No parking spots were available so I had to park on the road and walk a significant amount to get to the beach. The beach was packed yet comparatively smaller than other local beaches. When you get to the beach, it is more dirt and grass than sand and the sand has a muddy, mucky consistency. The only plus is if you have kids that like to catch crabs, there's plenty of places for crabs to burrow which can be fun if that's your family's cup of tea! There is also a little playground area which can be fun for children as well.

I cannot tell you the amount of wildlife we saw. It was absolutely amazing. We saw Osprey and Ibis and tricolor Heron. The list goes on and on. We also saw a pair of osprey in a nest. We also saw a black vulture, a ring, neck, snake and various ducks not to mention a bald eagle juvenile. The water is beautiful. You can walk out on the dock and get a Birdseye view of the golf. They have clean bathrooms and plenty of parking. Bring your sunblock.

We try to get here before 10am (Jan 2026), which seems to be when the manatees like to "frolic" here. There's not a lot of parking, maybe 25 spaces, and there's more one street up at the tennis courts. We never see any street parking in this neighborhood. We look for manatees near the south end of the bayou, near Bath St north of S Spring Blvd. We saw several individuals and maybe a pair, occasionally surfacing their backs or peeking out for a gulp of air. It was a chilly morning, so we didn't stay long. There's a nice path around the bayou, a park, and on weekdays, a cute $5 museum, too.

The team that maintains the beach and all areas that are connected to it Do a GREAT job maintaining the sand as well as the bathrooms and parking area, as for the guard staff i have never had a problem with them (But i am polite and non-confrontational) and that is what I get back from them, One of the Best events at the beach and is open to all is Easter Morning sunrise service put on by Sprit of Grace church every easter for over twenty years there is over 400 people that come and boats anchor just offshore to be at the service. and it is always up lifting. This was my least favorite park in the area…read more It was very small, didn't have a lot of shade, the restrooms were open air & there is a very creepy industrial plant in the background so the views are not very good either. Didn't see any wild flamingos there. As a matter of fact didn't see any wildlife there at all. As it's really just a dog park with some trails to walk your dogs. Not a great place to take photos. The dog park area is new & very nice thou if you have dogs. There is three different runs sectioned off, one for small dogs, one for large dogs & one for the med sized dogs.

Dock space is great and overall a really comfortable ramp. There can be long lines on the weekends because there is only one boat ramp and space is limited. Get there early. The ramp provides quick access to some awesome pristine grass flats for scalloping. There are not many parking spaces so arrive early. There are restrooms and other facilities for recreation. This will probably be a go to boat ramp during scallop season.
