I see why this business has so many great reviews! I came on Yelp to search for a place that offered vegan cake, cupcakes & cookies. Boy was I in for a literal treat!! This small space is packed with a whole lot of goodies. I was fortunate enough to purchase 4 deliciously moist vegan cupcakes. Unfortunately I had to share two of the four, thankfully though I was able to have a small sampling & the richness & perfect amount of sweetness was superb. I can't wait to travel back & try some new holiday flavors! Also, customer service is as sweet as the pie's they serve. I love that they offer/sell a boxed sampling of a couple flavored cakes, plus icing for when you want to order a custom cake or cupcakes. Even the website is great! My only con, I wish they had pictures showing/sharing the difference between a 3 tiered cake & a 3 layered cake. Plus detailed names/titles of cake decoration options would be great. This cute dessert spot taste delicious! It smells delectable as soon as you walk in, you walk in to an open kitchen concept where everyone is baking. They offer a variety of sweets with gluten free and vegan options as well. They have cupcakes, cake pops, pies, cookies and cater! The cake pops I got were red velvet and espresso. They were both so good!! The chocolate mint was a sample cake pop they had out on display as well for people to take for free :) it's in a location that's easy to get to, plenty of parking and it's right off 287 high way! read more

I was so excited to stop in and try out their cocoa bomb and it definitely didn't disappoint ! I don't usually make hot chocolate with milk but with this cocoa bomb I definitely recommend it , it tasted soo good! My only recommendation is that I think they should include on the label how much milk should I pour ? The label should specify something between 8-12oz of milk otherwise I'd you add to much it dilutes the cocoa bomb and if you add to litters it's super strong. J just want to make sure their customers who buy this can experience a bomb hottt cocoa!(: I did like that the bakery was clean, staff wore masks, and the girl who helped was very polite ! How can a cake shop at a gas station be a sought after spot!! I stopped by this place based on Yelp and goes to show how useful Yelp reviews are to help find a place nearby . You walk into a hall , with the kitchen at the back & the sales counter with their cakes on display in the front of the house . Not much light inside & the place was a bit dull , gloomy & not very inviting. The little cakes & cup cakes on display looked like a grocery store version & not anything special to be in a dessert shop display . I was there to pick up something for our nieces birthday. Given the pandemic we didn't want to go too far to get a small cake. Picked up a Caramel Bundt cake & Dulce de leche cup cake . Appearances are definitely deceptive . The cakes were superlative & had my check mark in all aspects m. Soft moist, tasty, creamy , everything you want in a cake !! In our next no purpose visit we had to repeat the Dulce de leche & added their Raspberry Red Velvet cup cake & we were not disappointed. Dulce flavor was spot on & consistent with the prior visit , while the red velvet was soft spongy with a hint of tartness ,combined with sweet notes, making it a tingly flavor explosion in my mouth . Best cupcakes ever ! I come here for every birthday celebration to pick up at least 3 dozen cupcakes. They have a wide variety of different flavors to choose from. And I get at least 1 to 2 of each flavor when I come. Some of my go to favorites are the red velvet, cookie butter, and banana pudding cupcakes ! If you're looking for dessert variety come here! I came in for a friends celebration, she just got into medical school and wanted to surprise her with a congratulatory cake and goodies. I was in a rush and they had an eggless cake on display, and the folks who work there were so kind to write a personal message on the top. By the checkout area, they had such a beautiful variety of cupcakes including pina colada, cannoli, banana pudding with nila wafers, carrot walnut, coconut lime, passionfruit and so much more. Even with these cupcake varieties, there were so many vegan and eggless options (labeled as so)! I wanted to try one so I chose the strawberry cupcake (which is eggless) and it was so delicious. When I told the lady at checkout it was my first time there, she gave me a brochure with all the dessert options offered and I was astonished at the looooong list. If you order a custom dessert in advance they will make it with fondant!! Good to know (: Anyways I was able to surprise my friend with the cake said she couldn't even tell it was eggless because of how dense the cake was! Chocolate Chip Cookie - This was big, soft, and chewy. There were plenty of chocolate chips and the cookie as a whole was very fresh. It was enjoyable. Brownie - Again, this was big, soft and, chewy. This was fudgy, but was not overdone with it. This was probably my favorite item tried. Cinnamon Roll - This was my least favorite item, but still was not bad. The roll was large and chewy, but something about the icing I was not too much of a fan of. It seemed to be cream cheese based and it was a little overpowering. Gingerbread Cookie - This was similar to the chocolate chip cookie regarding the texture, but was even softer. There was a pleasant scent of the gingerbread. Apple Pie - This was a personal size one and it was great. I liked the thin crust along with the apple filling with a hint of cinnamon present. It was just well put together. I saw BAM while browsing Doordash for dinner and thought I'd treat-yo-self myself. I ordered 3 cupcakes and two cake pops. The cake pops were delicious - moist and tender but not goopy or cloying. Unfortunately the cupcakes did not match that quality. I had ordered Cookies and creme, dulce de leche, and smores, but the cookies and creme was substituted with a dulce de leche because it was sold out. All three cupcakes were dry and crumbly. The frostings tasted like the flavors advertised and they looked great, but the taste and texture were not there for me. I was attending a graduation party and thought it'd be nice to bring desserts from a local bakery. I had never been to BAM Desserts before and was willing to give it a shot due to some of the positive reviews I read. The mini cupcakes were $12 for one dozen or $20 for two dozen. I went for two dozen. However, at the cash register, I was charged $24. I told the lady at the cash register that the sign said $20. She then asked her manager if that was true and then the manager gave me a refund back in cash. I noticed only after getting into my car that I didn't get the full refund I should have gotten. Was originally charged $25.59 ($24 + tax), but I should have been charged $21.33. My refund should have been $4.26, but they only ended up giving me half that amount ($2.13) back. If I come back (not sure if I will), I'll definitely have to make sure I double-check the amount they charge. In addition to cupcakes, they also had bundt cakes, cookies, and some very pretty cake pops. read more

