My experience was TERRIBLE and I will NEVER return here. This was my first time on a recommendation and it was just depressing. I spent over 1k in ONE DAY for my sister, my niece and I for lashes , and hands/ toes. It was NOT CHEAP , needless to last the DAY after my nieces one eye was COMPLETELY empty of lashes and the other was gone by day 2. Mine also were completely empty within night 2. The WHOLE time the owners hubby was doing my nieces nails she kept telling him what she wanted and he would say wait till the end but it was still completely different. She asked him nicely to at least fix one really bad part and he huffed and puffed and pretty much in a nice way said no, It's gonna be like this or nothing. My niece just came back from the keys and we were supposed to gave a great girls day that was just not what we expected. I still paid, I still tipped. But I will never be going back and had to at least say I highly DO NOT recommend lashes, she doesn't do a pre-wash, she cuts long lashes for smaller sizes instead of actual smaller lashes, her gloves kept getting stuck to the tape ripping my eyebrow hairs out, she kept going in an out doing nail services then coming back to work on MY EYE. And that's just the least of it , needless to say It honestly was just a big disappointment. read more

Overall, the place and staff were charming and they do decent designs. Knew that some design would increase from the $32 fill-in gel manicure price I was told, but was sticker shocked when I was rang up for $58. Felt bad that I couldn't tip 20% [didn't expect such an up charge!] until I left the salon and found cut corners: uneven lines with gaps on the sides, bubbles on my topcoat and 6 nails having dried gel overlapping the nail bed. I've been here 2 times before. The first was ok. The 2nd time was really good! This time I came from the shitty nail place inside Walmart. I stopped them halfway through because they told me they couldn't do designs. They sucked the girl didn't even paint my whole toe and the guy didn't even take all my polish off. I came into Lux and had to wait 15-20 minutes but let me tell you Johnny was amazingly fast and worked with such precision. He even fixed my toes. From when I first walked in, the presentation was great. Then I sat down with one of the guys and he would rush me to choose a color. He literally did my nails in 30 min. As you can see from the picture, this is what my nails look like after a week. It to mention that it's not the shape I asked for either. Now let's move on to my pedicure, I'm allergic to latex so they had another guy do my toes, everything was good until he thought my toe nails weren't at the length he thought they should be and cut my pinky nail so short he cause me to bleed. He dug to much to get an ingrown nail that was never there causing me to bleed on my big toe and on top of it all I was charged $120. Mind you I told the guy this wasn't I wanted. Asked about the specials, offered $18 first time visit deal. Nail polish to gel price is an additional $17. The color palette pic is gel or reg. We arrived in the shop and no waiting, seated right away, they had plenty staff available. The massage was AMAZING...Ging used great pressure. The best touch was the wine! Since they weren't busy & Even when we were done, we were offered another glass while we dried in the wonderful chairs. So I'm a frequent customer at this salon but after today I don't think I'll be returning. I usually go in for a mani/pedi and/or a brow wax. But because my usual esthetician was unavailable, I decided to try the Brazilian waxing at Lux since I was gonna go in for my brows anyway. Firstly, I'm accustomed to the hard wax technique but Lux uses soft wax meaning they spread the wax with a stick and then rip it off with paper strips. The pain wasn't much worse than hard wax but I was shocked when Kim used baby powder on my private area as I had never seen anyone do that before when waxing. I asked her to not put it inside me when my legs were spread and she assured me it was "just powder". The risks associated with using baby powder internally were all I could think about. The powder and the paper strips left me feeling very chafed and raw afterwards. Not to mention that when she began waxing, I asked to make sure she also was going to do the butt strip and she said yes. It wasn't until after she finished waxing my front side that she told me that waxing the butt would be an extra $9! Mind you, the waxing services already cost $42 and you're paying that amount for soft wax AND a "Brazilian" without getting the full product you would get at any other salon?! 0/10 would recommend getting a Brazilian here because you will have to head straight home to shower and wash away baby powder and soft wax residue. I got baby powder all over my yoga pants. Additionally, this is a salon/nail bar and while I waited for my appointment I was not offered any wine or beverages at all. read more

