Bill signed was the so that they could work on the truck (standard waver). He also refused to give us our items back as he stated that they were found on his property and he was going to keep them in case the police needed them! When I contacted my insurance agency to inform them of the accusation that were made and how our property was not returned to us they informed us that when they contacted the dealership they were very uncooperative. They told my insurance company that they were to "busy" due to hail damage to deal with this issue. Also they told the insurance agency that they had not reported the theft to their insurance agency since they did not feel that they should be held responsible. Finally, when we spoke with the cop and told them about how we could not get our personal belongings back we were told by the cop that they told them that they did not need it as evidence as too many people had touched it and to return to us. This is beyond upsetting. We took a truck in to be serviced, it gets stolen and we the victims are being treated like we took it! Not only "did we" own a Ford Truck but also own a Lincoln MKX - From this point on I will never buy a Ford product again! read more