I was in the hunt for Lemon bars for my husband and I stumbled upon this place right off Easton Ave. I wasn't able to actually go into the store because of the quarantine so I called and asked it they had any and it was my lucky day I guess. Since I was on the phone and I was craving chocolate cake I asked if they had any. They said they had a personal cake left which I took. The staff was nice over the phone and was prompt with my order when I arrived. My order was ok not the greatest but just ok. The Lemon bar didn't have that tartness to it and the crust was pretty dry more like a cookie crust. The chocolate cake although it was pretty didn't hit the spot for me. I was looking somethibg a little more dense and richer in flavor. Maybe after this Quarantine I might give it another try. read more

I ordered cupcakes from BAM Desserts for a special occasion. The cupcakes needed to be packaged and shipped and BAM Desserts went above and beyond the call of duty. I was extraordinarily pleased with their high quality of service. I'm not aware of any establishments in the Somerset area that are even willing to ship baked goods, but BAM Desserts was not only -willing- do so, they were -expertly- -prepared- to do so. They were amenable to including additional items with the cupcakes - namely, sparkling cider and champagne flutes - that I had delivered to their store and they proceeding to package everything with with ice packs and care and ship everything to arrive next day. Several guests commented on how professional the items were packaged and, above all, EVERYONE loved the cupcakes! BAM Desserts was professional, courteous, responsive, and a delight to work with. After being extremely pleased with my recent car buying experience, I wanted to thank everyone who helped make it great. I decided to send a platter of goodies as a thank you. I'm SO happy that I called BAM Desserts! I spoke with Liz, who gave me some terrific ideas and suggested I look on their website. I also looked at their Instagram page and OMG, my mouth was WATERING! I needed a last minute cake for a bridal shower and I literally found a design I liked on Pinterest, sent them the photo, and 2 days later it was ready to pick up. I had a pay a little extra for a rush order but the cake came out BEAUTIFUL and I received so many compliments on it.
