Jeff told us exactly where to go for snorkeling above a reef and how to get to the Islamorada sand bar! We saw so many fish at the reef, it was pretty epic! A couple miles out the water turned a beautiful clear turquoise with white sand at the bottom! Jeff provided snorkel gear for free and if you're a fisher he'll provide fishing gear. He was absolutely the most reasonably priced, but was also so very kind and helpful! We can't wait to go back and rent another boat! Thanks for an epic day!

We had an absolutely incredible experience! My brother wanted to catch a shark on his graduation trip, so we set up the evening charter trip with these guys and they did NOT disappoint! Not only did we catch A shark, but we caught 4! Overall we caught 2 nurse sharks, 2 lemon sharks, a few barracuda, yellow tail snappers, blue runners and a bonito fish. (picture of all but the sharks hung up at the dock) Jordan took us over a reef and a shipwreck. He was knowledgeable about both locations and was able to get us catches at both locations. We were the only boat on either location. He also made quick but effective work when filleting the fish when we got back to the dock. He gave us suggestions on where to take our fish or how to prepare it. There wasn't a single pin-bone in any of the fish! Kishian was absolutely incredible and made the trip 10x more enjoyable! He had the fishing gear all set up and ready to go by the time we docked at the 1st and 2nd sites. Kishian taught all of us how to properly reel the fish in for this area and made sure we had the right bait and helped us keep an eye on the lines as we really didn't know what we were doing at the start of the trip (and only knew very little of what Kishian and Jordan knew by the end!). Kishian was encouraging and helped you reel in fish that were big and made you feel that you accomplished it on your own. Jordan and Kishian made an amazing team and really made this trip absolutely incredible! If this company's other employees are half as good, they are amazing!

I booked and paid for a sandbar boat trip and snorkeling excursion. While we did attempt snorkeling, the weather and water conditions were extremely poor--choppy water, stormy weather, and very limited visibility. The conditions were so rough that it made us feel sick, and snorkeling itself was difficult. Some of the people on the boat only went in a few minutes because it was so choppy. We were told both on the phone and in person that we would be going to Alligator Reef, (another woman on the boat said she asked the guy at the counter for the tour if we were going to Alligator Reef and he said yes), but due to the conditions, this was not the experience we were promised. Because of the weather, we were unable to go to the sandbar at all (rain, clouds, choppy water). In hindsight, the trip should not have gone out that day given the conditions, especially since the main destinations could not be accessed safely. WHICH WAS MOST LIKELY WHY WE WERE THE ONLY BOAT OUT ON THE WATER-- DIDN'T SEE ANOTHER BOAT THE ENTIRE TIME. The other thing- people snorkel in Florida because it's warm and clear. This day was raining, choppy, murky and cold! We were offered the option to return the following day by Jerry (Wednesday the 14th) for the sandbar. However, when we came back, the weather was again bad, and your staff advised that you likely would not be going out. This resulted in another wasted trip, and ultimately, we never received the sandbar portion of the experience we paid for. I was then told I could use the sandbar trip on a future visit, but I live in California and do not have plans to return, making that option unrealistic. To be clear, I did not request a refund for the entire excursion (although, I really should)--only for the sandbar portion, since that service was never provided. Even though we purchased the snorkel sand bar trip, they take you out on the boat to snorkel, make you come all the way back in to pick up more people, then go all the way back out again, so half your trip is just chartering people. That wasn't the issue (just putting that in here for others so that they know). It was so cold and choppy and nauseating that there is no way someone should be going to the sandbar! I was hoping we would have been able to resolve this directly and professionally, but the company didn't respond. It was not a fun environment for snorkeling, and clearly the company went out anyways because it's a business and they care more about your money than your experience. It was freezing and nauseating. After speaking to several employees at our hotel, they said that the company should never have taken any of us out that day and that the boating company often promise things and underdeliver and that they don't personally recommend that company to people that come in. I wish I had not booked ahead of time and spoke to someone onsite first. Also we have only one photo on the boat because it was so choppy that people were having trouble standing up to take a photo! I gave 1 star because the two men captaining the boat were fabulous and although they had to take us out by force, they were good at explaining how to snorkel and tried to make the most of it. When asked if we were going to Alligator Reef like promised, they said, "Look out there, it's pouring, it's bad here but it will be way worse out there."

This is the largest dive company over ever been with. They run an operation here! They've got a…read morelarge platoon of boats and people coming in and out from dives all day long. But despite the scale of the business, which I'm normally iffy about big operations like this, we had a great time. Our five master was so fun and energetic and down to earth. She found us some great sea life: nurse shark, sea turtles, lion fish, eel, barracuda, parrot fish, puffer fish and more. Our first dive was the Brentwood. It's the first wreck dive I've ever done and I loved it! There was so much sea life and the bullet holes in the wrech were so neat to sneak a peek into. The second dive was French reef and again so wonderful. We got to go into little caves and arches in the coral. It had been a while since I had to set up my own tank and BCD so I had to ask some questions to remember. They will help you out, but there is some labor on your end unless you ask. Overall a fantastic 2 tank dive in January in 75 degree water. I would definitely dive with rainbow reef again. Especially with how competitive the prices are!

Overall atmosphere was relaxed and fun while still managing to focus on safety.

I had done lots of research on all the…read moredifferent scuba/sandbar excursions in the keys, and when I found this one, it looked like something fun and local that would be a lot of fun to do. When I initially called them for help in which boat we should pick for our excursion, that woman that answered the phone was so nice and helpful and just got me more excited to book and made it fun to look forward to. I liked that this one was only 3 hours, because we were stopping on our way back to Miami from Key West and we didn't want to be on the water all day. The day of when we were driving up from Key West, we thought we had plenty of time to get there, but traffic was proving it difficult for us to make it on time. I called the shop to ask about how much time we would have since we wouldn't be able to get there in the 30 mins prior to make way, as requested when booking. Alanna answered the phone and was more than happy to help out. I called about an hour prior to our initial arrival time to inform them we may be late, and she was wonderful. She said they could hold the boat for a few minutes for us but just to keep them posted. As we inched our way closer and closer to Tavinier, traffic still was not on our side. They called and checked in on us and how the drive was going, and this to me made me feel taken care of above and beyond. They didn't have to call, they didn't have to wait, but they did, and I was very much appreciative of them! When it came to finally making my way in, I couldn't find parking, and again, Alanna saved the day and helped me locate a spot! We ran to the boat, hopped on and Captain Chris and Mate Savannah were so wonderful with the same southern hospitality. They greeted us with huge smiles and off we went. Savannah and Chris both checked in on us once we were parked at the sandbar, offering bevs, floating devices, conversation, and just a great time! My son and I really enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this charter!
