Staff was friendly enough but I will not be returning. Went in for a severe allergic reaction, had them evaluate me if I should stay there or proceeded to the ER, and was told they could treat me, spoiler alert not true. I was given a shot and Zyrtec and sent on my way with prescriptions (that I was unable to pick up). Less than an hour later I was on my way to the ER because my reaction got worse and I could feel my throat closing up. The team there is amazing I went in a little bit after they opened so I didn't have to wait long at all even with a couple people already in there they seemed to be moving very fast and diligent. The woman who brought me in was so kind I wish I got her name. The doctor was also so kind very friendly and very helpful I told the woman I was graduating this Friday and as soon as he came in he told me congratulations which goes to show they all communicate with each other very well! this office should receive nothing but five stars from the time you walk in the door at the front desk to the time that you go back and see the doctor they are professional. They are kind. The doctor takes time It's very hard to find a doctor to do that these days always in a hurry. I don't know if I saw Dr. Howell. The last time that I went I think they have a few doctors but was wonderful. I had a mole that had been taken off for basal at my dermatologist. It was taken off by a PA at a very reputable office. Well infected. He gave me medication to put on it and it helped it until I had to go back to get the rest of the basil sell out so now it looks like it's infected again so I'm going right back to urgent care today. I'm not going to the dermatology office. I know I'm going to get excellent care. I wish I could have them as my primary care office they're wonderful. We were extremely satisfied with our treatment, both in dealing with the intake staff and Dr Howell. Very professional. The intake staff took time to thoroughly explain the insurance policies. I came into the office and the first thing I noticed was how clean it was. I also like the layout of the front welcoming area. Water was available and plenty of seating. Receptionist kept our bank card for long time. Immediately after leaving we received numerous amounts of Cash App withdrawal s from our bank account. Then a notification that someone tried to add my card to their Apple Wallet. Transaction that was successful said Cash App Jorden Bri. This has never happened to me in all the years I have had the account. Someone also called shortly after asking for our social security number and bank login information. I contacted manager. Haven't heard back. Contacted Florida Attorney General's office to report. Receptionist has all of our personal information, so easy for her to steal info and use directly or feed it to someone she knows not directly affiliated with the business. Sometimes an urgent care is like a box of chocolates and you don't know what you are going to get. I was in Bradenton for a week and wanted to see a dr for a pain in my back. I selected this urgent care due to the reviews and that I would see a dr. I got an appointment the same day via their easy online schedule system. I saw Dr. Michael Powell and I could not have been more pleased with his service. He listened, examined and gave me his initial diagnosis. In house they gave me an X-ray, urinalysis and blood work. All results were discussed within 1/2 hour of tests. Dr. Howell wanted me to have a cat scan and got that scheduled the next day. The nurse was also excellent. The whole team was excellent. When you are not feeling well, you want immediate services and that's what Sunshine provided me. I would highly recommend this location and provider. read more

Whew- brought a sick friend in 630. Girl front desk was pretty unwelcoming. Made her fill out stuff on iPad. Waited . Another girl came from in back looking like she was gonna pass out. She was employee- might have been expecting. After listening to first employee complain she was there over 10 hours. They took friend back. I know they work hard but it's so unprofessional - if you hate hours quit. Management needs to school employees. read more

Horrible admission and intake process, electronic systems are so slow you spend 45 minutes trying to just get admitted into their systems and finally at the end of it, if you don't agree to keep your debit and credit card info active and permanently on file here you can't get admitted into their system. They will keep your debit and credit card info on file unless you actually call in and tell them to remove it. They force you to go onto their WiFi network to self register on your phone, when you do that and have an iPhone after 15 min you find out the system doesn't work to take a pic of your drivers license with an iPhone, the most common phone in the US. So then you wait until they can get you an I pad, oh and the iPad doesn't work to register in in the room due to bad WiFi connection so you are sick, with a mask on standing in the lobby w everyone else trying to input into an iPad that also doesn't work, takes a minute for it to register a single field entry and if it doesn't register you don't know for a minute because you have to wait so long to tell if it worked or not. At the very end of this 45 minutes of irritation it tells you they won't treat you unless you agree to give them your debit and credit card info for them to keep on file and automatically bill when your EOB is finalized with insurance. I work in healthcare and work in informatics and for a sick person to come in and have to deal with this utter failure of IT systems and deceptive business practices is ridiculous. read more

I had a horrible UTI when this clinic first opened. I see someone left a mean review due to not accepting insurance. I believe this person was very unfair because Dr Howell treated my infection and went above and beyond to help me financially. I wouldn't go to any other urgent care unless I wasn't able to get in Sunshine. Was treated wonderfully. When a place first opens it takes time to get your business up and running like you'd want and it wasn't Dr Howell's fault he was having problems with insurance denials. I haven't been back but unfortunately I'm not well again and will be calling again to be seen by the Dr. Please don't let this bad review you read keep you away from Sunshine Clinic. I doubt you'll find another place that will treat you as well as Dr Howell and also take you in quickly and it's very clean. Dr Howell cares about his patients. read more

honestly I'm not one to write reviews, but this is by far the best Doctor and medical staff I've ever been to! my pharmacist recommended me to this place. very straightforward and honest. listened to my needs and gave me extra care. I get lightheaded from getting bloodwork so they let me lay down and have me a juice and kept checking to make sure I was feeling okay. they understood instead of judge which unfortunately many others do. the doctor Julina Howell went over everything she possibly could with me making sure she wasn't just assuming and guessing where my terrible rash came from and made sure to make my concerns known and heard. 100 out of 10 doctor visit. read more

EDIT - I have heard from the owner of this business who has gone above and beyond to make what happened right and I very much appreciate his compassion shown towards me and my daughter! Went in tonight at 6:45 p.m. because my 10 year old daughter was having chest pain. I was hoping for an EKG to make sure nothing was wrong. I was told that we could not be seen because they were closing and there was too much paperwork, despite my saying 3 TIMES that my daughter was having CHEST PAIN. My little one was having ear pain. Made the appointment and checked in online. When we arrived we waited 5 minutes before we were called back. The nurse was very nice. Waited maybe 2 minutes for the doctor. She was wonderful and patient. Explained all the options. There was a problem with the prescription (100% CVS fault) and I needed a new one. After explaining to Tammi what happened she took care of it immediately. As soon as I hung up with her I heard the pharmacy phone ringing. She called them directly and got our medication. Do not go to this urgent care there are others in the area that you can go that will cover your insurance and treat you like a person. 1) all out of pocket expenses for individuals with blue cross blue shield insurance, this facility is not approved through blue cross blue shield, so not cheaper as claimed; 2) saw and heard the staff being told not to contact your insurance carrier to get out of pocket expenses for care in order to inform customers of their total expenses. read more
