We stayed in the Nook which is a one bed/one bath dog friendly unit. The property is absolutely beautiful! The plants/flowers/fruits, the pool, 2 grills, a fire-pit under the cabana; just to name a few highlights. One of many favorites is the fact that they have made it convenient for their guests to use the floats in the pool. If you head to the beach they provide beach/pool towels in the unit but outside they have a section where you can borrow beach wagons, beach chairs, umbrellas, and those foam surf boards I can't think of the name. They also have balls, sand castle making kits and various outdoor games. There are also some bikes you can use! In the unit- NOTHING WAS MISSED! Towels galore, the kitchen fully stocked with utensils and anything you may need. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous! The bed is super comfy, king sized. I absolutely loved the high-tech stuff such as the AC remotes being available separately in the living room and bedroom; the rooms also had remote controlled ceiling fan/light. This unit is so CLEAN...I mean...certified neat freak clean. I genuinely couldn't believe the other reviews mentioning how clean everything was- now I am witness. I love it here! Location is phenomenal! The beach is right across the street and it truly is the pretties and cleanest beach! The village is 3 blocks away, we went once but the other times we DoorDashed food in...convenience, ya know! Paige, Gabe, Jeff and (I believe) Rhonda are absolutely amazing. Every single shift had a new person working with a great attitude and beyond willing to help with anything you might need! The rooms must be newly remodeled because they felt new, modern, and very comfortable. They have free shuttle service called "The frog hop" which works only on tips. They will take you anywhere on Siesta Key and arrived within 5 minutes of being called every time we needed a ride. It was amazing! The pool at Hibiscus Suites is hands down the BEST POOL I've ever swam in which speaks volumes! It's beautiful, clean, and actually IS HEATED! I cannot say enough about that pool! Not only does the hotel offer you beach towels to take to the beach daily, but they also offer sunscreen for those who forget, and mind blowing enough they also have a nice selection of beach chairs, umbrellas AND boogie boards that are ALL also available to take with you to the beach on any day you choose! This amazed us and made our vacation much more comfortable at the beach! My kids loved using the free boogie boards that would've cost us $30 a day otherwise to rent at the beach! Excellent perk! Soooo, Thank you to the staff for making our trip extra great!!! {The beach is literally right down the road, you can walk if you like walking or shuttle but you are THAT CLOSE and yet this hotel was priced so well! Right on the beach with easy access, they provide chairs and kayaks if you want to use them. The property is old, but very well maintained. The staff, mainly Karen is friendly and accommodating. The apartment is clean, the appliances are up to date. Perfectly suited for lazy days spent at the beach. We didn't move our car the entire weekend. We brought in food from the Publix nearby and saved time and money from the usual dining out scene. We will keep this resort on our defiantly return list.

I travel for work and stay in hotels all across the country so I know a few things about customer service. First off it's a no frills type of place so don't expect greatness but it also isn't the slums. We stayed in unit 21 facing the courtyard. The queen room was extremely compact and I'm guessing 250 sf tops. It did have a small kitchen with one of the smallest sinks I ever washed dishes in but it worked. They do supply just about everything u need to cook a small dinner or breakfast if u choose to do while your staying. The fridge was nice and worked ( made strange noises both nights ) & the shower was decent ( not the greatest pressure but it was hot ) we found a local grocery store and picked up items for breakfast. Both morning we made bacon and eggs and chilled outside Parking seemed small but we always had a place to park when we made it back from being out. Here's the pros & cons imo Cons ----- tiny Ants in the kitchen were annoying, zero breakfast options , small rooms , no DVD players in the room, all types of odd noises throughout the day and night. We kept hearing noises coming from the drains ( gurgling ) shower pressure was very low but got the job done. Pro's ---- Walking distance to the beach ( less than 200 ft , room AC will freeze u out , the queen bed was decent , they have outdoor grills ( 2 ) 3 sets of tables to sit and chill for morning coffee or dinner. Very quiet atmosphere especially since there's a huge Public parking area right next door. The girls in the office were pretty friendly. Maintence guy was super nice and took care of a few issues we had very quickly. Overall it's a really good place to stay. It's an older place for sure but it has a certain charm that pulls u in. Would I stay here again ahh I don't know. I think foe the money u pay it's a good place but I'm pretty sure if u wanted greatness it's also here in Venice as well. I really wished there was an in room DVD player because we brought out wedding video from 21 years ago to sit and watch There's a place called Pop's sunset grill that we had dinner @ that was awesome. On our second night there, a roach the size of a bunny rabbit was found crawling on the wall in the brides bedroom. We were immediately disgusted. Later that night, an additional four roaches were found. One in the kitchen, which was killed. One in the living room, which was also killed under magazines. And two under the bed in the brides bedroom, one alive and one dead. We immediately got in touch with the property manager Misty, but due to the late hours, we did not hear back until the next morning. Misty was informed of the disgusting situation and advised us that this same cottage has had a roach problem in the past. She told us she would contact the owner who was currently traveling, and in order for an exterminator to come spray, the cottage had to be emptied. We informed Misty we will be out all day on a boat and provided her with numerous phone numbers for her to contact with an update. She never called or followed up with anyone. We also told her that we would like to be moved, or quite honestly just leave and stay at a hotel. That night, a sixth roach was found. That was honestly the breaking point. Hotels were booked and ubers were called and we left there by 11:30 PM. We told Misty what was going on and wanted to come to an agreement of some sort of refund. Instead of responding to our calls and emails, they decided to charge us a $75 fee for "trashing" the cottage. We left in a hurry, and unopened food items were left behind. However, anything that was opened was disposed of and all the decorations were taken down. We were refunded the $75 and one nights stay, which quite honestly is not acceptable. The cottage was not livable. Not only were there 6 roaches, there were flies EVERYWHERE. Being married to an exterminator, I can honestly say that this cottage has a huge issue that is not being properly taken care of. We found multiple holes under the bed that lead to outside which is clearly where some of the roaches are coming from. Not only did we barely get responses from Misty, the owner, or booking.com, Misty also accused us of lying, putting rubber roaches all over the house, and disconnecting the WiFi. We had no idea the cottage even had WiFi and Misty admitted to not checking the cottage after the cleaning service left. Do not stay here. This place is disgusting and has a serious moisture problem.

The efficiency had a full kitchen. It was great to make dinner on site and watch the sunset. We used the charcoal grills ( bring your own charcoal). The grill are very clean. All the tables and chairs are very clean. There is no maid service during your stay. Our room and a queen size Murphy' bed, futon, recliner, side chair, & dining table with four chairs. The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans, silverware, toaster, crockpot, soaps, & sponge. The kitchen has a microwave, oven, stove and fridge. The staff is very friendly. There is free parking. You can rent a stand up paddle board from the hotel for $25/day. This hotel is casual and very clean. The staff keeps it in great condition. I would not hesitate staying here again.