No, no, and HELL no. Anna is lovely and pretty much the only reason I settled on this spot. My experience here was so terrible, it has taken me a few months to write a review. Every now and then though I pass the photos of those nails in my camera roll and shudder. As lovely and polite as Anna is, I cannot justify more than 1 star. I asked for a full set, brought in a photo, and it seemed as though everything was off to a good start. I left, came home and the following day I was washing my hands and horrified to see that ALLLL 10 nails were lifted SEVERELY. The next day!! I called and was told that they guarantee their work, and having just spent quite a bit I wanted to give them the opportunity to make it right. I sat for over an hour after my appointment time and was seen after complaining about the wait. A different tech took me back to a crowded bunch of tables where everyone seemed to have colds and were sniffling and coughing into their masks which was gross enough, but then I was mortified when he started trying to pry the remaining acrylic off my nails with a nail tip which caused me to fly out of the chair in pain. I needed acetone to soak, and refused his 2nd attempt to take the nippers to my already sore nails. This job was a 5 out of 10 in terms of work, and due to the cramped tables 2 separate times someone getting up from a station bumped the table which caused the drill to slice into my cuticle area on different fingers. I gagged when he sopped up the blood without gloves, and threw the bloody tissue on the table and kept working. I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there and never return. I'm lucky enough to have not gotten an infection from the very unsanitary and cluttered conditions. I am very loyal in regards to going to the same nail technician. Unfortunately, I came to Lux after being referred by a friend. The guy who did my nails stated that he could do pink and white Ombre. I sit in his chair to get a full set. He rushes and is very unprofessional in regards to the conversation he engages in. Literally TWO days later my nails are lifting and one even comes off. Imagine my surprise when I go back and ask for them to be fixed and they make it out as though I am making it up. They fix them, after consulting with each other in their native language. But, again two days later guess what? Same thing. I wouldn't recommend them due to the quality of their work not being worth what you pay. I am very unhappy and out more money than what I would have paid had I stayed with who I usually allow to do my nails. read more

Mind you, I love to have those unique, show stopper, one of a kind nails. When I went back to the other place, they were so rude so I walked out. I've seen Lux Nail Bar on FB and wanted to come in for awhile now. After I walked out, I called Lux and they had an opening. Needless to say, I have found my new nail spot. The staff are all so friendly. John is my nail tech and I love his creativity and he is great at what he does. I let him do his own twist and he doesn't let me down. From the reviews and the salons social media pages, it appeared that this place did beautiful work and was very professional. The first time I came, I was satisfied with my SNS dip manicure and it lasted 4 weeks. I came the next time to get a new set and the nail tech pulled a nail tip from the drawer and ripped my dip manicure off instead of soaking them off. It was PAINFUL and I asked if we could soak it off and was told no because they're already coming off this way. The drill also touched my skin and caused me to bleed a bit. I was really proud of all my nail growth from the past month but all of my nail past the stress point literally ripped off along with the dip manicure. My natural nail is now extremely thin, rigid, and fragile. I ended up going to another salon 3 weeks later to get a new set and was told that it appears that the nail tech from Lux Nail Bar over drilled my nails as well. It really sucked because my reason for getting the dip manicure is so that my natural nails can grow out with minimal damage. I am from out of town, this is the second nail salon I tried, and was 100 percent better than the 1st. Kevin did my nails, and pedicure, I am going for my 3rd visit tomorrow before I had to my sons wedding in Tennessee. The staff is friendly, the wine in nice, they have polish that matches so your fingers and toes are the same color, (finally). Had a great visit in Mother's Day with daughter and granddaughter. We all had manis and pedis. Staff was very attentive and interactive not like some nail places where they just talk to each other. Going back today to have my mani gels done. My pedi is in great shape. Glad to find a place open on Sunday. Some of the decor is in need of a refresh/update as it looks as though it was hand done and could be repaired. Thought the extra charge for gel was a bit high but overall pleased. read more
