Truly amazing experience!!! Boat was in great working order with all safety equipment on board. Kevin (owner) explained all details very clearly. Working GPS on board with fish finder; and paper map provided with all local waypoints marked. Fuel gauge worked, and NO FUEL gimmicks here folks. Everything was clear cut. No hidden fees. First time renting here and it was great. Rates were good compared to others we checked and they were super nice. Went over the boat thoroughly and GPS had spots preloaded for sightseeing & snorkeling. The boat had a little wear on it, but everything worked as expected and absolutely no issues at all. Absolute worst company I have ever worked with. If I could give them 0 starts I would but unfortunately that's not an option. We drove almost 2 hours to come to this specific place, and were so excited and the moment we arrived the worker was extremely rude to my father and refused to let us rent his jet ski's. Immediately after the worker told my father to leave. As a worker you should know better than to talk to customers that way. My family and I were devastated that we drove out so far and had our plans ruined so quickly. read more

I have never been treated with such disrespect in a hospitality setting that's made for fun and relaxation. When we went to rent the kayaks, no one was attending the rental hut. When my friend called they said they'd be "out and not back for another 30 minutes," when they finally got back 40 minutes later, the attendant charged us and gave us a brief "safety demo" saying not to go in to the "deeper end of the ocean because it's very windy today." Which we appreciated. He continued to say "do not kayak too close to the rocks because it will damage the bottom of the kayaks and we pay a lot of money for these kayaks." So we made sure to not get close to any rocks on our trip. As we make our return to the shore, we dock the kayak along the shore still in the water and pull it up into the sand. The attendant comes up to us yelling saying "Guys! What did I tell you?! I told you the rocks damage our kayaks we pay $1000 for each kayak and we just had them all replaced because people kept pulling them onto the rocks! Can you just pull them over here please? Nevermind I got it!" I will provide a picture of what he specifies are rocks, and what we believed he meant by "the rocks." Ugh! Such an enjoyable experience ruined by such a rude man!! read more

I called and booked a boat so my family of 6-7 people can go out and have fun fishing together. I spoke with Kevin on the phone and he was very nice at first and accommodating, and told me he would save the bigger deck boat that was 21 feet that fits comfortably 6-10 people so that we would be more comfortable. We arrive the day of our rental on time and he and his coworker start to prepare the paperwork for our rental and I was informed that we would be on a smaller boat. I told him that that was not what was agreed upon and he told me that he never agreed to the bigger boat, which was not true. I told him that he did tell me we would get the bigger boat, and now he is telling me a different story. He insisted that he can cancel my reservation and I told him that we did not want to cancel but get what we were told over the phone. He became very irate and uncompromising and told me he did not want to do business with me , and to go find another rental somewhere else. I bit my tongue and swallowed my pride and asked him to please not do that because I had my two sons very excited about going fishing for the first time. After stewing around for awhile he agreed for us to rent the smaller boat. If my children were not there this would have ended very differently, and I would have not swallowed my pride but walked away from such an unprofessional business person. At the back of Gilbert's is this Jet Ski rental. Great fun, good service and fair prices. Gilbert's can be busy, so expect to look for parking. You will need a credit card, photo Id, and a boating permit if you were born after 1988. The waverunners are all late model Yamahas that can seat 3 people and get up to 55 in the Blackwater Sound! Be careful not to go to the right--that's the Everglades Sanctuary. You WILL get a ticket there. It's a blast--we've been here twice. read more

I got lost on the jet ski for 10 minutes and told me he was gonna charge me for an extra 30 minutes which is an extra 60 dollars and I had already paid 200 dollars for an hour for two jet skis. The guy could have been honest and said hey don't bother I'm leaving early and instead he let me rush to take test and get my kids excited for nothing because he said I cleaned all of the jet skis. What an amazing experience. Kevin was able to accommodate me as a last minute walk up. The jet ski tour itself was extremely diverse, ranging from high speed open water at 50mph plus, to slowly cruising through tight scenic channels where you are surrounded by gorgeous trees. I highly recommend stopping over here for a tour on your drive down to the keys or if your in the southern florida area. Can't say enough about the friendliness of the staff and the amazing experience they offer. read more

Man... I don't ever rate something 5 stars. But this place deserves even more. I rented Jet Ski's and had the time of my life. The jet ski's were in amazing condition, very freaking fast and very cheap for the half hour. The worker was very very kind. Very cool and laid back guy. He showed us everything we needed to know to drive the jet skis, kept us aware of anything we needed to worry about, helped us when we needed it, and and resolved every issue I had run into. I went with 16 other guys and he was very patient with us. Y'all want to do any Watersports, this is the spot. read more

Great crew, made it super easy to work with these guys. The wave runners they use were in top condition and after each rider came back in they inspected the craft (obviously for damage) but also to make sure fuel levels and operation was ready for next rider. Gilbert's was a great place to wait for available rentals and after for a drink, but a bit crazy on the weekend so be ready for that. Appreciated how simple it was to rent and get in and out. No games or hassles with pressure for additional insurance, etc. They were able to provide my daughter her boater safety card so she could ride alone, it's a booklet then test but she loved the ability to ride on her own. Prices were super reasonable and there was lots of open room away from the marina area to open things up and be away from other riders. We rented for half hour which was easily more than enough time to be out riding. read more

Unfortunately we weren't able to experience or use the Jetski, we went to Gilbert to celebrate my mother in law 52 bday and choose that place because we saw that they offered jet ski rental run by Sunshine water sports. When she went to ask for the rental one employee told her that she couldn't rent one because she didn't have a boater permit and that he ran out of form to be able to get the permit. Later on I went to ask and at the time there was a different employee who told me that all I needed was my driver license and a credit card, also stayed there for a while and watched how jet ski where rented to other family with out asking for boater permit. I informed my mother in law and she went back, and she was told the same thing, unfortunately the same employee that refuse her the first time was back and as soon as he saw her told her "I told you that you couldn't rent it because you don't have a boater permit" and told the other employee that he made a mistake. Now I am mad and went to confront the employee and ask why he asked for my mother in law boater license, first he tried telling me the same thing until I pointed out to a sign that specify that if you are born before 1988 all you need is an driver license and credit card, now his excuse was that he thought my mother in law was under 28 and didnt want to be rude by asking her age. After all this my girlfriend posted a review on Facebook calling them for what they are "racist". Like a hour later the owner of the place approached our table upset and asking who posted the review and why. I told him it was me and tried to explain what happened, he didn't even allowed me to talk and call all of us asshole. I've been living in Florida for 10 years and first time I experienced something like this, hopefully nobody else have to go through this. read more
