Customer service is key!!! The location is right by the beach with a ton of other hotels. The property isn't anything special with two average pools. But what makes this property four stars is the customer service. When we arrived to check in Dom gave my daughter a stuffed animal. That just made her vacation!!! They have coffee from 8 to 10pm daily. Plus Dvd with popcorn you can get, which I thought was lame until a thunderstorm ruined our plans. My daughter loved picking out a movie. Plus our room was immaculate. If you are going to stay in Siesta key, I would stay here!!!

Amazing place and staff. Very calm and relaxing. Near to the beach. We will be back!!

Full kitchen with nice small table and chairs

Overall, we really enjoyed Tropical Beach Resorts on Siesta Key in Florida. We had the smallest unit for three days at the end of the year. Pros: Great location with easy access to a very walkable beach and to the free trolley which goes to the village. The two heated pools made all the difference during a chilly week. Having a full kitchen was essential for us, and we saw people barbecuing in the nearby gazebo. The other real highpoint was the staff. In the office, they were so helpful and they offered free DVDs, popcorn, candy, tea, and coffee. Cons: When people say the smallest units are small, they mean REALLY small. Access on one side of the bed will require most people to turn sideways. We ended up rearranging the garbage can in the bathroom so we could squeeze into the toilet area easier. We also figured out on the last day that turning the kitchen garbage can allowed us to get into the refrigerator without trying to lean over the door (I am not sure why they didn't turn the refrigerator door around so it opens the right way.) Our unit also had a stove with no markings on any of the dials. We ended up asking for help to try to figure out how to set the temperature on the oven but partially figured out the positions ourselves by looking the stove up online). The only other thing to know is that the bed is relatively high, maybe 30 inches. That means that most cannot use it as an easy seating area since you need to hike yourself up a bit or use the side rail to step up. Still overall a great time!

Pathway from the resort to the beach. So pretty!

I absolutely love this cozy resort. It's our first choice for a quick, local getaway. Highlights include: *Super clean, tastefully-decorated efficiency rooms. *Two pools to choose from. *Short walk to an award-winning beach with soft, sugar sand. *Beautifully-kept grounds. *BBQ grills provided for guests. *Free WiFi that actually works, and works well! *Kitchens in the room are stylish and include everything you need. Also makes it easy to save money and/or enjoy healthy snacks, beach lunches, etc. - Publix two miles away! If only staying a few nights, consider packing a handful of ziplock style baggies for toting snacks to beach and maybe a small container of your favorite coffee. :) *Local casual restaurants within walking distance to hotel, even a late night pizza place that delivers until 3 a.m. Parking can be a pain if heading to popular hotspots - save yourself time and stress, cab or Uber it! Do yourself a favor, do NOT leave the area without stopping at Owen's Fish Camp (ten minute ride to artsy historical section) for an early dinner - call ahead (reservations only for larger parties) or get there by 5/5:30, otherwise be prepared for a lengthy wait.

Surprised, but my room actually looked just like it did on the website. It was clean and comfortable since I was there for a friend's wedding. It was strange, but it seems there are 3 parts to this hotel and a few others are right on the same property. There are no ocean views, but the water is only a short few minute walk away. Before going down to the water, don't forget a beach towel and lounge chair. If not, then you can pay for chairs and an umbrella, which seemed ridiculous. If you like to snorkel, go across the street to rent gear at the bike shop, it's much cheaper than the hotels. There are no restaurants on site, but in the morning be sure to stop by the breakfast cart guy! I missed it since he took vacation the week I was there, but heard he serves awesome breakfast sandwiches! If you are hungry, there are is a restaurant or 2 just across the street about 1/3 mile. I also bought snacks and lunch foods to make in my small kitchen in the room. There is a flower shop, convenient store, gas station, liquor store and fish market just across the street. Use the free open sided taxis to get around town, it just easier than driving all the time for a big group. FREE: Wifi Ocean-side yoga Cookies, pink lemonade, candy at front desk Bottle of wine w/coupon DVD rental for your room

We stayed here for 4 nights during thanksgiving week, and it was the best decision ever, service was amazing, location was perfect, the mini blockbuster at the lobby was the best, every single amenity was perfectly planned, we are definitely staying here again soon

This hotel is just a few steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. All rooms appear to be exterior corridor/motel style - parking by the guest room door. The rooms are clean and fully equipped with silverware, plates, glasses, full oven/stove, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, kettle, medium sized refrigerator with separate freezer, tv/dvd, safe and free WiFi. The front desk was very helpful. I arrived in an oversized vehicle and they worked to find appropriate parking nearest to my room. I am here on business but would certainly come back for vacation. My only complaint is that the bed is a little lumpy... everything seems to be new or newly renovated with the exception of the bed. There are a few restaurants/bars in walking distance and it's only short drive or bike ride from downtown Siesta Key.

The price is high $600+ per night but I do like good service so I thought this time I would give it a whirl.... HUGE MISTAKE!!!!! Usually i stay at Lido Beach or Ritz & I will for sure be doing that from now on. This place is a huge disappointment. EVERYDAY we were woken up at 7am to carpet construction happening throughout the building & when they weren't ripping the carpets up & leaving crime scene tape across your room door every time you do in or out - you get to rip down tape. There are no signs saying why there is tape hanging everywhere just tools left lying in walkways everywhere. They left the carpet peeled back with carpet glue exposed in the whole hallway from the elevator & I stepped in it ruining my sand led & pants there was glue all over. I asked for the manager and there was NO MANAGER ON SITE THE ENTIRE HOLIDAY WEEKEND!!!! Are you kidding me? The power wash i g & pounding at 7am continued the entire trip, we were exhausted. When i did finally speak to the manager on our check out day ... she said she would follow up & take care of all the issues. LIE! This has not happened at all i have $430 of ruined clothes because they do not understand how to close a wing down as they do repairs. It's the Hyatt you can afford it. You dont charge someone $600 a night to vacation through construction. We will never do another Hyatt again. I was told this issue would be handled swiftly... it's now 2 months later & I haven't gotten a single response. Such service lol

