Very poorly run. Parking opens at 10am, office to pay at 11am. You must sign the waiver first, stood in line for 30minutes (still no where near the entrance) at 11am only then to realize the next aqua park adventure wasn't until 2pm. They need to do a better job of letting people know the procedures and times up front rather than have people stand in line for hours thinking they will be able to enjoy the aqua park immediately. Poorly managed and very disorganized. Will not be back. People behind us tried calling the office and got hung up on numerous times. read more

This park was and is a good idea but the cost is very high to take part in the activities there. I hear there are more plans to improve the park but the current person who has a contract with the County keeps geeting favors and does not pay the county what is stated in the contract or the dept is forgiven by the County. This was a fun experience for the entire family. We did the aqua park with ages ranging from 9 to 40. And it's great that those who are not participating can enter free and sit on the sand area to enjoy watching. I highly recommend reserving your time slot ahead and completing the waivers online, it makes for a quick check in. Once checked we were promptly given vests and grouped for our time slot. The employees working the vests were well prepared and the employees on the inflatables were helpful, especially to younger ones needing help back onto inflatables. If we are ever back in the area I would return! (Also, I had a lot of questions before and messaged them through Facebook and got instant responses every time. ) read more

I feel a little bad about this review because I never actually have experienced SunWest, I only purchased a Groupon and attempted to make reservations. I first attempted to contact them via the link on their website...then waited a week with no response. So I called (the indicated method of contact for completing the Groupon transaction). The person I spoke to said that they did not take Groupon reservations over the phone, that I would have to drive over there and make them in person...about an hour's drive from my house. When I explained this, he said I should try emailing them. When I explained that I had already done that a week ago, he said that a week is about how long it takes for someone to reply. Then he offered to take my name and number and have someone call me. Then he hung up on me without taking the information. That was about two weeks ago. I never did get a response to my email inquiry. Ummm...okay. Thanks much!! Thankfully, Groupon refunded my money when I emailed them and explained what happened. read more

The management here is non existent. They have a guy standing outside doing absolutely nothing and he doesn't even try to help people who are obviously new. The park might be fun but at this point, an hour later, standing in the hot sun, all we've managed to do is sign a waiver. If all you want to do is swim, fine. But they have no organization and unless you know exactly what to do, you'll stand in lines forever. read more

We are staying with family in Hudson, Florida. We came here on a recommendation for a half day visit. Parking was easy-$5 to park. Easy to walk down to the "beach". This area looks like a man made lake-but not great for swimming. You are only allowed to wad up to the knees. We have a 12 and 13 year old-so they went over to the obstacle course. Not bad-$10 for 45 minutes. The kids were definitely challenged, and they were exhausted when they were done. There were kids playing volleyball, and they have other options to do aquatic events. I believe that you can rent wakeboarding time and kayaks, etc. I think for the obstacle course, definitely worth it for the kids, but I don't think that I would return just for "beach-time". read more

3.5 stars Rounded up to 4. 4.5 for fun amenities, 2.5 for the check in process and apparent lack of coordination amongst the check-in/waiver processing and equipment folks. It's not the fault of the teenagers working - they were very polite. It's purely a management/process problem that desperately needs improved. Wake boarding was tough to figure out for the first time, but fun. The beach/swim area was crowded and there is no lifeguard, but most folks were just sitting around and letting their kids play in the water. My kids and I will be back. read more

We got there at 9am thinking that was going to be a huge line but was early enough to get a great parking space and a good spot at the beach. The water was warm and clear. It's not how it looks in the pictures but it's nice for family day. The water park is a blast, so much fun but is better either early or late in the afternoon because it gets real hot. By 2pm was full but there was still parking available and I went on a holiday weekend. read more

Good place to take the children, the price for the obstacle course can get expensive if you have two kids or more but overall it is a very family friendly place. We go here quite often in the summer when the kids are off of school and they ALWAYS have the time of their lives here. We prefer the fresh water parks and it's not too cold here versus Roger's Park. We also love they have family movie nights and family events. read more

