Fast service and good food. We were here during a snow storm on a Saturday morning and it was probably a reason it wasn't packed- lucky for us. I had the Irish potato bowl with scrambled egg and pancakes and my husband had the same with eggs over easy. It was delicious with corn beef hash/potatoes/veggies and cheese. The pancakes on the side were good too. Of course I couldn't eat it all so had a second meal out of it. Prices are reasonable too. Would love to go back and try more off the menu. read more

With a great extensive food menu, welcoming staff members, and amazing food presentation this is one of the best breakfast places located in Beaver Dam. The restaurant is clean with great seating, booths, and tables for you and your party. I must say though, I was a little disappointed when there was a piece of ham found in my friend's vegetarian skillet - they're vegan - ordering the skillet without egg, cheese, or butter. To have a piece of ham in their food was the worst, especially when our waiter didn't acknowledge how big of a deal this was. After that incident I don't recommend anyone who's vegetarian/vegan to attend this restaurant, if you do, please inspect your meal beforehand. Besides the problem, sun view provides a delicious meal with pretty good portion size. And if you're ever in the Beaver area, I highly recommend getting chilaquiles, any of their skillets, or any of the cinnamon swirl french toast combos! They're worth trying. read more

Let me just start off this review by saying ALL DAY BREAKFAST! This place is a to-go spot if you are craving breakfast food at anytime. Although they close at 3pm, the restaurant offers a wide range of meals from breakfast foods, to brunch, to dinner/ lunch. The chocolate pancake and crepes are a must especially if you have a sweet tooth like me. The quesadillas are also very delicious and will fill you up quickly. The food offered is very reasonable for the price and I will definitely be coming next weekend for their crepes. The service was alright and our food came in a reasonable time. A solid 4 star restaurant. We were driving from Green Bay to Madison and wanted a brunch. The breakfast is a standard breakfast but all good. Nothing was cold and nothing was bad. I've been coming here for 5 years now. They've improved a lot since they closed down for a few months when COVID started. Slightly remodeled the interiors but improved greatly on their menu, food variety and portion sizes. I love this place and their food, but they have committed a few mistakes (no surprise since it's been 5 years). But the worst mistake I've seen happened today... a friend asked for a vegetarian skillet with no egg or cheese. As we were eating, he found a piece of ham in his skillet when that's not even one of the ingredients. When we told the waitress, all she said was "alright I'll let the cook know" (when obviously he wasn't going to eat his skillet). Overall I would prefer Sunview Restaurant breakfast over any breakfast restaurant in this town(not vegan food), even with its cons. They have lots of options like Mexican, Greek and Italian food. They serve, burgers, pastas, breakfast, and my favorite, freshly squeezed orange juice. The prizes here are great considering the portion size and quality of food. When my parents/family stay in Wisconsin during summer weekends, this is one of the spots they like to go for breakfast. It's kind of easy to miss, tucked away off the road near a hotel. But if you manage to find it, you'll walk in to a cozy family breakfast spot. A group of five adults and one child all fit comfortably in a booth (and a high chair). The menu pretty much has anything you can get for breakfast: crepes, omelets, steak, oatmeal, french toast, orange juice, ham, etc. etc. It's all priced amazingly well for what you get. I don't remember what I ordered, but it was delicious. I ate most of it. My little one, who was about eight months at the time, was happy to eat anything I was able to give him. The first time we were here, I had ordered him oatmeal, but it was wayyyy too hot (and the portion was HUGE), so no one had any of that. Bummer I didn't order it again, but I am thankful the staff was fine with my loud, messy, happy child. Friendly staff, delicious food, homely restaurant. Great spot for breakfast. The service was bad before we even made it to a table. We put our name in the list and waited. She called the people ahead of us and then skipped us twice for the next table. There were two of us and so when they took the 3 people who came about 5 minutes after us we thought maybe they gave them a bigger table by that didn't make that much sense given it was only 3 people. Then the host person took 2 people that came 10 minutes after us and so we went and asked and she said she goes in going in order on the list. We pointed at her list and said no you took two other party's before us and my name was higher on the list. We visit this restaurant all the time when we are in Beaver Dam. It's a family owned restaurant with a recently updated interior that is nice and comfortable. Service is always fast and courteous. Food is cooked and served fast and hot. Everything is always good. I love their omelets. Hash browns. Pancakes. The fruit is fresh fruit they cut up on site. Their ranch dressing is the best I've ever had. Salads are fresh and soups are flavorful and home made. I believe the owners are Greek and there are some interesting Greek meals among the many options on the menu. I can't find a bad thing to say about the place. While the food I've had here before is good, we just left after waiting over 10 minutes of being ignored when they were not overly busy. We were one of the only groups with kids and both our kids are under 4. Yet no one bothered to even take our drink order. Our kids were already starting to cry and make messes with the stuff on the table. So we couldn't risk being stuck here for another hour plus with tired kids. My poor three year old left crying because she wanted Mickey pancakes but this place clearly doesn't understand families with kids. I would not recommend for people with young children! read more

