She is a diligent, caring and knowledgeable dentist who cares about her patients. Her staff is also efficient, friendly, have a great chair-side manner, and are very well trained in their profession. One of our daughters lives in Los Angeles, and when she comes home she likes to come to Dr. Careswell for her checkups; they are always accommodating to her and get her in and out with no problems. My 12 year old son loves going here as well; no issues about having to see the dentist whenever he has an appointment! In all our years of working with her on the business side, and having her as our dentist we have NEVER seen any of the problems or attitudes a Yelp Reviewer posted recently. I dreaded it for DAYS but when the moment finally came, I was stressed out yes, but the staff were super nice and friendly and I was eligible for gas which lessened my anxiety by A LOT. Also they always kept me in the loop as to what they were doing and I was never belittled or made to feel like I was an awful person (I am super self-conscious about my teeth) and they actually made a plan with me for future appointments. 100/10, the best dental experience I've ever had and they are GREAT with dental anxiety. Will definitely be going back. My only critique is the office in Lawrence is a liiiiittle difficult to spot if you don't know what you're looking for. But I'd say it's worth it.

Here is my experience: Customer Service: 9/10 The ladies at the front desk are kind, professional, and organized. The hygienists wear PPE and are very thorough. They all so kind and welcoming. My kiddo always feels comfortable when we come here. Diversity: 9/10 I appreciate the fact that Dr. Stinnett has a diverse staff of hygienists. This is something that I have not observed other places, so it is refreshing to see other cultures working here. Safety First: 9/10 They do an excellent job of following COVID-19 protocols. Though masks are not required for patients and their families, they have plexiglass around the front desk, masks, and hand sanitizer available. I am not a fan of magazines in the waiting room (germs) but I understand the point. Patient portal: What I would love to see for current and future patients is the ability to access patient records and visit summaries. I do not always remember what was told to me by Dr. Stinnett and I would love to review past and current visits. Scheduling: If you are wanting your kid to be scheduled for a cleaning, be prepared to wait. I called in December to schedule a routine cleaning and the first available was mid-April. Once you are in office, I suggest scheduling visits in advance to avoid a several month wait. Communication: Dr. Stinnett is amazing at communicating what happens during the cleaning/service. She has a great approach to a plan of action for next steps and is always so friendly and thorough. She always keeps her patients best interest at heart and always takes her time. Her staff is always great at letting the patients know if she's running behind. Overall: 9/10 This is a great place to bring your kid for dental services. I have been very fortunate to have healthy teeth although I have worn dental braces for a number of years, as a child as the alignment of my teeth was extremely bad and would have led to losing my teeth at an early age and having to wear dentures. I wore braces and had orthodontic treatment since grade 1 through me telling the dr. (While in college) Um, you have to get these off by a certain date as I'm getting married and moving to a different city, I won't be back- wind this up and finish. And then again as an adult (to correct what the original orthodontist did as a child). To say that I was extremely nervous was an understatement given my orthodontic care as a child. They probably didn't realize the extent of my fear but I did say that I was nervous. They all kept me informed about what to do and what the next step was of the treatment and what would happen. Everyone from the receptionist to billing to the hygienists are so nice and friendly. They use hydrotherapy to clean teeth which is amazing. Instead of the constant scraping they use powerful water that leaves my teeth squeaky clean.