We stayed in the Nook which is a one bed/one bath dog friendly unit. The property is absolutely beautiful! One of many favorites is the fact that they have made it convenient for their guests to use the floats in the pool. If you head to the beach they provide beach/pool towels in the unit but outside they have a section where you can borrow beach wagons, beach chairs, umbrellas, and those foam surf boards I can't think of the name. They also have balls, sand castle making kits and various outdoor games. There are also some bikes you can use! In the unit- NOTHING WAS MISSED! Towels galore, the kitchen fully stocked with utensils and anything you may need. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous! The bed is super comfy, king sized. I absolutely loved the high-tech stuff such as the AC remotes being available separately in the living room and bedroom; the rooms also had remote controlled ceiling fan/light. One night in unit 101 which is an efficiency style unit, 260sq ft, was $252. The rental included self parking with my own dedicated spot, which was perfect because I was driving there. The office sent me a text and an email with check in instructions. The room was clean and well stocked. My only qualm was that the toilet barely flushed. It looked like it was going to overflow every time you flush is and the toilet paper would just linger in there until it decomposed. Yes, there was a plunger in there but I wasn't about to get to work on that toilet. Nope. Instead I planned to just toss the paper in the trash and find another place to go #2 if I had to. The fridge kept my drinks and snacks cool. I did not use the cooking stuff. I wanted to use the coffee maker but there were no filters (I brought my own coffee grounds). They had some pre packaged stuff, but I opted not to use it. There were some snacks with the coffee creamers etc but the date on the peanuts was May 2024 so I didn't bother looking at anything else. The towels were nice and soft. The water pressure was insane. The kitchen sink pretty much assaulted me when I turned it on. The shower and bathroom sink were just as powerful. Water temp was good. The room itself was very cool, had a NOISY but powerful AC. It clunked every time it reached temp and turned off. Wear ear plugs. Beach access was a short walk away, as well as a wonderful breakfast spot (toasted mango), awesome ice cream place (Jake's) and delicious deli (Anna's). I walked everywhere. There are nearby fancy restaurants and local bars and the marina isn't far at all. I walked there too. I'd say this place overall was great value and very safe. I appreciated the community pool and beach access. I had my own chairs and umbrella, so I did not rent. I would stay here again. This is a quieter side of the island compared to the village.

We had a miscommunication about payment (it's cash or money order ONLY, due up front, unless you PayPal 7 days in advance) and that was not made clear enough considering how out of the norm that is--at least, I've only ever stayed in places where your pay upon departure. Especially since I believed my credit card was on file as they used it to collect the deposit. Anyway, no one was there to check us in in person and no one was there to collect a check on Day 1. We called to check in & were told keys were on the table, but there was zero mention of payment. On Day 2, that night we needed a few extra blankets and called for assistance. Only then did they realize they forgot to collect payment, which I said I did not have because I expected to pay via card. It was late, so I said I would do my best to get a money order the next day. Day 3, we had a boat tour and massages booked and planned to get a money order after those plans. However, the harassment started EARLY this day and management (the brother) texted, called and harassed my friend (we checked in on her phone) all day, even though she assured him we would get the money order when we had time. He harassed her ALL DAY regardless--it's clear he had made a mistake and was trying to quickly fix it, even though we had no way to address it until after our massages. As soon as we were done with massages we ran around town in the pouring rain trying to get a money order but kept running into roadblocks (machines not working, couldn't take out more than $500, etc). When I explained that we only had $500 but could try again the next day (our stay was 5 days) he threatened to KICK US OUT and call the police. I'm shaking as I write this and remember this because it was incredibly alarming. Eventually he said we could PayPal WITH AN ADDED 3% FEE, which is substantial on a 5-night stay. And even worse, REFUSED to collect the $500 money order we had spent half the day trying to obtain. We called the person we booked with (the sister) to complain about this treatment, and she said "So you're saying my brother is a liar?" No apologies, no indication that it was a misunderstanding, no leniency. It ruined the evening and put a dark cloud over the rest of the trip. Also, this place was not clean, there were ants everywhere, furniture drawers were broken and you have to pay a $200 cleaning fee even though you need to start the laundry, take out your own trash and do your own dishes. It's my understanding that they sold this place for a bunch of money (according to some guests who were also staying here), which could explain the lack of concern for their guests. Stay somewhere else.

This is 1/3 of the cost so I'd say it's a good value. Also feels like a family owned type of deal which was nice to see. I didn't spend a lot of time in the common areas, so cannot comment much on the state of the pool or tiki bar other than that they looked well kept. On fri/sat nights there was a solid crowd using both. I was able to find some secluded areas with hammocks and fire pits, which I appreciated. My room had a spacious and fenced back yard with multiple tables and an umbrella. There is smoking allowed in the yards and a few times I could smell my neighbors cigarettes while outside. The back lot is unpaved and shared with the public tiki bar. Tight lanes and cramped spaces that are flooded with drunk people leaving at night since they aren't staying at the hotel. I didn't feel my car was very safe from scratches/bumps on weekend nights. Also the unpaved lot kicked up lots of dust onto my luggage and shoes, which ended up all over the inside of my car. It's gravelly mud as well so it's stuck to my seats and floor mats. Probably was worse than usual since i was loading my luggage after a night of rain. That being said, the parking was free. So take this relatively menial issue as you will.

Dirty floors, no screens on windows, minimum care as far as room. Property gorgeous. Won't stay…read moreagain unfortunately
