When we lived in Middlesex, I would trek to Randazzo's at the corner of Route 202 and First Ave in Raritan. After moving to Flemington, I wanted to find someplace closer. When picking up dessert for this past Thanksgiving, I arrived at 8 AM. They were already open. The staff was very friendly, especially considering it was early in the morning of what would be a very busy day, and they were still getting everything ready. They have plates of cookies pre-wrapped and ready to go or you can order a-la-carte. Their tiramisu cake is very good and my aunt really likes their sfogliatelle (also called lobster tails).

I really like how they accept Venmo as well. I also like how they had a bench you could sit at. Not sure how many people actually sit outside this place to eat ice cream but the gesture felt welcoming. I ended up getting the birthday cake and the chocolate hazelnut in a cup. They gave a pretty big quantity which I was very happy about. However, I did feel like the flavors were basic. I didn't feel like it came straight from the farm or whatever. My husband ordered a cookies and cream milkshake. He also said it was made really well and was not too sweet. Just a clean creamy cookie flavor. Of course we had to try the doughnuts. I ordered an apple and a chocolate with sprinkles. The apple was really good! It was freshly baked, and the filling was delicious and had a nice cinnamon flavor. The chocolate was also very good! They are big donuts too! 2 for $5. Now to the delicious soft pretzels! They are freshly baked, soft, buttery, and delicious!!! You can also get them in garlic, cinnamon, and sour cream and onion. For us it is a two hour trip to Flemington but we are looking for a reason to bring family and return to the area just to share this experience.