I've been taking my kids to this place for the past 2 summers! I absolutely love it because it's clean, close to the house and fun. I would take my boys there 3-4 times a week. $25 dollars for a full day of fun! ($5parking, $10 EACH for the inflatable course) $75-$100 for the week of fun. HOWEVER, the prices were raised on the inflatable obstacle course from $10 per person to $15 per person. (4 stars for that reason) Now it's just too expensive for me to take the kids that many times a week like I used to. $105-$140 a week (if we went 3-4 days a week like we used to last summer) And because of the price hike, I have only brought the boys to the beach 2 times this summer. Very disappointing. We paid $15 each for the aqua park. About half of the floats were deflated, which made it harder to get over the obstacle course. When I brought it up to the attention of the front desk associate he said that after the hurricane Irma there were some holes in the floats and that caused leakage of air. I questioned why in that case they continue to sell tickets to this attraction. All he could say was that he wa sorry, but it was clearly nothing was going to be done about it. No refund was offered either. Very poorly managed business. On top of that the whole lake and beach looks like it is in the middle of construction. And last but not least they have only 1 bathroom which is also used as a changing room, so the line is long and moves very slow. Not going back there. read more

This is a great place to bring kids, hang out with some friends in a pretty safe, small and confined area. It was a little crowded (we went on a Saturday) but the beach area was great. We waited in line for a little bit but we had already registered for a time, paid and did all the waivers ahead of time (I highly recommend this). My friends and I had a total of 6 kids....only 5 went on the inflatable obstacle course and they had a blast. We just relaxed in the area near there and were able to watch them. The only thing I saw as a negative was if any kid or adult fell off the inflatable, it was quite difficult to get back up. You had to ask friendly strangers to help you up each time and if there was no one around, you waited until someone did. But the kids didn't seem to mind and actually wanted to do it again. They played volleyball (they had balls at the check in place....free, you just left an ID to check it in and out). There were refreshments and food trucks on the premises but it is out in the middle of no where. We will definitely go again read more

Great park that continues to get better. Only drawback is having to leave the beach with no visible signs of lightning strikes. Warn the kids ahead of time. This is becoming a 'destination' in our small city. At $5 a carload, for a beautiful clean "family" beach, I just hope it grows. read more

Took my family today. So disappointed in this place. Got there and set our towels out enjoying what view there is. For about 15 minutes until the rudest, most self concerned people I've ever seen came set up no one but 3 umbrellas right in front of us when they had plenty of other spots where they wouldn't bother people sure not everyone there is so disrespectful but they were!!! Not even a real beach just a lake with nothing around no restaurants or anything! For us we will never go back... place is horrible!!!!! Only putting one star rating cause yelp makes you. You should be able to take stars away. read more

I went in July 2017 and traveled from Orlando to Hudson (3 hour ride) paid for the Aqua park for 4 ($40) i completed waivers. The employees told me the park is temporarily closed until all lightning storms pass understandable so I picked the time slot of 3:30pm. This was around 12:30pm so I decided to go to near by restaurant and have lunch with the kids. When I came back we went to the Aqua park and got our life preservers and then they made an announcement the park is temporarily closed again due to thunderstorms. We sat around and waited an hour then they decided to NOT reopen and gave us 4 free passes to be used at a later date. I came back a week later (7/26/17) from Orlando (3hr ride) and went to the Aqua park and showed the employee my free passes. He said I have to go back to the trailer and wait on line and then get a wrist band and they have to look up my signed waivers from before. I told the kid this was not told to me when the free passes were given to me last time. The line at the trailer was at least an hour long wait and unknown what time slot they would give me to get on the Aqua park. I got so mad after waiting all my time and the communication was horrible. They should explain the long procedure you must endure before getting back on the line. I will NEVER go to this place again. Bad Management, Bad customer service and High school employees who were rude and did not know their job. read more

This place is getting better and better! We have visited the beach a few times with the kids and enjoyed it. Then my daughter turned 7 and a whole new world opened. She attended the Lift summer camp and got the experience the lift, the aquapark and more! The camp staff was so wonderful. They were so encouraging to all the kids giving them the confidence to get up and wake board. My daughter loved the experience and wants to go back already! They will open the lift to the public in a few weeks and we will be some of the first in line! read more

Roped off section for swimming. Inflatable section for kids (costs extra). Kayaking ( also costs extra). Snow cone shop and concession stand. Clean bathrooms and showers. $5 parking to get in. Exact cash needed. Kids love to go, nice & clean, allowed to bring food too, no alcohol, no smoking! read more