We ordered carry out breakfast and it was the correct order and the food was good. Ordering over the phone was fine. Wait to pick up the food was ok; I waited inside the restaurant. That said, nearly all the waitstaff we saw were wearing masks with their noses above the mask. A few didn't have a mask at all. In addition, a staff woman came out to dump a bucket of ice into the ice maker and she used her bare hands to push ice further into the ice chest. I didn't see any of the wait staff wearing gloves or using sanitizer in between cashing out customers or touching menus. Tables were not distanced and the restaurant was full, so it seemed rather unsafe from a COVID perspective. read more

I have been to this restaurant a few times and have never really had an issue....until the other day. I went the Sunview to grab some breakfast before an appointment. I figured I would just hang out, watch the news and enjoy a hot breakfast before getting on with my day. Wrong. When I entered I basically had to seat myself because the host/hostess was nowhere to be found. I found a seat at the counter and shortly after was greeted by my server. She seemed very busy and was very short with me when I was ordering. I decided to go with the country fried steak, eggs and hash browns. The food was very good, however it is what I experienced while waiting for my food that will not bring me back here. My seat was directly in front of the window opening to the kitchen/servers station. The waitresses were CONSTANTLY bickering with the kitchen staff to the point that I thought about getting up to move. Also, when food was coming out, I could see waitresses picking up food (pancakes and toast) to make sure it was made correctly. They were handling the food WITHOUT putting gloves on or washing their hands. Needless to say I won't be back. read more

We've eaten here many times, usually for breakfast. In the past when we've gone for breakfast on the weekends it's usually extremely packed, the service has been good and the food is decent as well. Probably one of our favorite weekend breakfast stops. It's a typical family restaurant and there's really nothing to make me rate it over 3 stars (A-OK). Last night we tried it for dinner on a bit of a whim I guess. We're vegetarians, so our options were limited. I had a salad, baked potato and veggies. My wife had a Caesar Salad and a potato. Was all pretty good, the salad dressing came in a bag, though. Nothing quite says "less than 4 stars" like getting your salad dressing in a bag :) Great little family style restaurant if that's what you're looking for. We'll probably stick to mostly breakfasts, though. read more

I ordered a spinach and feta omelet of which was dry and had no flavor, and the hash round , although hot had a lot of cold spots in them, like they were microwaved. In a town full of restaurants you need to have outstanding food and impeccable service and Sunview has both. Nothing I hate more than to spend money going out to eat and have it ruined by being ignored or paying for food that was poorly prepared. The manager and his staff provide top notch service and are constantly paying attention to what is happening in the dining room and truly care about their customers. Fish fry on Friday nights signals the arrival of some of the best clam chowder I have ever had and Sunday breakfast produces a large plate of perfectly cooked hash browns and amazing eggs benedict. I love eating here for breakfast. Their pancakes are huge, I usually get the Texas toast with it which is a meal in itself. I had the Mexican skillet this morning and asked for no tomatoes but was given one with huge tomato chunks. A little expensive. Two glasses of milk cost me more than a gallon. read more
